My First Pony Sketch

Ugh. I don't think it turned out all that well. It's alright, I guess, but not really very good. (That smudge on the left eye was a lot less noticeable on paper. Gosh dangit...) Technically, it's my second, not my first, but this is the first one I didn't want to burn in a fire because it sucked so bad.

I'm conflicted about this piece. Part of me despises it for being so sucky, while the other part kind of sort of enjoys it.

Part of me feels like I should put this up on my wall; the other part feels like I should burn it in an incredibly hot fire.

If the muzzle was a tiny bit bigger and farther out, there would be nothing wrong with it, that I could find anyway. Nice work. :D

This reminds me so much of my first Derpy sketch. :P Were you by chance using RaptorART's pony tutorial to draw this, too?

And this is actually really good, man. You're getting anatomy down path well, I'd just say you need to increase the size of the irises and pupils.

But definitely give it a color. It's amazing what colors can do for a piece. Or better yet, try vectoring it! (I'm sure someone in Creative Resources would be willing to if you don't want to yourself. I would but I'm still a vector noob).

What Swick said. But besides that, it looks fantastic for your first try! Not many people can do that on the first attempt, so kudos!

Nope.

Just to be clear, I'm not an artist in any way shape or form, so please don't ask me to draw more.
