It's been three years. Or four.

Hello!
Good day today! (Bonus points to those who gets the reference D:)

It's been a long, long time since this account was last active here on MLPF. I believe that it ranges back three or possibly even four years now.
Coming back has been very painful as i spent quite a lot of time here on the forums. As i look though my old PM's from 2012 i get depressed. I wish that i could go back to the time i wrote those PMs and just relive it. I wish that i still had the connection with them like i used to, but i don't and i have to accept that. No i desperately sit here and hope that my brain can think of anything else to write, but it's pretty much dead by now.

Am i here to stay?
I don't know to be honest. I am not interested in the show, but my nostalgia for this forum just MIGHT win me over. >_<

I also want to thank the current staff team for what they have done for me.

That's the bad thing about nostalgia. You want to go back and enjoy it, but nothing can turn back the clock.

I know exactly how you feel, believe me. There's a website I used to go to, the first forum I was ever on (it wasn't related to MLP). I spent so long on there. Made a lot of connections. Then something happened, and I became less and less active, until eventuallly I quit going there altogether and practically forgot about it. Years later, a few months ago, I remembered how much I loved that forum and felt motivated to go back. So I did.  When I got there, I quickly realized it had changed. So, so much. The forum is basically dead now. Almost everyone I knew has left. I PMd a former friend- someone who had helped me through extremely hard times- only to get a bitter response and come to the sad realization that that person, like the forum itself, was not the same and had changed for the worse. Occasionally, I go back to that website and sign in, just for the sake of nostalgia (even though it's got a completely different design than it used to), and I quickly just feel sad and depressed, remembering what I used to have there that I've lost it all for good. The hardest part is excepting that fact.

Just as a random side question, can I ask why you lost interest in FiM?

When i lost the connection to the forum, i lost connection to the show. I used to be on another forum though. It was run by former staff members of this forum (Zoop and Keygear). They, unlike the ones who ran this forum at that time, knew who i was and took me in with open arms. I even got a message from Swoop who was a staff member here, expressing his opinions on me and how he disliked how i was treated here.

That out of the way, even if i was at another MLP based forum, i never went back to the show itself.

Welcome back, Vicke.  The forum definitely isn't the same.  While the newcomers mean well, I still miss the regulars from 2012 and 2013 when I was most active here AND most in love with the show.  I continue to watch the series and while I still enjoy it, the old magic isn't there anymore.

Anywho, nice seeing you again. :)

It's unfortunate, for sure. But it's to be expected! Thank you <3
