Dead or Alive 6 Vent

So, I don't usually spend $60 on games...if I do I usually sell other games to lower the price(I know it's not the best route to go, but to each their own). This is like the second game I have purchased full price on the Xbox One and I was kind of disappointed that Dead or Alive 6 Core Fighters was released two weeks after the game launched. I knew the free to play version was coming, but the developer didn't give a concrete release date of when when he was asked during an interview. I assumed that it would be some time later in the year and not two weeks after it launched. Honestly, if I had known that, I would not have bought the game as I mainly enjoy playing fighting games online(which is offered in the free to play version as well as some of the single player content like arcade mode). I even vented to one of the clubs on Xbox Live about it and they actually deleted my post. Am I wrong to be upset over that? I am guessing the game did not meet sales expectations, but still, I don't think that is an excuse to not be more open with your consumers about their game. I think it was a crappy move on their part. I guess it's my own fault though...oh well.

This frutration makes sense. This is a case of the publisher not being clear for the sole purpose to making sure they sell as many copies as possible before releasing that free Core version. It is bad enough that the game has a $93 season pass, this here is low as well.

This disappoints me as a DOA fan. I may not be as big into the series as I used to be, but this bare bones set up and jacked up price model is putting me off giving the new game a shot.

And no, you're not the only one who's upset.

I do think that is ridiculous, but I can't say I am surprised given the amount of paid DLC there was for DOA 5 Last Round. However, it's not really something that is necessary to have in order to enjoy the game as it is just for cosmetics. That being said, I don't think it should be acceptable for any developer to charge that much for paid DLC(especially just for costumes and what not). It sucks to think that this is a thing now. Back then, this content would have just been included in the game for the players to unlock.
