This is how I've always felt about the fandom criticisms, even back in G4. The incessant Student 6 hate was what annoyed me the most (I just missed the Starlight drama at its peak). No matter how good G5 was, a lot of people would reject it just because it wasn't G4.

But I must say I've been surprised by how many people liked the movie and dislike the later G5 content. My experience with G5 has been pretty much the opposite – I found ANG quite underwhelming (not to say there weren't things I liked about it, especially Sunny's portrayal). MYM chapter 2 was what made me a fan of G5 – not to the extent I was with G4, but I still enjoy it.

I can relate with not clicking with the "Everything from G5 has been on a downward spiral since the movie!" rhetoric at all. My high point with G5 has been MYM Chapter 4 (with the sixth chapter being a close second) and before that, it was MYM Chapter 2. 

Misty Misty Misty, there's so much negativity because old fans are gonna gripe - they miss a great team, a great story and a great period of their lives. If you enjoy this thing, then that is fine I do too! But that feeling of loss is the root of all fan gripe-ishness, and there's no problem with that.

Gen 5 was trying to do something different to FiM, which it had to do. It wasn't trying to appeal to the old fan base, because that fan base... was crazy and kinda time specific. Make Your Mark is solid kiddie story writing, while the Movie was absolutely hooves down fabulous and a very worthy legacy. Tell your Tale is a Ponylife attempt to ape kiddie stuff that I never even liked much as a kid (but as a fan, I can't help myself so I watch ).

Psssh the show is just bad.

Their acting is bad.

The plot. Bad.

I wish netflix supported Hilda more than this baby show. Yes this aint for kids gen 5 is a toddlers show at best 🤣 

You know its bad since you see less and less contents about gen 5 and even up to now there are more content on gen 4.

Execution! The y lack this or they actually executed the show 😆
