Ronel Blanco showed his excellent pitching performance to throw nine no-hit innings for the Houston Astros to pick up their first win of the season. IT'S A NO-HITTER FOR HIM! The 17th no-hitter in Astros history.

Do you guys think that a no-hitter is excellent for a single pitcher?

Another thing is a perfect game, a subcategory of a no-hitter in which no batters of the opposing team reach base at all, is even superior for a single pitcher to achieve than just a no-hitter.

Of course complete game no-hitters are epic! I remember I watched Reid Detmers' no-hitter live in person and it was a thrill!

I just wish pitchers were allowed/able to go further into games like before. The complete game is a lost art.

Being their efforts for back-2-back World Series titles was denied at a very close margin by the Texas Rangers, the Astros might have momentum to surprise me again.  They have Joe Espada as their new manager.
