It’s kinda crazy just how hard they dropped the ball on Wild Manes. Hasbro cancels TYT early last year, basically will have no new animated pony content this year, would’ve been the perfect opportunity for another horse show to try and scoop up some popularity. But the show wasn’t even good enough to do that. Of course doesn’t help that you bave TV shows competing not only with other shows obviously, but with YouTube, TikTok, and streamers now. Kids just aren’t gonna watch something boring or so formulaic with all the entertainment options they have nowadays.

Funny story, TYT getting that BS cancellation...is actually what killed Wild Manes. Episodes went from getting 40-60K views in a week when TYT was airing to only getting 4-6K views in a week after TYT ended. That's a 90% drop that happened the very week after TYT's last episode aired. The official TYT channel on the other hand, despite being dead, is still seeing episodes climbing their way to new milestones with The Blockywockys coming close to being the next episode to hit a million views after Tiny Trot, which just hit a million and a half views. Even unreleased TYT content on a fan channel can pull in more views than Wild Manes now. What does that tell you? No one is watching this show to fill the void of losing TYT because all it's ever been is a less entertaining TYT.
