A Sonic Adventure~! 
But in all seriousness, the first Sonic Adventure game wasn't just fast-paced action songs. They had some experimental tracks, not too different than this one, that added to the atmosphere, made the different levels and hub worlds feel even more open than they were, and did not clash with the feel of the game in any way.
Sonic Frontiers also had some atmospheric music, but I think Adventure did it better.
