Tuxedo Kamen!

blog-0216499001346529022.gifThe weekend has arrived and It's time for reviews. 244 views, 100 in a few hours. I am shocked. I started three series with you and left a small synopsis of each episode. Now for the text ya'll have waited for.

First: Rurouni Kenshin

With seven episodes, this is the series we advanced the most. Setting the tone of the season early, the overall plot is still easy to determine, and character development hasn't really taken place yet, but at this point the stories and background of the characters keep the viewer interested. Keeping in mind that the series was written for younger boys, there isn't much thought in emotional growth. However the battles are entertaining to watch, and are flashy, but not yet technical. Art style is traditional for the type of genre, realistic but not complicated or cluttered. Voice acting for the Japanese version is strong, contrary to the one of the English dubs, but the language is easy to understand and follow.

Weekly Rating: 8/10 Brohoof's

Overall Age Suggestion: Teen

Second: Wolf's Rain

Three episodes in, the series has yet to show a clear direction with main characters, but Its captivating point lies within that element of uncertainty as well. Plot is confusing, and unpredictable. The character development is present by the third episode. Each character is well thought out, and even with the raw emotions that are supposed to seem primitive, the characters are easy to understand and relate to. The technical details are absent though, in the beginning. Artistically, the show is slightly more American and rather detailed but fit well. The music of the series fits well, although in English. The voice acting is fitting, but not outstanding in either language. Word usage is casually intelligent, suiting the target audience.

Weekly Rating: 7.5/10 Brohoof's

Overall Age Suggestion: Teen

There will be no review of Speedgrapher in this weeks wrap, for not enough enough progress was made in the series

In conclusion, anime was conquered. The war against boredom is being won. Fight on and watch the Japanese animation!
