Wasting days without talent

Civil Sunset

Let me tell you, I am a decent singer. I can do any melody after I hear it or what anyone requests. However, I feel like my voice is being wasted.. I'm not in a band or anything like that.. I get lots of praise from lots of people, but I haven't done really anything to further this potential career.(I guess.)

There is a problem I have with singing and its a pretty common one: Stage fright. I wish I knew how to overcome this problem of mine. By myself I'm just fine, but on stage? *Gulp* It's a nightmare, one that I want ended.

That's enough from me, but maybe I'll talk about it more another time.

being a good singer, being able to make people happy with it even more is a great gift...

Stage fright sucks, I love to act myself (comedy), but it took me so long to find the heart to join a group doing that, just because I was shy/ frightened/ idk...

I don´t know, maybe you should just try smaller audience you already know (family, good friends, just a few people you really do know, you trust), that could maybe help you get over it, or build a bit more self-convidence for your gigs?

I had a similar issue at one point... I had a brilliant singing voice, but I ended up going no-where with it and giving up... mind you, I didn't have stage fright until someone told me I was singing off key... Which I really shouldn't have paid attention to because I was making it up as I went along, so they couldn't have heard it before...

Now I've lost my touch... I can't sing in-key anymore, and I regret not pursuing my talents further...

Now I'm stuck... I don't know what job to do, and I'm worried about missed opportunities... I'm miserable I tell you!

Then, why not start again? If you want, we can sing together. I wouldn't mind helping if I could.
