Hello, and an Awesome Brony Soldier.

Hi everybody, this is my new blog, where I talk about whatever happens to be on my mind. Now, firstly, I'd like to sort of lay out what this blog will be like; I present my my topic, and my opinion on it, generally in a rant format. This is all my opinion, and I don't intend to force my opinion on any of my readers. (Assuming anyone bothers to read my blog at all.) I'd like you to exervise the same decency; I have no problem with you expressing a conflicting opinion in the comments, but do not be upset at me for disagreeing with you, and do not try to force your opinion on me. You can feel free to present facts in support of your opinion, but at the end of the day, if I'm not convinced, I'm not convinced. In such an event, I'll be happy to simply disagree with you and continue on my way, and I hope you will be content to do the same. So, moving on, there will be some minor swearing on this blog; I will try to keep it to a minimum, and there will be absolutely no usage of the F-bomb or the word sh**, but I will occasionally use the words "damn," "hell," and possibly a few others. If you are not okay with this, then please don't read as I would rather have people just not read my blog than offend people by not warning them. Now, since that's over with, on to my point.

----

Today a picture showed up on my newsfeed on facebook. It depicted an American soldier, smiling for the camera, and hugging a plush Berry Punch toy. (I don't know what her official name is, I just call her by her fanon name.) The caption read, "This is a man I know, who recently enlisted in the army. When the other members of his training group discovered that he was a brony, they proceeded to ridicule him. He, rather than retaliating or being ashamed, proceeded to upload this picture. Haters gonna hate. :)" Now, firstly, I'd like to say I have the utmost respect for this soldier, who not only is proud of being a brony in the face of ridicule, which I can very easily respect in its own right, but because he is a soldier, who enlisted in the army for the sake of protecting the good of our country. Words cannot describe how much respect I feel for this man right now. But, I also find it sad that in this day and age, when soldiers are supposed to be paragons of discipline, honor, nobility, and respect, this man faced ridicule from his fellow soldiers simply because he likes a show which happens to be aimed toward little girls. It saddens me that anybody feels the need to make fun of bronies, but the fact that U.S. soldiers have been insulting and putting down one of their brothers for being a brony is just depressing. Anyway, I guess it's not particularly interesting, but that's my blog post for today. Just my opinion on this whole scenario. Once again, so much respect for this man.

From what I hear, most people in the military don't get messed with for silly stuff like that. If someone's tough enough to enlist, they're likely not ones to be trifled with, in the first place. ;)

Also I once met someone who was stationed in Afghanistan, and he said everyone was playing Pokemon in their spare time. Not exactly a manly activity.
