Old Cheezburger profile being misused

My past experiences with support aren't really instilling confidence, but what I found out now is the icing on the cake.

After the accidental deletion of my old profile by them and some kind of partial restoration, and me creating a new profile, the old profile name has most of the time been used for my comments, and this is also why I have been missing my avatar picture there.

I figured this out today, and also that the old profile is still accessible, and then I noticed that someone else had been posting vulgar comments and added similar site links to my profile since a day or two ago.

It's just the old profile. On my new one, nothing seems touched, thus this is not a client security issue. (And I take good care of that anyway, being versed in IT matters.) It looks more like someone who gained access to the old profile due to the restoration process is doing this.

It's not like we can help with that.

Harmonic, I've seen you around a lot and I've come to like you here on the forums but that comment sounds really rude.  At no point did he ask for help.  He seems to just be chronicling his day for those who would want to read or simply venting on an issue.  Reading a blog is your choice, so please don't belittle someone's entries if you have nothing nice to say.

Yeah. So what?

I just wanted to mention it, and I find it quite surprising that this can happen at all (not too surprised though) and that someone would actually do this, since it constitutes a felony, and if Cheezburger isn't completely low tech, they'll have the IP logs and can trace the origin. And if it was a disgruntled employee, that would tell a lot, too.

More shaking my head: My ticket report hasn't been dealth with with high priority. Then, only when I got a friend request, there I found an e-mail adress for reporting abuse, and I did that and got the same auto-reply as one gets for tickets: will be reviewed within two business days. I hope that's just another sloppiness in the auto-replier, because if abuse reports aren't treated with special priority, that would be ... well ... yet another low point.
