Update on Last Blog Post and More
Nearly a month ago, when I was discussing about a community that I have then believed to have abandoned its own morals, I didn't really put any thought to the fragility of the forum that I referred to as "A", and when I speak of fragility concerning forum communities, I often speak of how one little action could bring one community down, even when it's not as blatantly displayed as the moderator/admin actions on "B-1-4". It wasn't blatant at all, though. The closing of A was the result of apathy. "G" (The owner of A) could not be blamed for anything that followed the attempt for site reconstruction, seeing that he provided a link to the "archive" (Which was in fact an exact copy of G before the site reconstruction). No one cared about being a community anymore simply because it didn't feel "real" (As explained by one user) and because of the declining post rate which was somewhat inevitable in the last weeks from the lack of innovation to keep updating site features, and this lead to apathy. It wasn't anyone's concern or obligation to go on a website constantly, and there would certainly be alternatives that are just as good or better. It was better to forget things, and I'm sure this cycle is perpetual for as long as humanity has formed groups and cultures. So that's gone, what's next? That's what I've been trying to answer. On an unrelated note, I think my writing on here tends to be over sensational, but the thing is, is that it entertains me. Besides from a few other places, I have never viewed writing as a hobby or even entertaining, but I guess it's the diverse audience here that enables me to type out thoughts without worry. You all have different opinions and personalities, and that's wonderful.
