I'm a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to designing games. Literally programming it or making digital graphics? Color me clueless.

Don't get me wrong, I love writing, sketching, designing characters, levels and gameplay in general and I consider myself to be pretty good at everything I just listed, but my abilities end there. It blows because I get great ideas for a project and do assloads of work on it, just to realize that I'm out of luck since I designed everything and wrote every scrap of dialogue but can't do anything with it. Well, I kind of know I'm heading towards a dead end from the get-go, but it's sort of become a hobby of mine at this point. Like, even now I'm sort of spawning ideas for a project almost on a daily basis, but I can't do it on my own. I'll probably ask a few people to give me a hand when every minute detail is planned out(I'm roughly 50% done), but that doesn't necessarily mean asking will yield positive results.

Bleh. Having a creative mind is both a blessing and a curse.

Have you tried using Game Maker? It's really easy to use, and you don't  even have to know how to program. (though if you're going to make more advanced games you don't really have a choice). If you have any questions, please PM me. I've got nothing to do anyway. :P

I'm not a fan of simple games. I prefer the "go big or go home" method, though I still like 2D games, so I stick with that.
