My first impressions of Battlefield 4
Here is my first impression of Battlefield 4.
Note: I have the Xbox 360 version of the game
So, I'm only gonna talk about the multiplayer cause I haven't played the single player yet, and honestly I don't give a crap about the single player mode.
So, first let me talk about what I like about BF4. I think my favorite aspect of the game right now is the maps. I really like the design of the maps, I like them more than BF3 for sure. The graphics seem to definitely be improved; there was an issue I always had in BF3 where the graphics always looked really blurry, which made the graphics look like crap basically. BF4 seems to have fixed this issue cause the graphics look pretty great. I also like how they added in a couple new game modes (Obliteration and Domination). There also seems to be lots of weapons to unlock, I look forward to eventually unlocking them all and trying them all out. One thing that is really cool about the maps is like different maps have these cool unique features. In one map, you can demolish a giant skyscraper in the city and watch it collapse, it's pretty cool. Also, in one of the maps, the weather changes, like it goes from sunny to stormy and rainy. I thought that was pretty cool. I also saw some giant ship come and crash into the island which was pretty crazy. And on one of the maps, one of the flags was on a moving train, that was pretty interesting. I like how they made the different maps have their own unique interesting feature.
The only thing about the game that I would say I dislike is the way they designed the whole menu where you customize weapons, deploy onto the battlefield, etc. It's just a horrible menu design in my opinion. I wish they had kept it the way it was in BF3. Also, I noticed you can't view the full map while on the battlefield, you can only see it when you die and are getting ready to deploy, which is kinda dumb, but it's not a big deal.
Overall, BF4 feels very similar to BF3, but with better maps (in my opinion), better graphics, and new little features that I think are pretty cool. I'm definitely satisfied with the game so far, I think it's even better than BF3 was. And it will be even better once I unlock more weapons and stuff too. If you're a Battlefield fan, I definitely recommend getting it, you won't be disappointed if you liked BF3.
