First Impressions: Batman Arkham Origins (Warning: SPOILERS (duh))
Yesterday, I finally got my hands on Arkham Origins. This is a game I've had my sights set on for a long time now, since July, in fact. When I finally picked this game up at my local Wal-mart, my copy was in it's entirety, complete with the Deathstroke DLC and everything.
When I popped this game in, I was taken right to the action. In the past two games, there was usually a cutscene at the beginning. There's a cutscene here, too, but it's extremely short. Once it's done, Batman goes to Arkham Asylum (I'm guessing) Where he finds Black Mask. Not only that, but he also runs into Killer Croc, who you'll have to fight at the end of this first mission.
After giving Killer Croc a few bashes to the skull, Batman gets some data feed from the Asylum and escapes GCPD forces. Afterwards, he returns to the batcave and imports the data to the bat computer. The data reveals that there are a total of eight assassin's hunting him down. These assassins include Bane, Deadshot, Firefly, and, yours truly, Deathstroke. At this point in the game, Batman makes it his goal to take down all eight assassins before Christmas morning.
Yeah, this is already sounding like a good game. Since this is a prequel to the Arkham series, Batman is not wearing the same Batsuit from Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Instead, he's wearing the Earth One Batman suit. It'll take me a bit to get used to this suit, though, since I've grown accustomed to the Batsuit from the first two titles. Deathstroke is a pretty cool character to play as, too. Though, you can only play as him in the challenge mode. Something I'm a bit disappointed about, but it's nothing I'll lose sleep over. Will this game be good? Well, I'll leave you to find the answer to that (No, seriously, get this game. It's so much fun)
