Intro Monster hunter 1 is a action rpg game with some loot elements. this is the first entry in the series and for the time very impressive graphics for the ps2 generation. Its a game that is actually very difficult tho short compared to other games in the series. So lets jump into the world of monster hunter.

Story. The story is very simply your a new hunter in the village and you must hunter monsters to help the people stay safe..........yeah monster hunter is not very heavy on story at all your their for the game play so if you need a strong narrative in your games monster hunter may not be for you but dont let that stop you from trying this gem out.

Game play. You start by accepting quest to learn basic skills like killing,gathering,fishing ectra. After a bit of that you get whats called a urgent quest once you complete a urgent quest you can go to the next level of quest indicated by a star symbol like this 1=* , 2= ** , 3*** and so forth after you get done with 2 star quest you get to actual hunt its all gathering up to that point! So Quest game play works like this you have a objective and you have a set time limit to complete your objective they s may

include hunting a monster,capturing a monster, gathering, or other things.

Weapon/armor types and upgrading. In monster hunter their are many types of weapons great swords,hammers,swords an shield, duel swords. their are also long range weapons like bow guns. As for armor their are 2 types blade-master armor and gunner armor if your using a melee weapon bandmaster armor s what you use if your a gunner you use gunner amour. all armor and weapons upgrade in a variety of upgrade paths to upgrade you need money and monster/environmental materials this is the draw of monster hunter you loot what ever you can find so you can upgrade your weapons and armor some materials are rare or hard to find so their alot of grinding in this game i suggest using the monster hunter wiki online if you need help.
