Oh we' well aware that there were other ways. However being there and observing, would've been more dignified, then say admitting that you violated Changeling sovereignty and had spies doing the observing. Oh what a scandal that would be.

Oh please. Equestria hasn't needed you for a millennia. Equestria fought it's nightmares on it's own while you were exiled for you attempted coup. Your sister was the one who battled back the darkness you neglected. Took pride in preforming your duties without asking for the recognition that drove you to madness. Ruled the night and the day, forging a stronger Equestria. All without you. You are a redundancy.

It is they who lacked empathy and mercy, and it is they who broke your sisters will. Defeat does not correlate to union. She is your prisoner. Maybe she didn't want to loose anypony else. Maybe she thought one banishment of her sister was enough. But there is no pride to be had for your "victory". Only mourning for the fall of a great leader and a great team.

So secretive about the activities of the hive formerly belinging to Chrysalis. And what do you mean "no longer my business?" Are the struggles of allied nations not of importance to me? To my sister? To the Princesses of Love and Friendship? 

After all of those accusations of collusion and illegal sporting practices that were unfairly aimed at my team, perhaps it would be enlightening if I were to do some investigating of my own. You seem to know much about the inner workings of the hive under Chrysalis and who knows? Maybe you are concealing a dark secret of your own? Perhaps such information would reveal something about the civil war that threatens the tranquility of Regent Thorax's kindom. And perhaps an investigation might reveal who might be stoking the flames of dissent? I seem to have encountered some creature quite recently who has been behaving in such a manner. Now..  who was it?

...however, there are far more important matters to attend to presently, so such an investigation must wait for fairer weather.

There were a myriad of problems that led to the unfortunate creation of Nightmare Moon. Passive neglect and solitude whilst facing the demons of my subjects was but one piece of the puzzle. And how so kind of you to try reopening that wound to let its blood and tears spice up the political mud that you keep slinging my way.

You accuse me of taking advantage of my sister's feelings after you just used her reign to insult and demean me? She is not my prisoner. She is my ally. My sister. My friend. My family. We have resolved our past struggles and I have always loved her deep down, even when my spirit was trapped by the beast that was Nightmare Moon. Had I saved the Element of Laughter, no doubt you would still be calling me down to the dirt, accusing me of getting revenge on the Princess of Day. The decision was not easy but also not driven by emotions. You think I don't know this is a game? I know it is a war. I have fought wars and have had to see countless brave soldiers die. I let some sporting fun into this for the sake of morale and distraction, but don't think I did not feel the pain of every creature as they were absorbed. I am doing what I always do. Keeping the nightmares at bay for those that are here. Strategically, the Elements must ALL survive in order to be at their maximum potency, and so divided from the start in an elimination system, the odds were never in their favor. 

But keep assuming all you want about me. It's what you are going to do regardless. My apologies for the continued confusion that is known as Daylight Savings Time.

We are not your allies and the hive still belongs to our liege and yours. After all, Princesses kneel to Queens. What remains is anarchy. A warlord and despot wears a false crown and leads a treasonous cult. And no I'd imagine they wouldn't be. They obviously weren't a concern 1000 years ago.

I hope you understand if I don't exactly take you at your word. The word of a coup starting despot and rebel leader is pretty worthless. You can say those things but your past history says otherwise. 

If the element of laughter were spared I might've been more lenient. The light of laughter, to balance the darkness. Your sister would've been in good hooves. But it was one domino that set of a series of events which revealed your teams true colors. We in good confidence cannot back a team lacking in moral fiber like yourselves. You don't have team mates. You have prisoners and spoils of war. 

And if you do understand the pain of those lost, that this truly is a war, then how about you show it. Live it. Breathe it. We don't distract ourselves from the pain, for it fuels us.  We don't celebrate our victories, for that is a dishonor to the defeated. Every soul that falls by our hooves will haunt us. Even if we are victorious, the guilt of what we've done, what we had to do, will haunt us from this life into the next. How could we look those we sent into oblivion in the eyes? Any victory in this war, will be a Pyrrhic one.
