  1. I actually have a theory about Toffee, and his "unpleasant" history with the royal family.

During the Mewman-Monster War, the Monsters found themselves on the losing end of the fight. My evidence of this can be found in Mewnipendance Day, when Star decks out Marco and company in far more superior armor and weapons than what the monsters have. So, in an attempt to turn the tide of battle, the magic-versed monsters pooled their powers together to create a creature who would fight for them. A creature who could never be truly killed, who possessed the ability to heal his wounds as quickly as he suffered them, who was more devious, sly and cunning than anyone or anything could comprehend, who knew magic inside and out and could wield it at will, and finally, who would wage unending war against the Mewmans, overthrowing the royal family before culling every last living Mewman until there are none left. That creature's name was Toffee, and fit the bill he was given in every battle he fought in. Of course, the Mewmans won the war, and Toffee went into hiding, meticulously planning for the next great move against Mewmanity.

Cut to the present day, when Ludo is waging a struggle against the Mewnian royal family to steal the Royal Magic Wand. Disguising himself as a mercenary for hire, Toffee learns about Ludo's request for assistance in stealing the wand. Seeing his chance to get back at the Mewmans, Toffee accepts the offer, before slowly but surely taking over Ludo's assets, such as his army and castle. He planned to force Star into severing the wand crystal in half, knowing it would destroy his physical form but not his spirit, which then inhabited the severed other half of the crystal. Knowing Ludo would find it, he fused the crystal with the skeletal remains of his right wrist, forming an evil wand. He then spoke to Ludo telepathically, convincing the bird monster to bring Star to him. Ludo failed, but instead he took the Butterfly's spell book, which Toffee worked his plan around. He convinced Ludo to open the forbidden section of the book, telling him the false promise that the forbidden section would grant Ludo powers greater than anything he'd used so far. Instead, Toffee possessed Ludo and the rest is history. Now, with the crystal embedded in his palm, and with the powers of Queen Moon and the Magical High Commission (and possibly Glossaryck. Nothing's been confirmed involving him yet) Toffee now intends to execute the final phase of his plan. To regenerate his physical form and kill Mewmanity, starting with Star and the royal family.

I Personally DO see Celestia and Luna as that worlds Deity's, as A: they are Immortal, and B: One raises the Sun the other the Moon, imo that equates to Deity  Cadance too is immortal and her  realm of influence is Love

Cadance isn't immortal like Celestia and Luna. She was born a normal pony before evolving into an alicorn, meaning she'll still have a mortal lifespan. Same story with Twilight.

  3. Hidden for first time viewers. My thoughts on the Season 2 finale. Read at your own risk.

I just watched the Season 2 finale, and frankly, I feel physically sick from what I've just witnessed. I don't think I've ever seen a villain as powerful or as ruthless as Toffee. It was like in Revenge of the Sith when the Jedi Masters led by Mace Windu went after Sidious, and were promptly defeated. I was home from work and was about to resume my normal life of World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and Tomb Raider while watching TV, but this.....this has left me dysfunctional. Shocked. Scared. I fear for the lives of Marco (because Toffee's finger is still in the guest room's closet and I'm almost certain Toffee will come for him first) and the Butterfly family, not just Star. However, they also did bring it on themselves, so I'm not especially sympathetic.

On a side note, I cannot even celebrate the confirmation that Star harbors feelings for Marco. Toffee has left me so afraid that not even celebration will fix me. To think I spent the last couple of days looking at Starco fanart while listening to love songs on Spotify.....

Season 3 can't come fast enough. Just imagine if this was the series finale. I think I'd actually throw up if it was.

  4. Celestia, I'm late to this party, but I've been watching Star vs the Forces of Evil since Episode 1, and yes, I have borne witness to the happening of Jarco. I'm much like Star in this regard. On the surface, I'm super chuffed for Marco, finally getting the girl of his dreams. But deep down, I want Star and him to be together. It's not just about their relationship being right. They're perfect for each other. Star's wackiness and bubbly personality contrasts perfectly with Marco's guarded but willing character. Not to mention they've fought to the death to protect each other time and time again. All the while, being a Starco shipper, I'm aware that we will be faced with Jarco for an unknown length of time. Not that it bothers me. I like Jackie's laid-back personality, and that she's totally willing to commit to her relationship with Marco. I respect that. But I ship Starco more. Like I said, it's just right, and Luna willing, it is written in destiny.

As for the show itself, I love it. Star herself is a rarity on most TV screens. She's completely bonkers and happy-go-lucky, but it's not overblown nor flanderized. She's pretty chill at other times, as well as serious and a true friend when needed. To be honest, she's the kind of person I wish a had a friend like. I'm also really impressed with Marco. He has gone from strength to strength over the course of the show. He hasn't remained the safe kid. Ever since he met Star, Marco has matured significantly, even to the point where he was able to admit his deepest insecurities to Jackie in public. (no thanks to Naysaya of course) What lies in store for him is a mystery, but he's been a sort of example for me to follow. I hope this does not change anytime soon.

Next on the list is Ludo. Yep, again a villain has made my list of favorites. In Season 1, he was pretty OK. He was the archetypal ringleader of a group of clumsy, half witted mooks. Success rate = 0%. No surprise there. One season later and he has evolved into a proper threat, with an army of rats, a spider and an eagle under his control. Am I impressed? Very. Ludo didn't need some cliche magical artifact or power-up to gain an edge over Star. He simply didn't give up. He fought harder than ever before, and look how it's turned out for him.

Overall, I love this show, and I hope it runs long enough and keeps up the quality that it can go down as one of the great cartoons of the 20th century.

  5. Halloween as a holiday still exists in Ireland, but I fear it is declining in popularity. Less and less kids go out to trick or treat, and those that do don't come home with buckets full of candy. Spaces in shops for Halloween decorations have gotten smaller in recent years. Pumpkins are still sold, but I wonder how much of them are purchased before the night rolls in. Don't get me wrong, Halloween has always had roots in Ireland, from when it was known as Samhain during Celtic times. When I was a kid, there were lots of trick or treaters going around, and the candy was plentiful. I'm not saying I know for sure considering I never celebrated Halloween; I used to be quite scared of the holiday. But something tells me that it has shrunken in popularity these days. Maybe it has, maybe it hasn't. I don't know for sure, but something tells me it has.

  6. Tough Nut had finally come to, his eyelids slowly creaking open. He felt groggy, even more so than when he would after waking up each morning. It was either that, or there was some great weight crushing his body. He tried raising a hand, only for it to hit metal. Finally, he had fully woken up, the sight of a locker greeting him. Nut found himself trapped inside the car workshop's basement, beneath the locker and a pile of boxes containing various tools. He tried calling out for help.

    "Grease! Wrench! Somebody help me!"

No one heeded Nut's calls, leaving him with the option to wrestle his way out of his predicament. Luckily he could still move his right arm, so he tried using it to find the nearest available tool. Nut possessed the ability to keep calm and think, even when he himself was in trouble. Right now he was planning to use whatever he could find to prop up against the locker, in order to focus on dislodging the boxes that pinned down his legs.

  7. We've started, but feel free to join with who you want. XD

    Awesomesauce!!! :yay:

In that case I volunteer my OC, Tough Nut. https://mlpforums.co...tough-nut-r8817

Apparel: Canterlot rugby jersey and tracksuit pants, Nike trainers. Also carries a backpack for storing his weapons. (Nut likes his defensive measures compact and within reach in case of an emergency)

Weapons: Steel wallet chain, plastic Star Wars toy lightsabre, army surplus ammunition box which doubles as a bludgeon and a container.

Primary objective: Find a firearm, enough ammo to survive and adequate protection for his body.

Secondary objective: Get out of Canterlot using whatever means necessary.

  8. Oh, and by the way guys, I'll be playing as the only survivor of the facility massacre. My intro starts with me returning to the lab after drinking some tea in the canteen to keep me awake. I saw the chaos in the labs and sounded the alarm, before evacuating the complex to the city. Only I know what's going on, so once we all begin playing together proper, I will brief you on the Rage virus and what we need to do to stay alive.

  9. That's three! (Four including me). Wow, this is gaining steam fast. Maybe two more should do it. While we're waiting, here's the premise for the RP.

Somewhere just outside Canterlot, a team of medical scientists were commissioned by Celestia to develop new medicines for use by hospitals throughout Equestria and the general public. However, while out in the woods where the facility complex is based, a mare associated with an extremist animal rights group heard the cries of chimps from inside. Determined to free them, she and her fellow activists infiltrate the facility and attempt to free the chimps. However, they are unaware that the scientists had, in the process of trying to create a flu vaccine, created the Rage virus. A freed chimp bites one of the activists, infecting him. The infected activist then infects the others in the facility, and soon they go on a rampage towards the city.

The roleplay will begin in Canterlot as we are individually going about our day. The first act will be a desperate fight for survival as the infected begin to overrun the city. We will then meet up among the crowds making a run for the castle, which will be opened as a safehouse.

  10. So apparently, Nigel went all levels of evil and the video is dark like really dark, like the original seriesnever got that dark. I loved the video and to see something new from KND made me insane levels of happy. So the question comes down to is, do I think the anamic is legit? I say hesitant yes because of the fact of it has genuine VA and the animatic style of work. By I style I mean I can tell someone has put heart and soul into it. I said hesitant because in the there is a website and when you type in "galactic", it leads to a countdown to, you guessed it, April Fools. So yeah this myabe a Apirl Fools joke. Then again, why would most of the whole cast of KND,including the creator, go to all this trouble just to troll us?

For more vist my blog post on the subject

I just watched the video and it left me majorly confused. (and a little bit scared.) Have Nigel and Abigail really turned evil? Or were they playing us all this time? Whatever it is, I hope this reboot gets the green. Cartoon Network seriously needs to rebuild its credibility, what with the shows that came out after the classics got axed.

EDIT: Oh, that's a damned bloody shame. This reboot looked the sh*t and all.

  11. This is something I've been thinking about for a while now, but how long more can Spike stay a baby dragon? There needs to come a time when he evolves beyond childhood. There have already been a few missed opportunities, such as the Crystal Empire when he rescued the Crystal Heart from Sombra, in Gauntlet of Fire when he chose to help Ember and give her the staff rather than take it for himself, and more recently in the Season 6 opener with McFlurry Heart. So if not then, when should Spike earn his wings?

  12. It will be nice to possibly see Cadance and Shining Armor again, but knowing that Queen Chrysalis could be making a return will really be the main thing on their minds since they both know she is coming back seeking revenge on them for her defeat back in A Canterlot Wedding, and if Chrysalis' revenge involves Flurry Heart, that will really have Cadance and Shining Armor paranoid, fearing what would happen if Chrysalis was able to kidnap their daughter as part of her revenge against them.

Either way, it does confirm that the shape we saw flying towards the Empire at the end of The Crystalling was possibly a Changeling scout preparing for Chrysalis' siege by infiltrating the Empire to inspect the defenses and Flurry Heart so Chrysalis can plan her attack accordingly. Let's hope that Sunburst and Twilight are ready for it.

Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting for this?! I'm mentally beaming at the thought of a Changeling spy, even more so a Changeling assault! :D

I mean, it's only bloody logical. A villain like Chrysalis would only retaliate after a shock defeat. Her victory in the S2 finale seemed so certain and all. Or at least it would have been thanks to the foolishness of seven certain ponies.

  13. I made a similar thread a long time ago. It was confirmed (I think by Meghan McCarthy) that Luna as we see her now was the same Luna before she became Nightmare Moon. However, after she was sapped of her powers by the Elements of Harmony, she was left severely drained. But after taking the time before Luna Eclipsed to recover, Luna regained her powers, and with them, her pre-NMM form.
