  1. I'm so unbelievably excited for this game. I have been waiting for a new SimCity for far too long, and am very happy that one has arrived. I don't yet own a copy, so I'm stuck watching LPs on YouTube. It looks so fluid and dynamic, I must buy the game and play it until my computer gives out.
  2. Figured I'd use this opportunity to shamelessly bust out a little of my art for free views you guys. Currently, my main topic has been ponies, so all of my uploaded work is related to that. I do dabble in Pokemon however, as I love the series to bits, regardless of how many "dead" generations they bring out. Without further ado. My avatar, Cutesy Luna. http://akoura.deviantart.com/art/Smiley-Luna-327715533 My Ponysona/OC http://akoura.deviantart.com/art/Stuck-in-a-Snowstorm-338212312 Some Bubbly Trixie http://akoura.deviantart.com/art/Twixie-s-Bubbles-348798768 Sylph Sky, the Sylveon Pegasus. http://akoura.deviantart.com/art/Sylph-Sky-355006840 And... some attempt at poniless humour from forever ago. http://akoura.deviantart.com/art/Bad-Puns-273620986 ------- That's all from me here for now, but certainly not my entire collection. So please, feel free to check out one of my other many several other artworks at akoura.deviantart.com, and tell me what you think~
  3. Unless you have the billion-billion dollars to spend on a good Intuos, I'd suggest a Wacom Bamboo. As noted above, they're simple, straightforward tablets. I still use my Bamboo tablet that I bought many years ago, and it has yet to fail me. Don't worry about all the bells and whistles that come with the higher-up tablets and instead invest some money into a good art program. I love Photoshop. Love it to bits. If you haven't got anything aside from GIMP(free and like Photoshop, but not as smooth or user-friendly) than I would suggest buying an Adobe Creative Suite pack. Adobe Creative Suite comes with Photoshop, as well as Flash, Illustrator, Fireworks, After-Effects, and several other programs all in the art range. If you're serious about an aspect in art, or even if you simply want lots of arty things to dabble in, I would suggest that you get this. The programs are all connected in a sense that you can move projects between them to get whatever desired effect that you like. I can't count how many times I've not been able to get a shape/stroke right, so I've jumped into Illustrator to smoothly vector it up for use in Photoshop. ^.^ I hope this wall is of use. xD
  4. Woah, geez! That's a lot of response for a short nap! owo Chillin' be my middle name! Oh, that and 'Danger', 'Patience' and occasionally 'Harriet'(don't ask). I'm sure there's much that I can sink my teeth into~ While I try to keep my wits about when posting, to ensure I keep everyone happy, don't be surprised if I take you up on this offer if I need assistance with anything. Excuse the pestering if I do, however, as I like to make sure to understand everything about a topic I am unfamiliar with. Are you just starting out as a digital artist? I would personally suggest anything in the Wacom Bamboo range. Simple, basic, effective, and they usually won't cost a billion-billion dollars. Don't be afraid to spend a little extra money to get a larger sized tablet, as there is nothing more frustrating than trying to draw a line and having your hand slip off the edge. x.x Well, we don't talk as much as we should(as I hear he is quite an interesting person), and our meeting was nothing spectacular. Just kinda bumped into each other through the internet. I'd not known he'd been a part of this place until another friend, who knows him (possibly) a little better, told me he was part of this place. -------- Thank you all for such welcomes~ Its things like this that help cement my desire and confidence in joining this forum. I hope that I see all of you around!
  5. G'day everypony~ I'm Akoura and am quite new to the forum. I've had my eye on the place for a while, but only recently decided to become a part of it. I'm an Australian brony who loves to make digital art, and dabbles in other things. I do so enjoy a good ponyfic and roleplay. Oh, and I'm an acquaintance of ~Chaotic Discord~ But don't tell him. <.< >.> I'm not very good at writing welcome threads, forgive the brief introduction, and please feel free to have a chat with me. I'm rather friendly.
