Managers get a bee in their bonnet when you're late, but when they're late and keep you waiting it's all fine and dandy... Sounds like yet another case of a manager indulging in a bottom shelf, subpar, bargain bin power trip to make them feel more important than their station actually details.

Funny you should mention Securitas though. I used to work for them via an agency as a cashier in a bank vault facility over here in the UK. I ended up falling out with the manager when he reported me to my agency, accusing me of having an attitude problem. Which was a complete and utter lie on his part. I ambushed him in his office and confronted him over it the very next day before quitting. I contacted my agency about an hour later and I quit on them too, seeing as they couldn't be bothered to come to me for my side of the story.

I really can't be bothered with people or organizations with such a terrible attitude problem towards those they work with.

The place ended up getting robbed a couple or so years after I quit. Millions stolen.

My mother is in a similar situation. She usually is the first one to arrive at the job, sets up the coffee machine for everyone, maybe does some light sanitation work, maybe some light file organization for everyone. She doesn't have to do ANY of this stuff; she just wants to make the office a little nicer to work at. No one thanks her for it, but they all enjoy it. But if she's ever the slightest bit late? If even ONE person gets to the office before her? They treat her badly, like she really messed up. Even if she still clocks in around the same time as everyone else, if she's not there super early, she gets crap for it.

I honestly can't bring myself to work in an environment like that. I'm a pretty punctual guy, I pride myself in it, but even I need room to relax at least a little bit.
