  1. @Samurai Equine Silver is a bit apprehensive at first, but after observing the way his friends were so relaxed around the monkeys, he decided to also relax, and let the creature look through his mane. “Oh, and what might that reason be?” He asks Gotaro.
  2. @Samurai Equine Silver looks to Samurai with a confused expression. “Uhhh, what was that? How did that work?” He asks. “I must be missing something here.” After a short wagon ride, they arrive at their next destination: a natural hot spring. Silver pays attention to the instructions his friends give him on how he should bathe and rinse himself off before entering the pools. Of course, he follows their advice before joining them in the hot spring. Silver sighs happily and relaxes as he sits down in the water which is very warm and pleasant. “Yes, this is quite lovely.” Silver nods his head in agreement, looking at the monkeys who were also in the pool for a moment. He’s not sure if it’s normal for them to be hanging out here with everypony else, but he doesn’t say anything about it as he doesn’t want to seem rude.
  3. @Samurai Equine Silver looks back at the timber wolf as he disappears into the forest, smiling and giving him a wave as he departs. Once the timber wolf is gone, he turns his attention back to his friends. “Certainly, Samurai.” Silver replies. “I’m only here to watch you two train, otherwise I believe our business is finished here.” Silver uses his magic to create a flame and hovers it near Samurai in hopes it would help him warm up.
  4. @Samurai Equine Right, harmless, that’s totally the first word that came to mind. Silver thought to himself. But to Gotaro’s credit, the timber wolf came right up to him and waited patiently. Silver couldn’t help but look at the creature with a smile and pets the timber wolf on the head several times. He also notices out of the corner of his eye that Samurai’s kurokos appear once again and helped his friends quickly change out of their armour.
  5. @Samurai Equine Silver watches as the polar bear wanders off back home, and turns back to Gotaro. He gives him a questioning glace as he looks over to the timber wolf before looking back. “Uhhh… I can’t say that I’ve ever considered it. You truly must be talented with animals to even offer something like that.” He goes silent for a moment as he considers the proposition. “The adventurer in me cannot turn down an opportunity like this. Sure, he can have some head pats. Now, do I approach him, or does he want to come to me, or…” Silver asks, unsure of how to initiate this. He is still somewhat weary of the fact that the timer wolf is a wild animal, regardless of Gotaro being there or not.
  6. @Samurai Equine Silver’s eyes go wide as a polar bear now joins the fight, along with the timber wolf that had been sitting beside him earlier. With all these animals coming together, he hoped that no creature got hurt. He could tell that Samurai was starting to lose energy, but his friend certainly was not going to give up. Even when it seemed they had him pinned down, Samurai waited until they dropped their guard and sprung back up and back into combat. Their practice session ends with them both having their swords at each other’s necks, the fatal blow if the fight had been for real. “Wow, that was intense! You two seem like a really good match for each other as far as your combat experience is concerned.” Silver commented. “I agree with Gotaro, I certainly don’t think you have any reason to worry about being out of practice, Samurai. You fought strongly and valiantly here. You did too, Gotaro, of course.”
  7. @Samurai Equine Silver is initially shocked by the sight of the timber wolf, but calms down slightly when he determines that this particular one must’ve been summoned by Gotaro, as it does not act aggressively towards him. He turns his attention back to the fighting, noting that things had ramped up significantly between them. Samurai has started using his fire magic, while Gotaro calls up some animal friends to help give him an advantage. For all their efforts, they are still able to match each other’s strikes.
  8. Aaaaaaaand it seems the kirin are off to an amazing start, putting up a huge lead right out of the gate! As they should be. Also, who could forget about Izzy and Sunny? Both tremendous new additions to the team!
  9. @Samurai Equine Silver would likely never be fighting with a sword, but he still watches the fight as his friends go back and forth. The swords may only be wooden, but the strength at which they strike at isn’t a joke. Every move they make is well thought out, and it’s clear to see that they had practiced together many times before.
  10. @Samurai Equine Silver watches intently as once again, Samurai’s kurokos appear from seemingly out of nowhere. They set up some temporary banners and take them down just as quickly, revealing the two warriors dressed in their armour sets. But this time, they have sparring weapons as opposed to real ones. “Oh, no need to worry about me, Gotaro. If I do get that cold, I can always set myself on fire. I’ll be fine.” He says casually as if it were an everyday occurrence.
  11. @Samurai Equine Silver nods as his friends explain this significance of the setting. “I see, I understand why you picked this setting now. Well, as you know, I’m not much of a fighter, but I’m down to watch the two of you practice. Perhaps I might learn something from it. Myself, I would be more focused on trying to build on my strengths than my weaknesses. But then again, I’m also not a samurai warrior like you two are.”
  12. @Samurai Equine The ride to the snow region goes over uneventfully. When they arrive, Silver gets out and looks around. The place they’ve chosen to fight is rather nondescript, in his opinion. It’s an open clearing with trees off in the distance in all directions. It is rather cold out, but as a kirin, an instant heat source is always available to him. Silver takes a seat on the nearby bench. “So… what’s so special about this place?” He asks. “Seems rather… normal.”
  13. @Samurai Equine “You’re very welcome!” Silver grins. “I hope your colt enjoys it.” He watches the colt and his mother walk off into the crowd before returning his attention to his friends. “Well, I thoroughly enjoy that. Now then, unless there’s anything else you wish to show me, I suppose we can head on our way to the snowy region now!”
  14. @Samurai Equine Silver looks to the mother and then back to the colt. He gives them a kind smile and takes a step back from the toy. “I don’t require any payment. I don’t need bits. I am simply wishing to give you this gift because I can see how much it would mean to you. Please, go ahead, it’s all yours.”
  15. @Samurai Equine Silver nods slightly after hearing the information Gotaro gave him. “Yes, little one, this gift is for you. I insist.” He replies to the colt gently, pushing the box slightly closer to him, fully aware that he would have to ask again before the gift would be received.
  16. @Samurai Equine “Yes, I do.” Silver nods his head slightly in response. “I don’t need bits. I find far more happiness in helping other ponies who need it.” Silver takes note of the colt Samurai points out and trots up to him before he gets too far. “Hey there! You look like you would enjoy this way more than I ever could, would you like it?” He sets the box down in front of the colt with his magic.
  17. @Samurai Equine Silver looks down and sees that he has indeed gotten the golden bead. He can’t help but feel excited that he had won something, even though he has no idea what that something was. One of ponies working at the booth would give Silver his prize; it appeared to be a figure of some sort. It was nothing that he recognized, clearly from a regional show or at least unique to Japone. Silver smiled as Gotaro explained the rarity of the toy, and while he may not have a use for it himself, he had an idea of what he could do. “I’m not disappointed, Samurai.” He says to his friend. “I still won something, even if I’m not familiar with it. Tell me, might there be somepony you know who would appreciate this? Maybe a friend or a family member? If so, I’d like them to have it.”
  18. @Samurai Equine Silver watches as both Samurai and Gotaro partake, a white bead falling from the machine for each of them. “Ah, I understand the premise of this game.” Silver remarks as he observes. “I think I’ve encountered similar things like this before, but not quite the same.” He decided to play as well, spinning the drum for a while until he decides to stop, and waits expectantly to see which colour bead he might get.

  20. @Samurai Equine “Games?” Silver asks as they walk out of the store. “What sort of games? You’re right, I’m good for food, and I think I have enough souvenirs now. But depending on what they are, games could be fun.”
  21. @Samurai Equine Silver watches the kurokos as they vanish with the supplies. “Big deal or not, it’s special to me either way. You spent your time and effort making something for me. You created a memory that I can look back on any time I use this compass.” He comments as he places the compass into his saddlebag. “That’s what’s important to me.” He smiles. “I also find it interesting learning more about your culture. I like that gift-giving is seen as something valuable. I wish more ponies thought this way.”
  22. @Samurai Equine Silver is surprised when not only do Samurai’s kurokos appear from seemingly out of nowhere and hand him supplies, but he also starts making a new compass right there in the middle of the store. The kirin watches closely as his friend puts all the components together and checks that it’s working properly before giving him the finished compass. “Wow, Samurai.” He says, still a bit surprised. “I wasn’t expecting you to make one so quickly… thank you.” He smiles. “Things that are made by a friend using their own talents and skills are really important to me.”
  23. @Samurai Equine “Well, I don’t wish to pressure you, Samurai. Only if you feel comfortable with it. It would, however, be a very nice memento for me to have with me at all times. Something that would serve as a reminder of the great times I’ve had and the amazing ponies I’ve met here. It would definitely be used; I can guarantee you that much.” Silver says with a smile.
  24. @Samurai Equine Silver can’t help but laugh as Gotaro goes rambling off about all these different gadgets and the various things they can do. He nods in agreement with Samurai. “Yes, I definitely don’t want to have tons of gear to lug around with me everywhere. What’s this about you making compasses? Is it something you still do?” He asks, curious.
  25. @Samurai Equine As Silver continues to look for saddlebags, Gotaro comes up to him and shows him a rather interesting device. It’s a metal cup that apparently can heat its contents and turn into a light or a heating pad. “Huh. That looks very interesting, Gotaro. I agree, that looks like it would be a useful thing to have. I shall add it to my collection of things to buy.” Silver replies as he continues his search. He does eventually find the section with the saddlebags and selects a black bag that has a gold-coloured clip. It might be a bit simple, but he feels like the colours compliment him well, and more importantly, it has plenty of space for his things. “Alright, well I think this will do, unless there was something else you wished to show me?” Silver asks as he places all the items in his new saddlebag to make it easier to carry them around.
