I don't go around volunteering the information, but I'm fairly comfortable talking to my friends about mlp. Basically, I'm as closed as it's possible to be while still being friends with other bronies. -
This is exactly what I'm worried would happen. I always have problems being articulate about things like this in real-life conversations. -
The best way I think to do this would be to find an article that basically says "here's what Ms. Faust has worked on, and now there's this new My Little Pony thing!" and e-mail it, or post it on Facebook or something.It's obvious to me now that I'm overthinking this, and the better option would be to just tell them, since I don't think they'll be too weird about it.

My parents are super tolerant, so most of the uncomfortableness in our relationship comes from my general awkwardness. I've been trying to work out a way to let them know without actually just saying, "I like my little pony." My newest plan is to take the "Lauren Faust made PPG and Iron Giant" approach, which seems good since both of my parents love those. I have a hard time telling them this kind of embarrassing stuff, though.

Derpy's just adorable, and happy. It's not like every other pony laughs maliciously at her, any more than they would laugh at anypony else. -
I like the idea of more screen time for Vinyl, but I'd honestly prefer if she didn't speak, like, ever. I was pretty disappointed with Derpy's voice, to be honest. -
I was at a small party of mostly other bronies. After a few weeks of feeling left out, and a lot of sheer boredom, I resolved to at least try it. I started with the pilot episodes, and in a matter of days I had gotten up to date on the show. I'm now a brony for life, or at least until I get tired of it, although I probably wouldn't freely admit it in public. Thank you, anonymity of the internet!

Well, I took a look around these forums, and I'm already starting to love it here! No-one is mean like on other forums, and I'm interested in what you ponies have to say! I'm no longer bored. I like it here.

I'm Noah, and I'm a little bored. I know a lot of bronies have some sort of heartwarming story about how they found the show, but I was just bored, so I watched the first few episodes. Before I knew it, I was through the first season, and that was that. I'm a brony now, I guess... still not fully comfortable with that. Anyway, I'll wrap this up, I feel like it's getting a little long. I like watching the show, listening to the songs (so catchy, right?) , and occasionally I try my hand at drawing my favorite pony (Pinkie Pie) . Nice to meet you all!
