Since we're on the issue of dubbed anime, take a look at this picture and see if you recognize the character on the far right...

Yep, that's Near from Death Note. For those of you who don't know, the english dub version uses none other than Cathy Weseluck as the voice talent. She also did the voice for Spike. So there ya have it! Spike is Near! Now try getting that one out of your head.

I wouldn't mind seeing a male character (aside from Spike) take on a more active role. I wouldn't want 5, 1 would be plenty. Maybe someone like Soarin. He could be a little more active in the show, appearing here and there to lend a supporting role. Maybe even take Rainbow Dash out sometime. I know, we don't want the show to delve into shipping. But something involving him and RD would be cute.

Yeah there was a bunch of talk on EQD not long ago (I think maybe one of the interviews) that Derpy might have a talking role in one of the upcoming episodes. That would certainly be interesting to see.

I responded to you in the general thread in the everfree forest, so we don't derail this topic with game talk.

Evilshy asked me this in another thread, I'm responding here so we don't derail that one. Regarding the classic TBS game Alpha Centauri...

What faction is your favorite to play? I'm usually the university or Spartans. and i pretty much always go for conquest. Even if I win a different way, I keep playing until I kill everyone XD

 

Well, of the traditional factions I kinda rotated who I liked the best. It all depended on what style of victory I wanted to go for. Usually I preferred the University, but the Spartans and the Hive were both real fun. Occasionally I went with the Gaians just for fun so I could go out and capture a bunch of mind worms, and them PSI the crap out of my enemies, no matter what weapon technology they had. That and being able to use xenofungus as roads was totally epic. I could lose pursuers in that stuff so easy, and then turn around and ambush them.

I got tired of the traditional factions though and so I created my own. I went into the game files and replaced the Peacekeepers with my own invention called the Cylerian Alliance. All new city names, new faction stats, all that. And then I had to edit some other game files too, I changed around the economies a bit because I didn't like the balance. That -5 police on Fee Market was ridiculous. So I sorta customed my game a bunch. It's been forever since I played just the stock game.

Well we all know that Pinkie Pie is the most unusual pony in Equestria. I wouldn't say she isn't nice, but she can definitely be a bit freaky sometimes. Take the ending of Over a Barrel. She's breaking through the bleedin' 4th wall!

Okay, I've been playing too much alpha centauri lately. For those who don't know that game, it's like civilization in space. Made by the same people, too.

Unfortunatly, I have no pets... I managed to keep a garden snail alive for 2 years, but that was 4 years ago...

 

I had an uncanny snail colony thriving in my fishtank, back when I used to have fish. I don't even know where they came from, but I had them for years. Never had to do anything for them either. They were just there, constantly spawning new ones. Forever. They even outlasted the fish. Weird.

• Shuffle! (a very cute romance)
• Gosick (a must see for anyone interested in mystery)
• .Hack//Sign (I'm a gamer, so this is automatically awesome)
• Sailor Moon (what can I say? It's a classic)
• Death Note (the question of what happens to a person given the power to kill. very deep stuff)
• Claymore (kinda gory, but a cool adventure anyway. Good for hack and slash)

Interesting, looks like Octavia has more followers than DJ-PON-3. Would not have expected that.

Personally I'm going with the all-time favorite Derpy. She's just so much fun to look for because you see her in so many episodes. As I'm still a fairly new brony whenever I rewatch an episode I try and spot her.

I loved it when Discord did a perfect Q-snap to disappear in a flash of light. Absolutely spot on. Made me go and rewatch a few episodes of TNG after that.

Check out who Luna made friends with on the moon. Equestria look out!

Don' forget that Lyra also attends(attended?) the same school that Twilight does as she waves to Twilight in the first episode. As to what her business is in Ponyville is beyond me, maybe she dropped out?

 

Or she was sent by Celestia to secretly keep an eye on her star pupil. Really, it's a great disguise. Sitting human-style on a park bench, looking like any normal background pony. But Twilight.... she's watching you.

Regarding Derpy:

I actually heard that Derpy worked at the post office, and that she was assisting those movers for some sort of delivery. Could be wrong of course, but that's what I heard.

My bet is that they will get it at the end of this season

I have a 14 year old black bombay cat named Bingo. He's the sole survivor of 5 I used to have years ago, but the rest died (long story) and he's all I got left. Actually, I've had him for more than half my life now. So he's like a genuine part of the family, with pictures of him dating back to when I was just a lil kid. Crazy.
