@, It'll most likely be alright, I can't really see much plot coming from a contaminated river. But the real story will start soon, I'm just getting you both introduced the setting. @@repsol rave, Hmmm, that does seem interesting. I'll keep that in mind but for now, the water will probs be clean.

@, @@repsol rave, "Oh, we do have equipment for checking water" Hearth said "But it broke during the crash landing, we're trying to fix it now" She frowned "I'm terribly sorry about that. However, I can come with you if you want. I know how to check for clean water... if you don't mind me being around of course" She thought she was being rude by trying to go along with the two ponies, a small blush warmed her cheeks

@, "Interesting life philosophy" Peppermint commented Leo finishes his pineapple and throws the remains of it away. "I can't wait to have a crack at that whiskey we have at base" Leo smiled Peppermint snapped his attention to Leo "You brought alcohol into the base? Do you know how much crime is caused due to drunk behavior?" Leo swore under his breath as Peppermint lectured him on drunk crime. He turned his attention elsewhere by cleaning his revolver.

@@repsol rave, @, Three ponies with medical jackets were in the tent. They were busy trying to get some machinery working. Dr. Hearth, a white unicorn with pink hair, heard her name called. She stopped what she was doing, exited the hut and approached the duo. "Uhh... Hello" She said shyly "Some pony called for me?"

@, Peppermint noticed that Blast was taking charge, but he let it slide for the moment. Once the camp was set up, the sky got darker until night time descended on the trio. Leo was busy munching on a pineapple whilst Peppermint was tapping away at his data pad. "Blast" He called "Just out of curiosity, what do you think of Romula as a leader?"

@, "Yeah man, stop arguing" Leo said to Peppermint, he just ignored him "It shouldn't be too bad if we go well into the night. I brought camping gear just incase" Another hour passed, the trio seemed to be getting closer to their destination as they noticed more and more scrap metal lying about. "Right" Peppermint yawned "We're still a few good miles away, so I think it's best we rest up here for now. We'll continue travelling after about an hour or so"

@, "Hopefully" Leo shrugged "She was anti-social before the crash landing, but that just might be aimed at me" "I don't blame her" Peppermint muttered Leo gave him an unimpressed look "Right, and I suppose you know how to chat up mares better than I do" "No. I'm not interested in social interaction" He said coldly "Unless it's related to my job"

@, Leo sweated nervously "For the sake of my heart and health, I would prefer to walk!" He laughed then turned to Peppermint "As long as you haven't got a problem with that?" Peppermint glared at Leo "No. No I haven't" The trio of ponies made their way out of the settlement. Peppermint was plotting the route onto the data pad, the map was growing in size as he scanned the area every now and then. "So Blast" Leo said "Which of the sunshine sister do you like most?"

@, Leo sighed "Well, I mentioned Peppermint but I didn't tell you much about him" His enthusiasm faded "The guy is really strict with orders. Very no-nonsense. He just really kills any fun in the atmosphere, you get me?" Coincidentally, Peppermint was nearby. Leo saw him and called him over. "You better not be wasting my time again Leo" He hissed "I have a job to do" "Keep your hair on Peppermint, Romula has a job for us" He handed the data pad to him Peppermint glanced at it and looked back up at the two "Very well, I'll go along with you. But I insist that we do this in a professional manner. No goofing around"

@, @@repsol rave, Everett raised an eyebrow at the two. He scribbled in his notebook again. "Very well, I'll just make note of where you two are going" He said with a lack of energy "As for equipment, I don't know if we have anything that could help off the top of my mind. But Doctor Hearth, she's over in the shack with a red cross on it, she might have something. Go ask her" He ripped a page out of the notebook and handed it to the duo. It had the title 'Check River' written on it as well as his signature. "Just hand that back to me when your done. That way I can keep track of things"

@, Romula thought quietly to herself. She pulled out her data pad and pressed a few buttons. "Well, I suppose I can trust you" She hands the data pad to Blast "Give that to Peppermint. He's my 2nd in command. I want him to go with you so he can make a map of the surrounding area" Leo nudged Blast "Oh boy, this is gonna suck"

Romula carefully wielded another piece of metal to her shack. It required her full attention. Any distraction could- *Crash!* "Son of a Discord!" She cursed She turned around to see the two ponies that caused the distraction. "Leave? Are you nutty?" She wiped some dirt off her face "It's starting to get dark. Where are you planning on going?"

@@repsol rave, @, "Next please?" Everett called out The yellow stallion was sat at a desk, scribbling in a notebook. He saw two ponies up ahead in the line that were chatting. He waited for a minute before calling out again. "Next please!" He said in a more stern tone, hoping to grab their attention

@, "Yes please" Violet gave a weak smile "Just... anything related to my parents would lift my spirits" She looked over at Leo who was flirting with Madrid. Their laughter could be heard from quite a distance away. "And take Leo with you, I don't want him near my sister" She gave a disgusted look

@, "Help me find my parents" Violet rolled her eyes "My sister is right here you-" Madrid interrupted the conversation "Don't be so touchy sis, he's only trying to help" Violet suppressed her anger and continued "Right, sorry. *sigh* I'm currently waiting for permission from Romula to leave the base. Since we're not trained like the Marines, she thinks it's dangerous" She suddenly perks up "But you seem to be allowed to leave. Maybe you could persuade her that you'll come with me to look!"

@, Rock's body stiffened as Selune spoke to him. Realizing that the question was friendly rather than professional, he relaxed. "Good day to you" He greeted "My name is Rock Thatcher. I'm currently working as a doctor for Ponyville hospital, but I've worked in other locations. Do you have a job?" ((OOC: Rock is a very work orientated pony, so the way he socializes can be a bit odd!))

@, Balloon smiled at the approaching mare "That's some good thinking Ms Sharp, luckily we've been drinking from our own water supply so far" He pointed towards a Yellow stallion "Tell Security Officer Everett that I gave you permission to check out the river. He'll give you the necessary equipment to carry out the task"

@, Violet tried to ignore Blast but his direct approach made it hard to do so. "Oh, I don't know" She said sarcastically "Being trapped on a foreign planet with no way off, doesn't that just make life grand?" Rubbing her eyes, she put on a more serious tone "My life has gone to hell, I don't know where my parents are, I have to look after my sister, we're stuck in some place we never heard of... how the heck can you cope with that?"

That much is obvious” he rolled his eyes, a few of the crowd chuckled “But as with all problems in life, we make do with what we’ve got, right?” Behind the red pony are recently built shacks surrounding the crash site. “Too be honest with you... Poor choice of words for a politician, let me start that again!” He laughed “Too be quite frank, I don’t think we’re in a bad situation. No pony died during the crash that we know of. We’ve got plenty of food to last us months. And some of us are already working on building farms. The river at the bottom of this hill is a blessing!” The crowd happily talk amongst themselves. “Now, I might not be the most professional pony here. Heck, I worked as a comedian for the past 20 years” he rolled his eyes “But I am arguably the most caring pony you’d ever meet” The crowd let out a few cheers. “Thanks guys. Anyways, I’ll be walking around the place, seeing how every pony is doing. If you happened to stumble on a problem, just come find me and I’ll do what I can to help” Balloon grins “If your looking for some work to do, Security Officer Everett will be giving out jobs. You can find him in one of the shacks” He starts to make his way of stage. “I wish you luck everyone. I’ll be around making more humorous speeches later” he winks at a nearby mare, she faints

@, "Awesome!" Madrid smiled "That's way better than what me and Violet do. We're just boring colonists" Violet muttered under breath "This is so depressing..." Leo opened his saddlebag and pulled out some candy bars. He put them on the table. "We found these during our scavenging run" Leo said "Take one, this might be the last time you have a candy bar for a long time" Madrid happily took a couple and started eating them. Violet just pushed them away from her.

@, Madrid took interest in the conversation between her the two stallions. However, Violet was distant and barely responsive. "You should see how fast he can go!" Leo put his hoofs in the air for dramatic effect "It was like WOOOSH! And I was all... Hey Violet, are you listening?" Violet seemed to be staring off into the distance. She ignored Leo. "Okay fine" Leo muttered "Anyways, he's super fast!" Madrid's eyes widened "That's soooo cool!" she cheered "How did you learn that?"

Cool! He looks like a good character Before you join though, you gotta pick one of the factions to start off in

"Nah man, don't you worry. The younger sister, Madrid Sunshine, she's the friendliest earth pony you would have ever met!" Leo smirked "Her sister, Violet, is a bit of an uptight unicorn. But still friendly. Just follow my lead" He dragged Blast over with him to the table "Guess who?" Leo joked Violet sighed "Oh no, here we go" "Hiya Leo!" Madrid greeted "Who's your friend?" "This guy is Blast, he's stallion of many talents! Ain't that right buddy?" ((OOC: Going off to bed now, will be back in ten hours!))
