  1. Clayton sighed, as he watched Blueblood walk away. "Come on. We should get home and get some sleep." He said, glancing at Ruby. "Tempest'll probably be with the dragons tomorrow." The unicorn then trotted towards his home. He was somewhat tired, and felt like he could fall asleep at any moment.
  2. Clayton nodded slightly. "I doubt anypony goes into the forest that much." He said, as they approached the entrance to the forest. "Besides, if anypony does find them, they can simply fly away." The unicorn then smiled assuredly. He wasn't to worried, but it would definatly diminish their chances of finding and stopping the queen if they didn't have the dragons.
  3. Clayton nodded, as Tempest left. "It was a pleasure to meet you." He said, looking at the dragons. "I promise that we will find a way to stop the queen." The unicorn then followed Tempest out of the forest, but took a different path. Orion sighed as he watched the two ponies leave. He then smiled slightly, as he trotted over to a small lake in the cove, and went to sleep.
  4. Orion smiled as he walked through the trees, and into the cove. He noticed Tenbra with another Night Fury, and smiled. "Well, I'm glad that you two found each other." He said, as he noticed the three ponies. "I'm assuming these are friends of yours?" Clayton noticed a new dragon, and was stunned by it's size. "This is simply amazing. This pony has managed to befriend five dragons, and managed to keep hidden for so long." He thought, turning his attention back to Tempest. "That reminds me, you never did give us your name."
  5. Clayton was slightly stunned by the questions. "My name is Clayton, and this is Ruby." He said, motioning towards the mare beside him. "I guess we could ask you the same thing. Are you from a different island or something? I don't remember seeing you." The unicorn cast a wary glance at the dragons.
  6. Clayton glanced at Ruby, and nodded. "Let's just hope this works." He said, as he slid down the hill leading into the cove. He then noticed two Night Furies and two other dragons. "Well, this just got a lot more complicated." He said. The unicorn then backed away very slowly. Orion noticed a few fallen trees, and landed on the ground. "This must be where Gale is." He thought. He was actually on the opposite side of where Ruby and Clayton had entered.
  7. Clayton nodded, and smiled. He was honestly excited about seeing a new species of dragon. "Come on. The trail continues this way." He said, following the path of broken trees and scales. "I just hope this dragon isn't to aggressive." The unicorn then turned his attention back to the trail of destruction.
  8. Clayton listened closely, and nodded. "That must be the dragon we're looking for." He said. 'Come on." The unicorn then galloped ahead to make sure that it was safe. Orion sighed as he flew above the clouds. "She should be here somewhere." He thought. The dragon then sighed, and decided to fly closer to the tree line to get a better view.
  9. Orion nodded. "Ok. You can search in the forest while I search from the air." He said. The dragon then flew higher above the trees, and began to patrol the skies. Clayton nodded, and smiled. "Ok. Let's go." He whispered. The unicorn then began to trot towards the forest.
  10. That night, Clayton trotted up to Ruby's house, and knocked on the door. "Ruby, are you ready?" He asked. Orion sighed as he flew over Equestria. "Our best bet is to look in the forest." He said, glancing at Tenebra. "If your daughter is there, then that's where she'll be."
  11. Clayton smiled slightly, and shrugged. "It's interesting, to say the least." He said. "Who knows, it could still be somewhere on Equestria." An idea then popped into Clayton's head. "We should look for it tonight. It's not like we'll have time, what with dragon training and all." Clayton visibly shivered at the mention of training. Orion nodded. "The last time I saw her was during last night's raid. I haven't seen her since, though." He said. "She may still be on the island."
  12. Orion smiled slightly. "Well, there's a good chance they're alive." He said. "You're daughter wouldn't happen to have grey markings on her face and wings, would she?" Clayton leaned forward, and thought for a moment. "I thought I saw something like that." He said. "I'm not sure, though. Why do you ask." The unicorn had a hunch where this might lead, but he simply waited.
  13. Orion sighed, and glanced at Tenebra. "I'm sorry." He said. "I wish there was something I could do. What was your children like?" Clayton laughed slightly, as he moved the hair blocking Ruby's eyes, after moving his own of course. "You got something right there.'' He said, smiling slightly. The unicorn then leaned back and simply floated on the waves. He then sighed, as he closed his eyes. "So, what do you want to talk about?'
  14. Clayton smiled, and jumped where the sand met the water. The impact sent water everywhere, and he rose to the surface. "Come on, the waters fine." He said, his eyes being slightly covered by his wet mane. Orion nodded. "That's understandable." He said. "I actually lost my parents a long time ago, when I was just barely able to fly. Let's just say that my love life hasn't taken flight either." The dragon then sighed, and closed his eyes as he flew.
  15. Clayton laughed slightly. "It's not my fault it tickles." He said, as he noticed the sand of his secret area come into view. "We're here. Race ya." The unicorn then took off galloping towards the ocean water, ready to dive in and have some fun. Orion nodded, and sighed. "Tenebra, those who have challeneged her have all met the same fate. That thing has no weaknesses, as far as I can tell." He said. "Anyway, we need to change the subject. So, what's your family like?"
  16. Orion smiled slightly, and followed Tenebra. "That was brave of you to say." He said. "I don't think anyone's been so outspoken to the queen before." Clayton nodded slightly. "I agree. The waves just seem to relax any tense muscles in the body, and it feels amazing feeling weightless." He said, a hint of excitement in his voice.
  17. Clayton smiled, and motioned for Ruby to follow him. "Come on. I know this beautiful spot where we can swim." He said, trotting towards the beach. "It's normally where I go to spend whatever free time I have thinking, but I wouldn't mind sharing it." The unicorn then blushed slightly. Orion's muscles tensed. "Tenebra, stop. You really don't want to fight this one," He said.
  18. Clayton smiled slightly. "Well, while we wait for a opportunity to present itself, why don't we go for a walk. The sand feels great on the hooves." He said. "What do you say?" Orion cast a suspicious glance at the queen. He didn't trust her, and didn't know how she would react to Tenebra. " Please let her be safe." He thought to himself.
  19. Orion got in front of Tenebra protectively, shielding her from the queen's view. "I won't let her hurt you." He thought. Clayton sighed, and shrugged. "I don't know." He said. "She's trying her best, though. It's not like she can please everypony." The unicorn then looked out into the ocean. "The best thing we can do is to play along. We won't be able to do anything until we think this through."
  20. Clayton sighed, and glanced at Celestia. "I'm sorry." He said, before following Ruby out of the great hall. Orion sighed, as he dropped his catch into the pit containing the waiting maw of the queen. "Probably because she's lazy." He whispered, as he landed on one of the outcroppings. in the side of the cavern. The dragon then laughed slightly.
  21. Orion sighed, and shook his head. "It isn't that easy." He said. "The queen's head is bigger than me, from what I can tell when she swallows the dragons who don't bring back food. For now, all we can do is wait and hope." Clayton stopped outside of the great hall as he heard the conversation between Ruby and Celestia. "Damn it, what did that girl get herself into." He thought, as he entered, and put a hand on Ruby's shoulder. "Come on, Ruby. It isn't worth it." He said.
  22. Orion nodded, and dove into the mist surrounding the dragon's nest. "Yes, we do." He said, a hint of despair in his voice. "It's like we're prisoners on our own island." Clayton sighed as he trotted out of his house. He noticed a few ponies were preparing the ships for a voyage. "Celestia must be going out to hunt for the nest. That means training starts tomorrow." He thought. The unicorn sighed and trotted to the great hall.
  23. Orion shrugged. "The other dragons and I usually raid that villiage for food. We basically give what we catch to our queen, and she protects us. If we don't, well..." The dragon didn't finish the sentence, as the two dragons were surrounded by the other reptiles that had participated in the raid. "Just follow my lead."
  24. Clayton smirked, as he noticed the other ponies leave to head for the grand hall. "I guess I'll see you later, then." He said, as he headed home. He planned to simply get some food and head out to the beach. Orion nodded slightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tenebura. You can call me Orion." He said.
  25. Clayton smirked slightly, and nodded. "No problem." He said, blushing slightly. The unicorn then stood up and offered his hoof to Ruby, trying to help her up. Orion glanced back at the villiage, and noticed Tenebra. "Who are you?" He asked, slightly curious. "I don't believe I've seen your kind around here?"
