Lightning Bliss

She caught the blade by it's handle. It was a perfect size for her small figure, but it still felt heavy in her mouth. She never held a sword in all her pony life...the realization of the fact, lit a fire under her rear. Finally she was going to do something worthy of this land, rather then fly back and forth for boring diplomatic meetings she felt she hardly made a difference in. Now she was really going to serve the ponies of this land, the way a true Princess would. She pulled out the blade from its helt, while wrapping its container belt around her waist. She twisted her rear around, getting used to the extra weight, then examined the sword itself. The sharpness of it, yet its artistic elegance...her eyes almost twinkled at its perfection...but quickly they darted back to a serious tone.

"Alright..." She held the blade firmly between her teeth while still able to talk, her voice firm and serious, "give me the basics... What do I need to know first when sword fighting?"

She stepped back from him, feeling like flames were coming off him as he expressed his true purpose of this mission and life...A part of her wanted to cower back in fear...tell him that he was right, that she shouldn't be here, and be ready to kill in order to protect what is good in this world...but then her eyes retracted, she glared him down...

"I was ascended to this form for a reason.." she snorted at him, no longer afraid, but motivated just as he was, "It may not be right of me to battle, and help in the killing of others to prevent this catastrophy...but prehaps that is why I'm here... To help you, and Thunder anad Tempest too... To remind you why you do what you do...and what we're fighting for...To make decisions for the good of what we're fighting for!"

She flew up above him, pulling her goggles over her eyes with more determination in her veins. "I'm ready to do what must be done for the good of our peoples. If that means I have to risk myself to save others, or have to sacrifice those who wish for darkness...then so be it... I'm the Alicorn of Peace...and I will protect it...even if I die trying...My husband..." she sucked back in a tear, "he would understand."

"But there's got to be more then that, that I can contribute in some way.... Princess Celestia didn't summon me to..." she stopped for a moment and pondered, then looked down at her hooves, "if she asked for me to aid in this time of need, I didn't expect to send preaches and words of courage to the people... I've faced some dark forces of King Sombra once...ok granted it was years ago and I had help from friends...And it wasn't the 'real' Sombra, just some dark magic he left behind..."

She stood up then and went to look out a nearby window while still being in ear shot of Wonder. "I know I'm no warrior... but I do have some magic in me...that...when the time comes it will react when it's needed. I-" She turned to him then, trying to keep a brave, yet stubborn face, "I could be an asset, use me!"

She followed Wonder down as he carried Tempest, not wanted to be stopped by Cadence nor interact with Thunder just yet, both out of fear and uncertainty. Whe he put Tempest down, she sat next to him, wondering what their next course of action they should take.

"I know nothing about fighting..." She spoke to either one who was listening, "my need for violence only seems to happen out of instinct or my father's rage. Heh...I call it my father's rage because I believe a part of him resides within me..." She looked at them for a moment then shut her muzzle. Now didn't seem the time to make chit chat.

"So...what can I do to help?"

But why do us girls really like horses, well like somepony else said, virgian woman and unicorns, being able to ride such a magical creature... And in a way horses are magical. They are an elegant, beautiful if not wild animal that has a strange bondage to us humans that we just can't explain.

I remeber the first time I galloped on a horse, sure I've had horse riding lessons, but to be free to ride a horse the way I wanted... i remember it so clearly. I was riding an old mare, and she was eagered to get to our location, before I knew she and I were flying up a hill in full gallop... I might as well been riding Pegasus...it felt like we were flying, an incredible feeling... But when I'm not riding a horse, I'm closly bonding with them, like you would with a dog...they can be so gentle and easy to read, and the connection we share is nothing short of magical.

The council all stood up and immiedatly bowed to the Wolf, already assuming him to take the role as prince. Night Lights, still in his pony form, had stood up upon Seth's entry, and was protruding what looked like spikes out of his mane and spine...his anger and disgust of what the council had requested had enraged him beyond belief...and it only got worse as Seth entered...Blissy on the other hand remained seated and emotionless...the only hint that she was unstable was the deep black circles under her eyes, her primary feathers were sticking out like they've not been groomed in ages, and her mane was messy. She looked to not have slept in days.

"Diplomat Seth?" she said in a friendly voice, knowing they were good friends, and bowed to him...but her face controted back to one of firmness and stress, "I'm sure by now you know that the Council wants you to take place as Prince by my side as Princess temporarily for the time being...?"

"It is highly recommend you except this position Sir Seth," Councilor Shard pleaded nearly with Seth before lowering his head and ears down, obviously terrified of the wolf's presence...

"An absoloute OUTRAGE..." Night Lights snarled, making the throne room rummble, "My WIFE doesn't need help from another male, wolf OR STALLION! I wouldn't allow Seth to take up role let alone that spoild Prince Blueblood!"

"With all do respect guardian of Princess Lightning Bliss..." Shard spoke up, giving the pony dragon a firm eye, "You are not of royalty nor of council...

"I am Night Lights! Son of Pyra, Matriarch of the Dragon Clans to the north, and just as a noble of a prince to any pony!" He snarled, taking up the hopes that would be distinguished.

"A prince of wyverns... who abaondoned his post to live amongst ponies if I recall..." Shard smirked at him.

"WHY YOU STUPID MULE!" The black pegasus fluttered to the air, smoke billowing from his nose.

"ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Suddenly Bliss's eyes went bright yellow in glow, her hooves smahed down, shaking the throne room more so then Night's roaring... A burst of god like alicorn magic came from her horn then, freezing everypony and wolf in place in a bright rainbow aura...For awhile it looked like they were all frozen in time aside form the alicorn that created the spell... After a minute or two, she calmed down...the magica that responded to her rage subsided as well as brought Night Lights down to the ground. He refracted from her outburst, seeming to be terrified of her reaction... "Please..." she panted, a tear dripping down her cheek..."Diplomat Seth...as your friend... I respect your opinion and logical reasoning why you wouldn't want to consider this role with me...and I'm sure you know my reasons of being uncomfortable with the situation, particularly with my husband...Forgive him... his reaction is understable..." she turned to Night Lights, gave him a gentle smile but a firm eye telling him "if you outrage like that again I'll remove you from my sight!" then turned back to Seth, "But as you can see from my appearence..." she stood up, expanding her wings, her mane, her face looking weak and unhealthy, "I cannot do this alone... I'm barely qualified as is to be leading Canterlot, let alone the entire country of Equestria...You have more experience in your roles of a diplomate then I do being an alicorn...I ask no longer as your friend...but as Princess...Will you help Equestria...in its time of sorrow...as I have?"

She looked to Wonder, and admired he took great care in assessing the situation. "Right," she said to his recommendations, "If you're ok Princess Cadence?" She nodded to the pink alicorn whom she only met a few times in her era of alicorn, "I'll write a message to the Canterlot Princesses, if its one spell Celestia ever taught me it was to send messages with my horn."

She glaced at Thunder then, noticing he was changing his coat and wings from what he was previously, she wanted to go over and lend him a carring hoof, when she felt the dark...cold...omnious feeling of 'death' that was diminishing from him...Her instinct was to back off then and let him be, but not before her large ears flatten back down like a terrified deer. She bounded away from him and ran to find the door to find a quill and scroll office within the castle before stopping to address Tempest.

"I hope he'll be...you'll be alright Tempest, for what it's worth, that was an amazing act of heroisim!" She nodded to him then bounded out, leaping into the hallway, her wings catching flight as she fluttered like a humming bird, finding an office not too far away. She levitated out a scroll and quill and began writing hastily.

As was feared, followers of the Dark King, are here, and had attempted to assasinate Princess Cadence. We are under current investigation of what has happened to the empire and Prince Shining Armor. Princess Twilight Sparkle should be informed immiedatly of the situation and family matter. However the others, Tempest, Wonder, and Thunder, strongly advise that Canterlot place itself in high alert. You are no longer safe there and need to be ready to defend yourselves from attackers, loyalists to...King Sombra...I'll do my best to inform of any updates that I need to take then. In these dark times I pray you both stay safe.

She placed the quill down, and stamped the scroll shot with a wax stamp, of the embed symbol of the Crystal Empire then focused the transporation spell on the scroll to send it directly to Princess Celestia. Her horn glowed, and within seconds the scroll evaporated in a mist of rainbow smoke, and flew out of the nearest open window to its reciever. "I hope it gets there quickly..." She muttered to herself, then flew back to be with the others.

"TEMPEST!" She whinnied as she witnessed the attack, and spotted to culprit just before he disappeared, "STOP YOU!" She dived at the foe @, hoping by some act her horn could be used like a sword to hit the attacker, only just before she reached for him, he vanished in a explosion of purple magic, her target now being the floor. BAM, her horn became lodged.

"Gah ah..." she yanked it out firmly then swirled around looking for other threats, when she calmed, she turned back, running to Cadence, Tempest and Thunder. "Princess Cadence!? Are you... is Tempest...?" She looked at them both, unsure what to do...

That's alot better, still a little stiff with the head but its defiently alot of improvement!

The council just walked in as Bliss asked Night Lights to sit next to her as guarding post for the time being, an excuse to keep him around even though he agreed to obey the Captain of the guard's rules on patrols. When he attempted to leave based off this she through out the order for him to stay...which was unlike her, but he knew why she did it and smiled respectfully and loving and sat down at the foot of the throne.

"Princess Lightning Bliss," the first of the council ponies approached and bowed, his horn touching the floor as he did. He was a shrewed looking upper crut type unicorn with a deep orange coat and gray mane, "apologies during this time of great sorrow...but as current ruler substituting for the rest of the Princesses...until Princess Memiora Cadenca and Prince Shining Armor are here to assist you, the council pleades with you to consider our suggestion for your own benfits until then."

She blinked at the council pony's sudden audience and request and noticed the rest of the ponies nodding along with him. She sighed, eyed Night Lights for his reassuring, loving gaze, then replied back. "Of course Councilor...um forgive me, what is your name?"

"It's Shard, Princess, Sleek Shard at your service," he sat down on his carried pillow along with the rest of the attending diplomates, this as tradition of them, something Bliss had never seen before. "I will get straight to the point your Highness. We all know that you are new to your ranking position as Princess, and your uncertainty as ruler...The fact you've stepped up in a time of great need is indeed a worthy attribute to your royalty." She squeemed a bit at his words, it sounding more like he were patronizing then 'honoring', "But the fact remains your Highness... you cannot control your powers that well, barely understand the basics of magic, let alone able to rise and lower the sun and-"

"Get ON with it Councilor Shard..." Night Lights snorted, being her guardian had its perks.

"Forgive me... It is strongly recommended your Highness...that until help arrives and Princess Luna and the other royals come up with a plan on how to take turns to rise and lower the sun, and with you current ruler of Equestria...That a diplomat be assigned as Prince of Equestria by your side, untill order is fully restored amongst the Princesses."

"A Prince?" She blinked and turned to Night Lights then back to the Councilor, "But Mr. Shard, Night Light's is a shape shifting dragon, and was bond by marriage and agreement to Princess Celestia at the day of my ascention that he be my loyal protector... Could he possibly be able to take on such a role with me?"

"Forgive me Princess I was not specific, I did say "Diplomat" and sadly your husband and protector, is not that at all..."

"We recommend," a light blue mare with green hair spoke up amongst the councilors, "that diplmoat Seth of the Wolven Code, be the Princes for Equestria."

"WHAT???!!!" Night Lights stood up on his hooves, a dragon growl heaving out of his throat, "THAT IS OUTRAGOUS! NO PONY IS TO BE HER PRINCE WHILE I"M STILL BREATHING!!!"

"Night Lights control yourself..." Bliss spoke up over his roar making him calm near instantly... "This isn't something I'm the least bit comfortable with...but I can understand your points Concilors...Where is Diplomat Seth? I want to hear this from him and what he has to say on this..."

Well from a critic point of view I can point out a few things off, like her neck is too long and the head isn't as big, the hips are too large and her wings are really small, but this is criticing based off I try to match the orginal MLP FIM style to a pefected state but even I can't match it exactly.

Still I can tell that's my OC very well, and you should be proud for a first time at it. My OC can be a little difficult with all the colors in her mane and tail.

"Princess Lightning Bliss," the Captain of the guard approached the young alicorn pony, who had taken up sitting in the throne of former Princess Celesita...looking very misserable and tired, "more scrolls have just come in for you. They are from the Princess of the Crystal Empire as well as the Prince."

"Leave them here along with the rest then, thank you Captain..." her eyes dripped from her own quiet crying as she continued to read the scrolls. The captain himself looked very distraught but left her in peace knowing she had her hooves full.

With Princess Twilight in morning with her friends, and Princess Luna morning as well...not to mention Cadence and Shining Armor were still trying to make preps to come to Canterlot...She was the only alicorn avaliable to take seat in Celestia's place...now that the great ruler of the sun has died..."I cannot believe this has happened..." She sighed again as she pulled up another scroll. It was embed with the seal of the Gryphons from all empires. It was a list of complaints of what is to be done with the sun, now that it has been stuck in place for days. Their crops were beginning to dry out and their rivers and creeks and lakes were suffering greatly...Their lively hoods for their fishermen were losing products and labor. She then pulled up another scroll embeded from the mayor of Manehattan. It too listed complaints about the city's lack of sleep and several citzens were having difficulties getting on with their routines with sun's status unchanged. Clocks could go only so far, but if for ponysake if they couldn't sleep!

Suddenly the door flew open, smacking the wall quite firmly by a familar exotic black stallion, dressed in Canterlot armor as was requested by the Captain during his time in service to protect the remaining Princesses. "FOR THE LOVE OF EQUESTRIA" She whinned at her husband as he came in.

"Calm down Blissy..." he approached her and bowed hummbly... "I know you're distraught...but I'm making my rounds here and I'm required to check up on you as part of it... Are you ok my darling?"

Her bottom lip quivered as the tears started up again...before she could stop herself, he flew up to her, hugging her tightly in her time of need. "The world is falling into chaos Night Lights...without her....without Celestia... what can I do? I'm only one pony...I...I can't...I can't do this..."

"Shhh..." he stroked her mane, "try to stay calm and do what you can...Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are on their way aren't they?"

"Yes...but...but....OH CELESTIA!!!" She whinnied out again, the scrolls falling off her lap.

It's a good start but you gotta remember that even in 2D characters when they make a motion, their whole body reacts in some way unless its hair moving.

So while she's walking, make her head bobble up and down as she shifts her weight along with her body stretching a bit as she places hooves down etc, her mane and tail bouncing slightly in the movement. Fixes like that make all the difference

Yes in Elementry school it happened to me, course I found out the reason why this girl hated me later on.

This girl started hanging out with one of my friends, and I went to hang out with them together, when she gave me this ugly look and asked to speak with my friend in private. So i wated for 20mins and my friend came back and told me "She doesn't want you playing with us... she said you'd ruin the game for some reason and to get lost... I just met her and I really like her, please don't ruin the game for us!"

So I had no idea what to say... I was heart broken, but I didn't want to ruin my "friend"s time with this new girl so I backed off. Turns out though this new girl knew i was good friends with my friend, she was jealous of me being sucha good friend with her and wanted me out of the picture. As the months went by she spread rumors about how horrible I was and how I was talking behind my friend's back. She also spread rumors about herself, like she was a human experiment and her parents were killed by the government and she has a twin sister who takes her place at school from time to time to protect themselves.

She has what I would call OCLD Obessive Compulsive Lying Disorder...

Anyways by the time I got into middle school my friendships weren't that strong because of her, and I ended up giving up on them because they all wanted to believe in the psycho and I didn't. College were the best years of my life, didn't have to put up with immature dumb*ss kids lol.

"Wait for me!" She darted out after Tempest, realizing he was flying at an unusal speed she couldn't hope to keep up with, not without the help of teleporting short distances behind him. "Come on Blissy, show a little effort...this is serious...Must do it...for the Princesses...for Equestria!" She focused and began making short teloprted jumps of 30 feet in mid air every other minute, just keeping Tempest in her sights.

"What's the plan when we get there?" She called out to him just as she came out of another teleportion, fluttering her wings like a sparrow trying to keep just behind him.

Well I got  inspired again, using a BG (NO I DO NOT OWN NOR DID I CREATE), from the MLP FIM, this is my OC taking a tour of Celestia's throne room

I don't find it weird at all, I'm not sure if I think about it every second, but I do know that when it coems to following morals, ethics, how my artwork goes, my optomisim, I think of MLP so... meh? It's not weird DONT JUDGE ME WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Feeling a bit bored and having finished her morning errands and managed to secretly teleport them under her hood back to her home up in the moutains, Blissy decided to pull out her sketch book and draw, feeling the need to jot down some insperation from her daily views at the figures shop, her favorite place to go rather then buying groceries.

She began to draw a hybrid, it looked much like a Chimeria, only she invisioned it to have the head of a dragon that looked much like her husband Night Lights, the other head was an elegant gryphon head, and the tail, though rather then a snake tail, it was more of an elegant lion tail with feathers on it. She was sure no creature like that really existed, but she always imagined what it would be like to meet a smiliar being like it. She flipped the page over and decided to draw another figure, this time inspired of the sea..."Sea ponies," she muttered low to herself, "I wonder what sea ponies would be like if they exist..?"

My favorite form of weather is when its like in the 45 - 50F, and windy, sweater weather, and weather thats cold enough to snuggle up against my husband in front of a fire place.

Ya alot of what you say that my OC is lacking I didn't want to put in due to I didn't want it to be "emo" or saddening since I see alot of sap stories or despression backgrounds, and since she's named Lightning Bliss, an OC that represents what I hope in my own life, representing my life and its bliss, i didn't want to ruin it. But just to fill in those gaps...

She was a pegasus born in Cloudsdale, her father Fire Strength, and her mother Gentle Feather, didn't get along well and they divorced and her mother remarried to an earth pony named Shy Hammer. Sadly though when she was still a filly and living with her father, he passed away from a heart attack during his work in the fields, he worked with the weather teams. So she went to live with her mother and step father who had moved to Appleloosa.

And you are right, she DID have a pervious love interest that ended with her ex stallion breaking up with her. She wanted a strong commitment to their relationship, getting married etc, but he didn't want any of that, he wanted to join the wonder bolt academy to become a wonder bolt and have keep his freedom. So he broke it off with her and it shattered her deeply. So to hide that, she focused on her many hobbies.

Her hobbies and talents (no they aren't perfect) primarly are she loves to draw, fly and try to do special talents like the sonic rainboom, help her mother with caring for the elderly and sick in Appleloosa, help other ponies with their misfortunes, growing apples with some of the apple family residents of Appleloosa, writing stories about love interests. But she really loves to meet new beings like gryphons or forigeners of Equestria. (And now that she's an alicorn, she's slowly starting to enjoy her travels to and from kingdoms as a diplomate.)

Sadly though as much as she enjoyed her hobbies, the break up still left her feeling lonely and well...low on self esteem. Despite her rainbow highlights, her birth defect of her gryphon like tail (she was born with it for some odd reason) and her abnormally large ears, made her self esteem very low. She used to be picked on in her early filly years for those attributes often, as well as not getting her cutiemark till her teen filly years.

How she got her cutiemark:

During her teen filly years of school, still being a blank flank, she was starting to think she'd never get her mark. But one one day of her school year, so many things happened to her. She wanted to compete in an art tournement for her class's top art class, while still hanging out with little friends she had to go practice flying, but she also wanted to be with her mother and help her to pick fresh apples for an apple pie, to wanting to meet a gryphon exchange student who had arrived that same day, she had never met a gryphon and felt it was a huge opprotunity. But the biggest point to that day...after she managed to meet all those activites she enjoyed in her life, and went to meet the exchange student gryphon...she found out that other fillies and colts were picking on him for not being a pony at their school. A rogue young stallion pegasus wanted to challenge the gryphon to a fight but the gryphon was a shy geeky fello and backed off, feeling lonely and exiled. Blissy came to the gryphon's defense, saying "You pick on him for just being who is, just like you all do to me! But I realize now that me and this gryphon are just the same...We both have feelings, voices and minds...we both have souls and hearts and...we both feel pain...Tell me, how is this gryphon any different from you or me?" The bully stallion backed off, feeling bad for what he said and almost did and apologized and left her and the gryphon alone. Blissy then realized she had a love for many things, and wanted to do as much as she could, but not only that, she loved it when ponies and other sentient beings came together in peace and unity...and in that moment her cutie mark appeared. A rainbow heart with a black lightning bolt going down the middle.

The Love Interest:

She had lived alone with her mother and step father for awhile now, and still she was shaken up from the break up and decided it was time to do something about it, she just didn't know how. Well her mother knew that she wanted to find love again, and so saved up the money to buy her a ticket and a room for the Grand Galloping Gala, a one time night to give her the chance to find a special stallion. She went to the gala, but was confronted with the rich and famed, and sadly...she was ridiculed for living in Appleloosa, not having as much money, being called a "ruffian" with large ears and a freaky tail. So she went to a balcony to cry, when she saw these beauitful lights in the sky, made my a giant flying figure, a dragon... It was love at first sight for the both of them. (Yes I know thats a cliche, but thats how me and my husband met. We online dated for awhile, but when we met physically for the first time it truely was love at first sight, we got married back Dec 2013).

Her Cape:

She wears a cape and hood to not only hide her large ears mainly, but her alicorn horn. She was shocked that she ascended in the first place and isn't ready to be viewed as an "alicorn" for fear of being ridiculed even more. And the fact she barely knows any magic, and her magic reacts out of instinct rather then control, she's not comfortable with who she is and the large amount of responsibility is now weighted on her shoulders. So while she lives in Ponyville with her dragon husband up near the mountains, she ventures in public wearing her hood and cape to hide her alicorn features.

I realize now at the beginning this was a joke about her eating tones of ice cream and have having a mental disorder of being anorexic, but... COME ON, why would Hasbro encourage such behavior in a character in a CHILDREN'S SHOW.

Think this is being looked too far into.

Like any cartoon, our lives or the lives in our reality tend to be over exaggerated. Ladies? What do we do when we feel horribly sad or depressed? We grab a gallon of ice cream, or some whipping cream, or big chunks of chocolate and eat away. Some have been known to finish a whole tub of ice cream in an hour LOL. But in the MLP episode today, it was more of an exaggeration comedy of that idea lol. To which I couldn't help but laugh at cause thats exactly what I DO when i'm having a bad day, I find something sweet and go out on a bender lol
