Lightning Bliss

Bliss nodded to Clover and try to shrug off the emotions, besides she could see just moments later that Hurricane was smiling down on them, so that at least gave her a hint that 'they were ok'. The group trudged on to the top, the path seeming to grow less and less of a path as they headed upward...not to mention getting colder as well...

As an hour ticked by, she couldn't see the path at all anymore...it had decayed into nothing but rock, snow and ice...and the winds and snow fall was even worse. Her legs quivered as she followed the others upward to the point once again she was trailing behind the others. Just struggling to stay warm and keep up...but she was now ten feet behind everypony...

"Ah...." She groaned as she shivered, but bit her lip and tried to go faster...But the abrupt attempt made her slip on a rock, forcing her to fall on her belly. A savage sneeze eluded her nose...but she struggled back to her hooves...By the time she was upright, she could just faintly see Clover and Everlast ahead...slowly disappearing into the snow. "Come on Bliss...it's...just a little blizzard..." she took a step after them... "just sss-snow...just snow...*SNEEZES* just...snow..." She stood her ground, not even realizing that she completely lost sight of the group...Too cold and shivering as she desperatly tried to warp herself up in her cloak.

Bliss blinked in slight shock at Star's claims, then looked at Eloquence, then back to him again.

"I'm...sorry to hear that...maybe um..." She didn't like making drastic changes in her plans, especially without telling her husband of the fact either, but still... "Maybe if you like, you can spend it with my family. We always have loads of food on the table and presents. It's never a dull moment there. I'm sure they'd love to have you! Not often we get a unicorn hanging with us on special occassions."

"I AM NOT LIGHTNING BLISS!!!" Bellowed Blight as she charged in the blink of an eye, too fast for any normal pony to see, as she slammed her bat wing into Boom's neck, crashing them into the wall, outside of the castle, where she then flipped up into the air, and slammed her back legs into Boom's stomach, sending her...once more, crashing back into the castle, next to Atlas.

"Lightning Bliss...*spits* cursed being that imprisoned my true self...She's nothing like me in the least...you pathetic excuse for a vampire!" She flew through the hole Blight's body made, and light touched the ground, grinning at her handy work on the smaller female vampire. "It's true... She did have spite against you...but that was actually wearing down." Blight bragged to Boom, tweaking at the false Princess's confidence, "In fact she began to belive she deserved to die after the way she treated you...and viewed our kind. In those small moments between life and death, she missed her husband dearly....but yet was willing to give her life so you and our people could have ours back....Yet here you stand...mocking my former counterpart...Oh," she giggled a bit and took a step forward. "I mean laying there...mocking her good name." She spat again and stomped the ground, making it crack underneath her as another lighting bolt struck the castle. "Good name...her name will be marked from all texts by the time I'm through with Equestria! The only thing that stands in my way now are you...and your precious little servent there," she smirked to Atlas.

Suddenly her large ears perked up as she heard the familiar howl of her maker...Turning with a sarcastic grin...she spotted Lust, just climbing up the edge, seeming to be back in control of his body.

"Oh nice timing there Master...." She grinned and walked up to him, "as you can see...I'm in full control of the situation...Lightning Bliss..." she turned to Boom and Atlas sinisterly, "IS DEAD! THERE IS ONLY LIGHTNING BLIGHT NOW! QUEEN OF ALL VAMPIRES!!!" She suddenly grabbed Lust by the scuff of his neck with her long vamperic fangs, and violently tossed him at Boom and Atlas with realitive ease. She grinned at the sight of her former master, being so easy to throw to the side, and approached the three vampires. "Fool...You think I'd go back to following your ways Lust? You think I wanted to stay your pretty little alicorn vampire mistress? So you could rule our kind?" She gave out a hearty laugh that echoed throughout the land, "I only used you Lust...Seth...whoever I'm talking to...I merely toasted your ego...and faked my loyalty...so that the prophecy could be forfilled....You helped me to rid myself of my counter part Lightning Bliss! And now you are of no further use to me..." She stood tall and proud, already basking in her victory. "I will not stop...till Equestria is gushing with blood...till there is NOTHING LEFT IN THIS WORLD!!! Only then...will I have any satisfaction in this new life! May you all be the first victiems of a new era in vampires...Where I will lead our people to feed as much as we wish...There will be no stallion, mare or foal...who does not fear our kind...And will not be safe from my fangs...MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!"

The psychotic vampire fluttered up in the air, raising her blood hooves to the sky as more lightning bolts struck down.

Bliss blinked in confusion which quickly turned to guilt as she watched Hurricane fly up ahead of the others. A burst of wind flew up Bliss's cloak, making her stop for a moment to cover up and shiver with annoyance...She was getting tired...and the day was growing darker.

"Did...*shivers* did I say something wrong Clover?" Bliss asked the gray alicorn next to her, "I did'nt mean to be offending..."

"I wish my father would be here on Hearth's Warming Eve...he died when was younger, when I was still a pegasus..." She pawed the ground she laid on for a moment, then abruptly changed the subject back. "I have my pets, and my husband Nights Hoopla. In theory we would start our own Hearth's Warming Eve traditions but...since we don't have children of our own...Most likely he and I will travel down to Appleloosa to spend with my mother and stepfather, Gentle Feather and Shy Hammer. More likely my sisters and brothers will come down for the holiday as well. Least I hope it will!"

She spotted a lovely looking lily flower, and happily levitated off its stem and swallowed it whole.

"Why do you ask DarkStar?" She added in with Eloquence, "you have plans?"

"Gah!" Bliss whinnied as a small icy rock came loose under her hoof, making her slip some. It startled her enough to kick off the ground and flutter up to land and sandwich Hurricane between Clover and herself. "Ahem, sorry, slipped erm..." She blushed feeling she got too overly excited from the scare.

"But Clover is right," she chimed in, "there's nothing regal about me at all. I was a pegasus pony in Clousdale, raised in Appleloosa. Far as I knew I was a regular, dirt back, run of the herd pony who loved animals, to draw, and pick apples with my family in the orchird...That is before I got lonely and wanted to seek out my true love. Who'd of thought following that need...that goal...that dream...would lead me to this...long pointy thing on my dang head!" She tapped her horn, giving off an annoying impression. "Let's just say, as its well known by now, magic didn't come naturally to me and it still doesn't! Nor do becoming a royal either...Clover may have had it easy with Princess Celestia, but not me. She expected me to move out of the cave me and my Hoopla were living in above Ponyville and stay with her and Luna in Canterlot, where I'd have better protection, proper magic training, and be able to 'forfill' my diplomatic duties as Equestria's Princess of Peace."

She shrugged and snorted. A unintended line of snot flew out of her left nostril, turning to ice near instantly and disappeared onto the ground.

"I wanted nothing of it, I wanted to live my life as a normal pony in society. I just got married! I wasn't ready for any of this!" She flapped her wings, getting enraged the more she thought about it. "But Princess Luna managed to calm us both down and come to middle grounds. So Princess Celestia showed me a spell, which granted the ability for all leaders in Equestria to be able to send scrolls through my horn, so they can contact me on any treaties or diplomas for peace, while I can still remain at home. Only travel when needed. And my Nights Hoopla, my sweet husband..." she sighed as she went on, "He was made my personal private royal guard. He's both my lover and body guard. Quite honestly the best one any royal could have I suppose. Can't exactly challenge a draconequus easily and win." She grinned a bit, "But still...Celestia expects me to show up for some royal events here and there...I never do like it...It's a life style I fight every day."

Bliss giggled as the bird perched itself on its owners hoof as she turned to DarkStar and spread a gentle smile.

"It's alright to talk about the past if it still hurts you DarkStar," she added in after Eloquence finished, "my mother always told me that talking about what makes you sad, helps to get it all out. That way, more happier thoughts can move in to fill up that space. So by all means, get it all out. I hope once you do, you'll start to feel better."

Feeling the need to be just as eased as Eloquence, Bliss rolled to her side, then scratched her back against the grass like pigs would do in the mud. Yawning quite boastfully, she flipped to her other side and shook her mane, now it sticking here and there with blades of grass tangled in her rainbow highlights.

"Maybe one day though you may find that perfect pet?" She added in hopefully, "that perfect pet that can keep up with your lifestyle and emotions."

Bliss followed the two into this secret little wild garden and took in its sweet aroma. This indeed was a relaxing place and she was going to lay and soak in every inch of it. She laid down a few feet from the other two on a fluffier patch of grass sniffing a rose next to her while she listened to the other two talk. Upon conclusion of Eloquence explaining how she came to know of this place, and her so called pet, she couldn't help but giggle.

"I see...so this is where you found your little bird friend?" She smiled to the beauitful humming bird as he looked to be trying to find an old nest of his. "I don't have a unique story about my pets, other then I lost three of them some time ago due to age. But my other three, well I adopted them from a local animal shelter, or home I should say...The pony was Fluttershy. She rescued two of my pets from a ravenous fat serpent when they were too sick to flee. She just SWOOPED IN and snatched them up! Quite the hero she was."

She fiddled with the ground a little.

"My pets are actually rats. My cute little pocket animals." She smiled.

** EVIL LAUGH **

The meniacal laugh rose from the sacrifical table behind the two vampires, surrounding the entire castle, all the way down to its base where even Seth could hear...It vibrated the entire fortress, making it shake just a bit enough to make a few frangements fall off.

"FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!" Shreeched a violent demonic female voice....The sound darken the sky...the red moon suddenly blocked by undetermined evil black clouds...as light began to strike down on the castle. "You have forgotten the rest of the propehcy!"

The transformation now completed...Blight rose from the table and hovered upward higher then Boom or Atlas...A menacing light gray, tall alicorn that rivaled the heigh of Princess Celestia...Her fangs like daggers pointed out of her mouth at the ready...Her eyes red with blood...and her enlogated bat wings spread outward like a dragon's pair...Her red hilighted mane and tail, glittered with every lightning strike...She was both menacing and beautiful at once.

"Have you forgotten the legend? That when the life of an innocent little alicorn...like Lightning Bliss...is taken...That the vampire responsible would bring forth the LORD OF ALL VAMPIRES!!!" Her shriek echoed, sending a blast of wind at Boom and Atlas, throwing them off slightly. "And as lord of vampires...I shall remove this false ruler who so dare claims herself as Princess of our kind...and take the rightful place as QUEEN of Vampires!" Her laugh started up again as she hovered in front of them, before coming closer to boom, and menacing grabbing her face, holding it firmly with one hoof, while stroke her cheek with the other.

"Quite honestly..." Blight spoke menacingly and seductively to the smaller flying vampire pony, "I should be thanking you...If you haven't killed my better half...I would have never been freed...Quite sad really isn't it?" She put on a fake whimper before continuing, "There I was encaged in that flithy innocent mind of a Princess while you roamed free in this world...The sad part is, is that propehcy demands blood...That the only way for me to thank you...is to kill you...quite sad isn't it? We could have been sisters but..." She suddenly with great tremendous force, slammed Boom's face into the floor with her hoof, standing dominantly ontop of her head's pray, "I'm afraid that's not in the story little vampire princess..."

Her predator eyes then darted to Atlas...and she grinned with lust...then in a sickening, guilty means of attacking the male vampire...her voice changed to what sounded like Lightning Bliss.

"Why Atlas...why did you do this to your Princess Lightning Bliss? You see what you have made her into? Can you feel the guilt of what you done to her, coursing in your belly? What have you allowed to happen? Must be awful for you...." She grinned before reverting her voice back to normal, "Now see what your actions have caused...See your pathetic vampire princess die!"

She let go of Boom, and reared up readying for a fight...

As the others walked passed her, seeming confident as they treked the mountain trail slope...the wind seemed to push and nip at her flanks to proceed as well...but it only sent a shiver down her spine. Her lioness tail tucked under her flanks with a sense of dread and cold as she looked up from her friends, all the way up a mountain trail that never seemed to end. A thought corssed her mind that maybe she could simply fly over the beastly mountain tops...but form the look of the snow storm going above them...she knew her wings would be shreaded or frozen solid by ice...

She gulped down her fear and slowly and shivering all the way...followed the others, taking up the rear.

"Well...here goes nothing..." she murmured to herself as she trotted up behind the others. The howling wind of the mountain tops following them all upward.

"Wait...please wait!" Bliss turned and fluttered over to Dark, blocking his way, spreading her wings out to block further for insurence. "I don't want this night to end like this...It's not exactly been a...best night ever for anypony here I think..." She sighed and folded her wings down.

"If you want to leave I won't stop you, I just wish...there was a better way for us to depart...then like this..." She pointed to Dark then to herself and Eloquence. "Feelings of regret and dispair...remorse and...misunderstood." Her large ears gave way and flopped next to her cheeks, "Is there nothing we can do to make up for this evening before we go back to our normal lives?"

"I don't think we have long wait for trouble Mr.Everlast..." Bliss suddenly stopped next to the others and pointed at what was not more then awhile away in their path. A series of large snowy mountains. Their tops were so high up in the atmosphere that they couldn't be told how high they went due to what seemed to be a constant blizzard going on above them.

"We...really have to climb that?" She gulped and turned to Everlast and the others. "Did Star Swirl the Bearded really take this exact same trek?"

Bliss's eyes dazzled at the amazing use of Blaze's magic to warm himself and gladly got up and leapt into the circle next to him gratefully.

"Only if you don't mind me sticking to you like glue! Buurrr it's cold!" She squeeed and cushioned up to the male alicorn's side, not so much for affection but for more warmth. "Sorry if I seem clingy, I just don't want to risk getting sick again. I mean this cloak is helping...it's just...well..." She looked at her legs that were openly exposed to the cold, "It seems I should have bought some booties too...gah I hate booties..." She levitated her hood up and firmly planted it over her thick big ears and continued trotting with Blaze through the snow.

(OOC Ok, I guess we can take this to the mountains now? Sorry if I push it ahead now since I'm tired of waiting for replies of one person...)

The group finally were beyond the city limits and into open country, heading north towards the mountains. As the miles and hours ticked behind them, the tempatures slowly began to drop...and the winds started to pick up. The cold sent a shiver from the tip of Blissy's nose all the way down to the tip of her tail. She pulled her cloak up and wrapped it around her arms as she continued to flutter next to Hurricane. She could feel her nose was starting to drip a bit, and turning a light annoying pink.

"Guess...we're on the right path...A...ah....ACHOO!" She sneezed so violently it thrusted her downward, making her crash land on her rump next to Everlast. "Ouch...*sniff sniff* yup...defiently on the right path..."

My time has come...it is time to rise once more... Blight's grin embellished into the dead body of the white alicorn...

While the others were distracted with the alteration of a new castle...and a ugly battle ensued between the wolf and the vampire Atlas...with the new Vampire Princess looking on in front of the once innocent living being of Lightning Bliss...her body began to convulse.

Bones began to stretch, crack and tether...as the body began to grow...The hint of her once beautiful gleaming white coat...turned dim horrorific gray...Her rainbow mane and tail, now began to glow in different hues of red...and her began to grow long and pointed. Sharp as a dagger....Sharp as a vampire's fang...

The fools would not know what is happening till it was too late...Blight was coming...the real battle would begin soon...

(OOC yes none of you realize that Blight is transforming and coming to the scenes, keep it that way lol, I'll emerge soon enough!)

The body of a lifeless white mare laid, drapping over the sacrificial table....The glow of the room seemed to be glowing intenstly however as the new found Princess Vampire finally emerged out of the source of the alicorn's life force...But as the red glow of the room barred down, sporting the new vampire leader...the bright red moon seemed to focus its gaze on the alicorn.

Dead...that's all she was...death...

But not for long....Blight grinned in the undead body... Soon...I will emerge to finish this prophecy....

Bliss waved to the others to acknowledge she heard them before turning her attention back to Hurricane. There was a strong updraft for a moment that threw her off some balance. But with a clip flap of her right wing she was able to righten herself with ease.

"Well..." Bliss answered rather, hesitently. "It's...kinda a long story but to answer it simply, yes...It was a couple of times...and sadly both were...not so good memories."

Her mind drifted into those first two times she'd been to the north. The first time, was much like the second. After she had finished a long diplomatic meeting, and was given a ride by a golden dragon to a vacation spot, curtiousy from the dragons for her taking such a long time to travel to their lands. The spot was in the north, a cabin in the woods for tourists. But what would happen there next was full of horror, blood and...doubt. But she quickly shook of the memory of the horror factor and instead switched to the more ailment of her trip.

"I got sick up there...badly sick...think it was hyperthermia...and well...the second time I went up there I caught a really, really sick with some kind of flu..." she lied slightly on the second part knowing it was an actual curse of sickness brought on by the circumstances of the horror factor. "I guess...the cold doesn't really agree with me at all. I do hope we camp more often and get fires going in the night."

As a pony artist myself, when I first started out drawing ponies, my OC started out like this:

Now I can honestly say all my faults here:

- Head and eyes way too big

- Legs not long or fat enough, need to be more bell shaped

- Body too small to support head

She would later develop to this in a few weeks time after tedious practice:

My point is... I didn't get to where i am over night, it took practice and repetition over and over and over again, along with looking at other artist and taking advice from the MLP art stylists themselves. If you like, here's one of my vids on how I draw ponies:

Leaving Manehattan. I'm not sure where you exactly left, but I'll recap a few pages. 

 

A hostage crisis in an abandoned theatre was ended when the two alicorn Princess' Clover and Lightning Bliss put their heads together and attempted to free Blaze from his inner demon, but would have failed were it not for the friendship between the pegasus Hurricane and the troubled Blaze himself. After recuperating from the tense standoff, the team grabbed a meal and some cold weather clothing to prepare for the next leg of the journey. Once they all assembled again, they began marching north... 

 

What terrors and treasures await the adventurers, is yet to be seen

What he said lol, and we've actually talked about what terrors and treasures we'd be facing. A reminder: Most of us agreed that when we got high in the mountains that a little baby hippogryph (we'd stummble upon while seeking shelter I guess) would attatch itself to Bliss, in a funny way. Then later on we'd be attacked by adult hippogryphos. They would target all the 'mares' of the group specifically because they want 'partners' being their courtship season or something. They are young gangster like gryphons without morality.

Just to remove any attempts at 'godmodding' or stopping the hippogrphs from carrying out their evil plans...they will be immune to all kinds of magical onfire. That means no matter what magic you may use on them, they will be immune. You can use your magic on the enviorment but not on them, it will just bounce off.

"Well it seems you are getting more excitment now then expected eh?" Bliss chimed in, slowing down her pace to meet up with the others. "I've been on my fair share of adventures myself, but I never helped a northern pony town like you did...It makes me wonder now...what will come upon us during our travels...Heh this would probably a make a good book. Maybe even rival up to the legends of Starswirl the Beared himself."

She kinda giggled at the notion, joking to herself. There was no way their quest could have been as epic as the great Bearded and his travels!

Bliss then eyed Hurrican above their heads, she looking pretty happy with flying above them. The idea of being free in the air after being on her feet so long, enticed her to join the black mare and then in turn leapt up to join her. The air was crips and clearer as they left the city of Manehattan behind them...heading towards the mountains...

She smiled to him and eagerly replied:

"I'm just glad we're finally getting the chance to do so. Why don't I start with myself? Since...well technically I brought up the topic." She cleared her throat, while dodging a can that been left on the sidewalk and levitated it up, placing it in the trash bin. "Well I was a pegasus orginally, born in Cloudsdale. I have five other siblings...though my elder sister I don't...see much anymore...But I won't touch that subject. I my second elder sister, she has four foals of her own! I believe she's still living in Cloudsdale though with her unicorn husband. Ya...how they made that work? He conjured a spell to walk on clouds on a permeanet bases. You can imagine the stares they get when nearly two of their foals are unicorns! They are so cute!"

She was really getting into sharing her family personal information and went on.

"My stallion brother, Jon Pryzim, he moved to Baltimare to be with his stallion lover, pretty sure he's a former Royal guard. Very nice to him but sadly I don't see him very often. There's my other stallion brother who's with his marefriend back in Cloudsdale. They had a foal of their own too it seems. Ahem...but I'm rammbling. I moved to Appleloosa with my mother and stepfather...after my father passed away... It was just me and my youngst sister Rosie Lips. My step father is a Mustang from Mustangia who wanted the taste of western life in Appleloosa. He showed me a great deal of the joys of running I can tell you that!" She grinned.

Bliss grinned at Hurricane's comment and snickered as they all got on their way, heading out of the city since they were close to the banner. She trotted at a happy pace, next to Blaze, rubbing her shoulder against his briefly.

"It's just great to have you back you know," she spoke to him happily. "I admit...it feels like...well since you were...well, under that Entity's control, I never got a chance to really get to know you. I hope...we're not on bad terms?"

(OOC, NO I am NOT leaving this RP as long as its still going, so what I say now is just for the atmosphere and Bliss's own reactions, feel free to follow or stop her.)

Bliss's eyes watched the solider with interest as he spoke of Prince Shining Armor and handing the note to DarkStar. She was just as curious to read what the Prince had to say to her newest addition of a friend..but knew better then to question his own business. But then when she heard him say "We must find Chase," her eyes went wide with shock...then quickly turned into a firm frown.

"No way, no how sir," she stomped her hoof firmly and turned away. "I am tired...I'm fed up with this night...I've watched ponies get hurt and you nearly broke every bone in your body because of a situation that's between me and a formal school bully. I want to go home...not go on some adventure to find some rogue stallion who has it out for me!"

She started towards where the guard came from, every word she meant lingered in her mind.

All she wanted to do was to get home, and see her beloeved Nights Hoopla...take a warm silky bubble bath and curl up in bed. She did stop however for a moment to turn to Eloquence.

"If you have anything to say on this Eloquence, it should be to just come with me. Luna had an escort carry me home, I'm sure you could come with me. The pegasus guards can fly you home in hop, skip and a jump."

"Alright then!" Bliss smiled and levitated her food up, "I'll head down the ways and get my new cloak then. I'll be back in a jiffy!" She then proceeded to gallop down the cement paved road, dodging taxi wagons as she went while holding her food up in the air high while eating it on the go.

Normally she wouldn't do this but she was so hungry and so eagered to get out of the city finally, that she didn't care. But she could defiently hear her mother's voice chiming in the back of her head: 'Chew you're food you're an animal!'. She could only giggle at the notion and press on.

She skidded to a stop at what looked to be described as the coat store the food cart pony described, and haistly went in. She stated her business quickly after swallowing the last of her food and was handed a brown tethered cloak. It was old defiently and had a few holes in it, but it was heavy and soft, perfect for winter climates. She thanked the clerks, then rapidly flew back to the others. The cape was a heavy brown color, with a thick hood. Luckily for her, it was more then big enough to cover her big long ears.

"How do I look?" She asked everypony.
