If season 4 keeps up the quality we are used to ,and from what I have seen and heard so far there is no reason to think it won't , and the merchandise sells well I think we will surely see another season. As for season 6 we will just have to wait and see. I don't think they will be running out of ideas anytime soon though. There are many possibilities in the show right now and I think season 4 will make even more. The fans are full if ideas too! I would like the show to reach at least season 10 though even if it's unlikely to happen. 

I think that would work well as a continuation of G4. It would be cool to see what becomes of the CMC later in their lives.  I would add some more characters though because after we had the mane 6 focusing on just 3 characters wouldn't feel right but I wouldn't be surprised if that was just me.

I personally don't think that Discord is Star Swirl the Bearded but it would be a cool twist if done well. But I would rather think of Discord as a being that has always existed ,kinda like the some creatures in the Cthulhu mythos. I feel like it would just cheapen both of their characters to me if they turned out to be the same.

I think he has been talked about so much that he will surely appear in some form. It would be really interesting to see that happen. Especially since we don't know that much about him. I also hope that he won't appear in a flashback because it would be cool to see him interact with the mane 6 (especially Twilight) Princess Celestia and Luna.

I am hoping it will go up to at least season 10 but to be honest I have my doubts . Still, I think G4 will always be remembered as a turning point for this franchise and if G5 keeps the spirit and the positives of it the fandom will stay. And it would be hard to forget G4 for us !

I think ,as many have said it before me, what it all comes down to is this: Hasbro wants to sell merchandise. Bronies were an unexpected factor which they couldn't foresee but once they realized that the show's following didn't only consist of it's original target audience they would have been foolish not to take advantage of it. They are not trying to piss us off but they will always keep their original purpose in mind. It's still in their best interest to try to keep us happy. I think as long as we keep buying products related to the franchise they will always try to make quality content. As long as they keep the things we like about the show we will keep watching and most of us will buy their merchandise.

Thank you for brightening up my day darklord260  ! This is the funniest reaction to anything I have read in a while. I just showed this video to my sister who hasn't seen a single episode of the show yet but is interested in it. She thought it was really funny.

I think this is actually pretty funny but I wouldn't really like non-bronies to see it since it reinforces an unfair stereotype. It's hard enough for some of us to get accepted by their environment as it is.

I would be surprised if there wasn't another movie. It's an easy way for Hasbro to release new toys and I think I can safely say that most fans would like to see one and the creators could make and explore things that they wouldn't be able to in the show. Not making more movies would just be a wasted opportunity in my opinion.

I am a really big fan of Doctor Who so it's always great to see Doctor Whooves/Time Turner for me . During my rewatch of the series I kept looking for him in the background everywhere. I would really enjoy if they did a Doctor Who style episode with him and Derpy (and/or even Twilight Sparkle). It would be really fun to see my two favorite TV shows rolled into one. Just imagining the possibilities makes me excited! Maybe in Season 4... (Which debutes on the same day as the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special if I'm not mistaken!)

Although I have no doubt that selling more merchandise has played a big part in making Twilight an Alicorn I like to think that this was always the intention of the writers. I am not fully satisfied with how it was done in the show, but it still opens up interesting possibilities for future stories and character development.
