  1. :huh:  Lack of AJ is uncool. Oh wait, I get it... "International Women's Day? Y'all can have yer fancy tea parties and play dress up, I'll be busy in the orchard doing the hard work that'll actually make a statement. Oh, and Rainbow, that color looks real good on ya! *walks out door laughing*"  >_>

    On a more serious note, Trixie is my doodle so I didn't see it until I just went and checked it out. I can understand ponies not being in it, I can't put into words why I feel that way but it's there. Honestly having Dora and Chamki in it was kind strange I felt since they were the only non-humans, and they were not shown until close to the end. If they had more cartoon characters spread throughout the video it would have been less weird, and then maybe the ponies would have made it.

    No. I didin't include AJ in the row of Pony faces because there is no face of her smiling.

    Cool story babe, now hush up,and fetch me a beer.

    Try looking in the mirror and saying that to yourself. Do you even really drink the stuff?

  2. The Google Doodle for Women's Day should be invisible, because it is too busy in the kitchen.

    *ducks, runs*

    Coming from a Brony, that's a rather crude joke (like something you'd hear on The Daily Show; which I don't like to watch).

    Do you think it would be like that in places that are "off the grid" (places different from the traditional American Suburbia)?

  3. Have you seen the latest “Google Doodle” for International Women’s Day? It's very bright and inspiring, but why not the Mane 6? It had Dora The Explorer, and Chamki from India's version of Sesame Street (Sesame Workshop produces international versions of Sesame Street all around the world); so why not the Mane 6?

    Feel free to discuss your thoughts.

    Happy International Women’s Day everybody and every-pony! ^_^:lol::D;)B)

  4. (Attention all kids under 13, parental discretion is advised for this post).

    Well first of all, it’s not necessarily the words themselves that are bad; it’s more so how they are used. Take the word ‘sucks’ for example: It’s perfectly ok to use it like “The vacuum cleaner sucks up the dust”, but it’s a different story when it’s used like “This s*cks.” ‘Gay’ is another example: Aside from today’s use as to say ‘homosexual’ (and I actually don’t like how this inspired people to say “Gay” as if to say something is ridiculous, messed up or no good as I don’t think there is anything wrong with homosexuality), it for a much longer time has meant Happy and/or Jolly (in fact, the phrase “Happy and Gay” used on children’s television, and I do not find “Happy and Gay” iffy at all). Even ‘dick’ is another example: You might have hard the names “Dick Cheney” and “Dick Grayson” or even “Dick Van Dyke”; and that’s not bad at all.

    So the question now becomes: why don’t people like to hear those words used in such ways? Well, there can be a verity of reasons; some legitimate, some ridiculous; some shared among multiple people, some only held by one person. It all depends on who hears the word being used a way that’s sensitive to him/her, the meaning of the word, and sometimes who’s using it.

    To me, I generally don’t like to talk the way I have heard people talk on “South Park”, “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”, “Adventure Time”, other such places on television, or various icky places online (places where there’s much hate, sadism, disgruntle, and/or negativity; and too little of the opposite); and I find it a little disheartening when people (particularly those I had gone to school with back in the early to mid 2000’s) would take inspiration from that sort of rather negative and/or sadistic media to define and develop how they would socialize. Why it happens, I don’t know (and it’s very likely to vary from person to person); although poor nutrition, lack of sleep, stress, etc. might be a contributing factor.

    I also don’t like it when people say something is “Gay” or “F---ed Up” as if to say ridiculous or no good, as I find it discriminatory to do that. I already explained “Gay” earlier. Now as far as I’m concerned, since the nasty F word is really slang to refer to having sex, what I so far think (and it wasn’t easy figuring this out) inspired the sense behind saying something is “F---ed Up” to say that it is messed up or no good is a discriminatory conception that people who have been raped or “penetrated” are no longer of any worth or are no good (I’m not certain if this is correct or not, or if it even comes close; but it does make sense). Of course, as I’m certain you’ll all agree, people who have been raped or are not unworthy of this world, they are just as wonderful and capable as they were born to be and need our help and support in their time of need and deserve a lot of respect.

    In closing, while it is very important that we preserve and protect our right to Freedom of Speech and Expression and try our best to except the way certain people choose to talk, it’s also important that we become more respectful of our sensitivities to foul and/or disheartening language and at the same time encourage ourselves and our you leaders of tomorrow to turn to more positive and happy sources of media for inspiration on how to socialize.

  5. Is anybody about to get married? Do you know someone else who’s getting married? Are you otherwise involved in planning a wedding? :wub:

    What would you think about making it an MLP themed wedding? :D

    I’m certain Equestria Daily, Everfree Radio and other sources for everything Pony and Brony would love covering such a wedding. :)

    Here’s a page that has suggestions for an MLP themed wedding: http://nerdweddings.wordpress.com/2012/08/15/fandom-inspiration-brony-weddings-are-magic/

  6. Sure it does, some guy came up with it on 4chan or whatever, if the internet wasn't around 4chan wouldn't exist, and thus the name would probably not exist.

    Maybe; then again maybe not. The name could have been spread via other ways. I didn't find out about it by going on 4chan (I don't even go there, period). Perhaps you should look at my earlier posting on this topic.

  7. While I don't like "Adventure Time" (or today's Cartoon Network; which as I've stated across my postings I see as an 'adult swim made for children') and keep myself away from it (and have seen that many bronies have the same thoughts), I actually find the original 'Random Cartoons' short interesting and much more enjoyable (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm4BVX8eguw).

    While the CN series is ridden with "gateway language" (so-called that on "Common Sense Media") and other mature elements that are obviously designed to entrance Gen Y (much similar to 'The 90's are All That') and make the show look like something that came out of Adult Swim or G4 (and poorly toned down for children), the short made for Random Cartoons is virtually free of all that. The design and animation on the Random Cartoons short is also much more fitting than the CN series.

    It does make me wonder if the series would have been more like the original short (and not ridden with "gateway language") had it been picked up by Nickelodeon when they were given the chance.

    Feel free to share your thoughts.

  8. As far as I'm concerned, life actually wouldn't be much different. Before dial up online services brought us to the Internet for the first time, they brought us to BBS's (many could even be dialed into directly). After someone dressed as "Max Headroom" broke onto WGN-TV and WTTW in Chicago (

    ), the local hacker community was all over their BBS's talking about it. Not only were they good for chatting, but you could also share files and do lots of other things.

    If the Internet we know today never came to be, it likely would have been made up for with local grassroots Computer Networks run by individuals and backboned with leased fiber links (just as how APRANET was backboned with Leased T1 lines from the Bell System). They could even work together with servers connected between them.

    And yes, Bronies would exist, and so would Occupy Wall Street.

  9. Do you remember Chalkzone (started small on "Oh Yeah! Cartoons" and became a full show on Nickelodeon)?

    Well, what if MLP Ponies were drawn on Chalkboards and erased into Chalkzone?

    I can imagine a Chalk version of Pinkie Pie enjoying the party of her life with the Lollypoppians: http://youtu.be/CvPEDJVjh1M?t=19m46s

    I can also imagine Chalk versions of Vinyl Scratch and Octavia going crazy under the spell of a "Keyboard Chasm"; and a Chalk version of Twilight Sparkle studying off Barney the “encyclocentipedia”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixo4RIQQ-lM

    Imagine a Chalk version of the Mysterious Mare Do Well helping Rudy, Penny an Snap foil Skrawl's latest evil scheme.

    And, if Spike could fall for Rarity, imagine the red dragon who appears in Chalkzone’s Theme Song (from an “Oh Yeah! Cartoons” episode) falling for any Chalk Pony.

    Fell free to share your thoughts on this.

  10. I'm glad to see the Ponies are going places  :D (and I myself have a few ideas of my own on where the Ponies could make a surprise appearance). I didn't think they'd get on this show though; then again, I don't pay attention to anything on today's "Cartoon Network" (especially since it's become what I consider an 'adult swim' made for children).

    First off, Teen Titans did not come back. This is an entirely different series.

    I also never really liked the original "Teen Titans"; and as far as "Teen Titans Go" goes, as if it's humor isn't bad enough, the least they could have done was start from scratch with new characterizations of the teen titans from the original comic strip. Then again, this sort of thing did work nicely on "The Super Hero Squad Show".

  11. I was just playing around on YouTube, when I saw this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDu8ShIXDO4) as a YouTube advertisement (you know, those videos that play as ad’s before the video you want to watch starts, which sometimes gives you the option to skit to the main video after a couple of seconds). :wacko:

    Could it be that ‘creative Bronies’ are taking advantage of this to spread their work on the world? :D

    How would you like to see more Ponies in YouTube advertisements (and perhaps in other places on YouTube as well; such as those little clickable ads that appear toward the bottom of a video while it’s being played)? B)

  12. never said there was anything wrong with it

    So wait a minute; you didn't mean to complain when you said "Where the hell do you people come up with this sh...tuff????"

    To me, that sounded a lot like complaining (and it was a little hurtful; and not to mention un-brony like); and I think most of anybody else would react the same way.

    This isn't some icky internet imageboard where that kind of language is more norm.

    @Sholem Itzhak,

    Well, to be fair, the "randomness" of the song was to sell the whole "mind-blowing" concept. That, and it was just stuck in my head.

    Also, I didn't actually say the word; it just happened to be in said song.

    I didn't say that you said the word.

    By the way:

    @Sholem Itzhak,

    @Sholem Itzhak,
