Anyone else getting the nagging feeling that things are wrapping up for the main six and the CMC? Like this is the last season of Mlp Fim? Cause I am. I really hope not tho.

I disagree because having everyone reduced to the lowest ability of everyone else is a good recipe for stagnation and slowly building resentment of what you once were.

I do not have a vendetta against the episode it had its flaws but was very fun to watch.

That was in the early days, Twilight was much weaker at that time(her magic is much lighter in color). Twilight is the type to train her magic

who fucking cares the point is all charictors have inconstant power levels. and she teleported just fine before that episode.

She never uses Pinkie Sense correctly, she only knows something is going to happen soon, not exactly when, how, or where.

 

And Twilight can teleport incredibly well, see when she comboed RD And Spike in Dragon Quest

yet in feeling pinky keen she could not even teleport a relatively short distance! (because the plot forced her to make a leap of faith)

She can't fight, not at all. Assuming her Pinkie sense was so brilliant, how did she not notice a rock slide?

answered already she did see it but was trapped ie could not move out of the way. you have forced me to bring up mysterious mare to well in the fact she used her pinky sense to dodge a falling building and save several lives (so much for useless) and that was not done simply as a joke.

Pinkie Sense (as well as other Pinkie powers) are unpredictable, and thus useless in a fight. You didn't see her using them in the bashemup with the changelings, did you?

 

Think of it this way: Would you go to war with a sniper rifle that automatically acquired its targets for you and shot them dead once it has done so, but had more of a chance to do nothing, or even had a chance of acquiring one of your allies or even you as its target? No. So, the rifle is useless in a fight.

pinky sence is not unpridable what the episodes they where in again.  or by extention what twilight can cast as spells changed and is not pridctable. hell her ability to teleport isn't even consistant if you want to realy pull that line of reasoning. (I hate my spelling)

at the start of the show I would say most of her friends could have beat her in a fight. fluttershy well if she was running over her to get away perhaps.

Okay then, different direction. The mirror pool clones of Pinkie had all the same abilities, Twilight effortlessly got rid of them

mostly mindless clones that were just sitting around waiting to be zapped by a spell designed to beat them.

my issue is not that twilight would win or not but you disregarding what little is consistent about Pinkie. pinkie would not be an element bearer if she was as useless as you claim she is.

Then Pinkie Pie is an absolute idiot for not stopping herself while she was falling in Wonderbolts Academy and for not just sensing the rock slide in Maud Pie Even if she had these abilities, she can't use them correctly

first her ability to change her "flight path" is limited at best. and on that land slide your talking about she had her hoof stuck or did you forget that. being able to sence things before thay fall is kind of useless if you cant move out of the way. as seen in the show she could alter her path falling from a hight that wasn't that great perhaps no more than she could stand falling normally the point I was tying to make is she dose have the ability to use some of the "random joke powers" in use full ways.

Pinkie Pie can make parties, that's her talent. She's not a fighter And the rock that got smashed was a geode, therefore, really fragile. As for getting smashed into a rock, it could have been another really fragile type of rock like talc

altering her falling path has happened on more than one occasion establishing it as a know pinkie pie power. and that's not even taking about the pinkie sense that's been in at least 2 episodes one of witch centered on it. and would be handy in a fight.

I agree. Pinkie's powers are not consistent. I don't believe she can consciously activate her Pinkie powers, or else all of existence in MLP would quickly end up being one massive, continuous party fueled by her abilities.

Rarity being able to carry a giant boulder also had an effect, yet a boulder of that size would weigh what, 8 tons at least? Yet later on he can't overpower Diamond Dogs?

By your logic pinky pie has no talent at all and should not have a cutie mark. Pinkie pie is the one with the most undefinable power out there. and if you want to carry things to far as well how do we know their rocks are not has hard as earth rocks. in dragon shy they shattered a rock by being blown into it. and one rock shattered by the effects of the sonic boom!(that one can not be ignored as a joke as it was key to rarity getting her cutie mark) .

I am talking about the times when her "just joking" had a real impact on the show or was actively noticed and commented on!

I actively disregard 90% of what pinky do to the joke factor. but you cant disregard things like odd knowledge  her using Twilight as a crimson magic machine gun. or other things that is seen and commented on by the rest of the ponies. I ignored the episode where she keep finding rainbow dash for example.

I'd understand this topic if someone need an answer to write a fan-fic and had a scene like that (for example, because Main 6 minus Twi are now evil and if Twilight wants to save the world she has to fight with her friends or sth like that) - I'd understand and even help. Besides, why Applejack? In my opinion Twilight would beat up any of them, no matter if it's Rainbow, or Flutters or anypony else... Her race and her magic is her adventage, she's the main character of the show. It makes her a winner. Always. At least in the show. This battle is uneven since the beginning. It would be a great discussion if you asked what would happen if somehow Twi was turned into an earth pony and had to battle with Applejack/Pinkie/somepony else. It'd be a great discussion if you asked if the rest of the Main 6 would have a chance to win with Twi, if they all were turned into alicorns. Or if you asked if Twi could become stronger than Celestia. But like that? Why ask the questions, if everyone knows the answer. Twilight has the powers of all the races (not only pegasi and unicorns, something about everyone always seem to forget...). That makes her more powerful, no matter how you look at it. Applejack has strenght, intelligence and stubborness and she definitely can fight, but she is weaker than Twi. And so are Rainbow, Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy. And almost everypony in Equestria. If Twilight REALLY wanted to win, she would win.

Also what Pinkie Pie has done should not be treat as a gag or joke, she has done that which would send most ponies reeling in confusion and uncertainty. He speed, ability to appear anywhere without reason, and her Pinkie Sense that can seemingly allow her to predict the future would give her a huge edge in battle.

as for altering another pony's talents see the wedding episode part 2.  just because some writers don't now what to do with a character you cant dismiss her know abbilites.

Well, say the average pony(ignoring earth pony magic) can lift a hundred pounds on their back(the actual number doesn't matter, just an example.) This can be increased to up to 400 pounds if the pony exercises a lot(like how humans can lift more if they exercise), e.i Bulk Biceps in this example would be able to lift 400 pounds. Earth pony magic then multiplies the amount you can lift by two. So, let's say Twilight, spending most of her time in a library, has a base strength of being able to lift 80 pounds, below average. Her earth pony magic then makes it so she can lift 160, above average. Applejack, working on a farm for all her life, would have a base strength of 150. Add in earth pony magic and it increases to 300.

 

But then this is all headcanon really, so if you can retain the right to feel this is all wrong.
