  1. Zaddion gently shook his head, signifying that his attention wasn't out of hunger. "I..." a shiver went up his spine, some odd images went though his head before fading quickly. Something about a... He didn't remember. "I wanna see the fruit, the colours and the shapes."

His little eyes craved for information, though even he didn't notice why. There was something more to the world that he could see or touch, and his mind subconsciously yearned for the unseen. In childish innocence, the child Mage followed these feelings without guidance or true reason "Can you help me? I want to see them all."

  2. I don't believe it is the next step for Human evolution, mainly because our current self-designed environment prevents us from being isolated from each other, as well as giving those with potentially superior traits no additional chance to reproduce.

Humanity, unless something big happens, is beyond natural evolution for the moment. All we can do now is ride out our intellectual "evolution," until such a time comes.

  3. Cancer is the right word if only the physical aspects of the mutation are used as reference to the growth of the fandom through the internet. It it sometimes the wrong word if the word is used in a derogatory manner. That's all there is to say, in my humble, amazing, almighty opinion.

  4. I supposedly have a rather insensitive sense of touch, I've pretty much had it since birth so never knew until people started commenting on it over the past few years.

So yeah, I went to the doctor's after many people pointed out my above average tolerance to pain and below average awareness of touch. Turns out it's pretty weak, which doesn't necessarily mean my pain tolerance is very high, it just means I feel less of it.

  5. Hrm. I'm starting to wonder whether attempting to kill a happy spirit is the good choice or not.

Zaddion sees this reality as somewhat of a suffering, their wills are sapped and they are nothing more than puppets. "Hopefully," he'll be able to free these people, even if that means using the rest of his strength and falling into the same trap.

Anyhow, back to normal today. I'll be keeping an eye on the RP and should be in a position to reply within a few hours of nearly any post.

  6. Zaddion's strength was fading, some unbearable weight bound his soul, beckoning it into an eternal sleep. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad, there was happiness here, content. All he needed to do was- no, this was a lie, a terrible lie. The woman he had destroyed earlier, she was a puppet of some foul Magick, that was no way to live, to have one's will taken away by some accursed mockery of nature.

A splash of water came over the Mage's face, sending a slight ripple through his senses but nothing more. He had the strength to wake up, but chose not to. These people were suffering, something he couldn't allow.

Light emerged from the Krystal he had prepared. Undoing days of work in mere moments, Zaddion used whatever strength he needed to in order to bring the Magick into himself. This creature could absorb Magick, bit could it absorb faster than he could call upon? That was soon to be tested. "These people... They don't deserve to be part of your twisted games." He was fading into the lie, but had enough strength to keep himself between, at least for now. As the Light emerged from his form and into the false reality, Zaddion personified the Magick through a dagger of bright force.

Two steps, that was all it took for the Archmage to lose his footing, but this creature couldn't win. He crawled towards the closest inhabitant of the alternate Ashcreek, praying to the Ancients that this would work. Magick-weapon in hand, Zaddion positioned himself to end this person's suffering. "These people... Will be free of you!"

  7. A robed foot made impact with the imaginary ground. Tendrils of brilliant colour swirled around as the Mage's subconscious control of Magick lashed out in protest, it without hope of success. As if Zaddion's very own reserves were being erased from his body, the energy faded into non-existence as quickly as it materialized. This place was wrong, very, very wrong.

"This... Can't be real, it can't be!" Desperation and fear grasped the only voice challenging the droning of the darkness. What was this, had he ever researched such Magick before? Or... Lack of Magick, if he were to believe what his senses were telling him. It didn't matter, knowledge was useless if the mind wasn't in the position to call upon it, senses could be tricked.

"Where am I? Where?" This place was far too clear to be a simple dream, but it exhibited all the warping properties of one. He couldn't focus, conciousness was drifting and the senses would not agree.

  8. Though he would never show it while awake, Zaddion's unconscious form could not help but hide the fact that this was hell for him. His flesh woven with Magick channelling Krystal, it was used to a passive flow of energy through it. This was the original purpose of the Mark, to saturate his body with the tides of semi-natural energy in some half-understood attempt to make himself a superior Mage. Thus far the evidence had been inconclusive, if a little in favour of his hypothesis, but it would prove a great disadvantage here.

Though nowhere near as instinctual, the Mage's body had grown all too used to the subtle flow of Light and Shadow through its blood, its muscles, its very being. Having this feeling removed would naturally be uncomfortable given the years he had spent with it. Though the sensation was not enough to keep him from fatigue's embrace, it was most certainly enough to plague his unconscious senses. Greeted by nightmares of varying subjects, Zaddion was sure to have a restless sleep, though without the energy to awaken.

  9. I feel like this post belongs in the Post Your Unpopular Opinions thread but... The XIII series.

I adore pretty much every Final Fantasy game, and I can see where the XIII's have their downfalls (particularly XIII, XIII-2 and LR were much better than the first) but I just felt like I enjoyed those three the most.

  10. Zaddion will take whatever hour is available, but the boi needs his rest.

... Even if I do suspect something will be happening to him, whether he's awake or not. Freakin' Magick-Sensitive Archmages. With his Krystal Mark mostly empty of elemental charge, my worst fear is that the "dark," Magick around this place seeps into the gap.

  11. There was a car that came within what could be no more than a few inches from hitting me, was going pretty fast two. I didn't really dwell on it until now, but yeah, it was a close call (even if I did think it looked pretty cool how I stopped blank as the car went past, like some sort of ninja from le movies.)

  12. "Yes, from what I can gather the fluctuations are telling us we're close by," refusing to show just how worried he was, the Mage attempted to aid the others set up camp in whatever way he could. In truth, this presence unsettled him, it was a wild Magick that had so far appeared untamed, one softly flowing with a power that could only be dark in nature. Oddly enough, any other presence appeared to be dull and almost absent, the air, the ground, any Magick that was hear was either part of that same abyss or smothered by it's passively malicious tendrils.

"We don't need to take as much care as usual. If there's something here, it can likely sense us already." A cold shiver ran through Zaddion's fatigued body, threatening his faltering will with the desire to collapse and fall into sleep. They would need to get a fire going soon, none of them were going to remain in particularly good condition with this foul Magick running through the air and cold grasping at their flesh.
