How and when did you become a brony?

I started last year, when my daughter was in first grade. MLP aired two episodes in the morning, then we started watching it on net flix. I feel in love with the cartoon. I really enjoyed the child friendly stories, that did not talk down to the audiance. I also loved the strong compassionate characters. The songs enhanced the show, instead of being annoying. I bought as many of the 2 inch mini figures as I could, and really enjoyed playing out stories with my daughter. We love the comic books, and really enjoy my little pony together. I hope it continues on for a long time. We are actually going to Everfree NW this summer. I am not sure which one of us is more excited. -

I am an air traffic controller. I started out in the Army, and am currently working for them as a civillian contractor. My name is the phonetic pronunciation of my operating initials, which in most cases is the first and last letter of your last name. M and E are the first and last letters of my last name, hence mike echo. The numbers are my parents birth years scrambled up a bit. I have been using the screen name since 2000. -
Not sure exactly how to upload, hopefully it works. I usually don't post pictures, but here is my tattoo. One more piece of advice, shop around the different studios. Check their portfolios, and take your time. The artist that did mine was booked out for months, so I had to wait quite awhile, but it was worth it. I love it!

I've got Apple Jack, and Apple Bloom giving each other a sisterly nuzzle on my right bicep. I'll have to figure out how to post a picture. The artist that did the work had Buttercup on his neck, so I knew I had the right guy. My advice, pay for quality, and search for a good artist. I have a shark on my left arm, that I got on a whim when I was 18, and you can tell that no research or thought went into it. My Pony tat looks like an animation cell from the show. The guy was fantastic!

That is a fantastic story. I have a few shirts from we love fine, but I usually wear them under something warmer. Maybe I'll take a cue from you, and be a little more open with my love for the show.
