    Regarding Ted Anderson - IDW Comics

    Want to see a rational argument? Maybe you probably didn't read hard enough already. So I'll say it again. The issue is the promotion of a hateful and discriminatory viewpoint through media aimed at doing the exact opposite.

     

    It reflects terribly on the rep of not only Ted and IDW, but the My Little Pony IP and by association, Hasbro itself. It unfortunately calls into question their laissez-faire practices of creative freedom if they do not acknowledge a negative message promoted in one of their properties, and it unfortunately makes everyone over Ted's head guilty by association of hypocrisy for doing nothing about this.

    I actually used to like her for a bit, I dare to say for the same reasons people liked Trixie.

     

    I liked her character design and I liked the story potential she had.

     

    Unfortunately, they've kept up the one-note bully/spoiled, snobby rich girl act going for a bit too long. I think it's high time they started taking this character seriously.

     

    Isn't it just something that two pairs of supporting characters in Crusaders episodes are nothing but one-note stereotypes for the most part? (I'm of course talking about Snips and Snails as the other one.)

    A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.

    Tomboy Squirrel

    Here's another anthro by me. This time, it's a tomboyish squirrel in an urban setting based on a character I had been developing for a while.

    The signs in the background were sourced from Google Images, but everything else was hand-drawn in GIMP, and the character was traced from paper. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with how this one came out. ;)

    I've said this before and I'll say it again, short and concise, to those people who are defending him because it's his opinion.

     

    It's one thing for it to be his opinion. But he used official franchise resources to promote the images of people who align with a hateful and discriminatory agenda. This is against the core values of the franchise and those of Hasbro, and this is why something needs to be done about it.

     

    If they didn't fire him, I agree that they should have at least warned him about it.
