Get better at... Stuff? Like hobbies such as art. Is that valid?
It's valid; you've set a goal to get better at stuff you've taken up as hobbies. I think that's a fine resolution.
-
I tried to find a topic on this already, but I couldn't find any. Don't want to create any duplicate threads, now.
Anyway, what are y'all's new year's resolutions? In short, mine would be to finish up on a few anime series I've fallen very far behind on, and learn Android app development.

No, I don't. MLP is a girls show, true...that doesn't mean I (as a guy) can't enjoy it.

The only language I'm fluent in is my native language of English.
I do know enough German to place out of my university's introductory and intermediate German classes, and I've taken a year's worth of Japanese. Of course, I'm not fluent in either.

Honestly, I don't really care if my statuses get comments or not. For the most part, I only use the status function for announcements and updates related to any of my active projects, not as a place to put my inner musings.

Fell asleep at 6:30 this morning, woke up at 3:05 this afternoon (all times Eastern, of course).
So just over eight and a half hours. Honestly, that's the most sleep I've gotten in some time.

Exams are not yet done
Three hours they should not be
Yet they sadly are
It's almost over
More websites, more anime
So much stuff to do
Month-long break this time
Back to class the 11th
One more week this year
The five-seven-five
Is what a haiku should be
I still don't get why

At this point, I'd say it's staying alive, but the days of exponential growth are over. I'm not seeing a pronounced decrease in fans, although some will "tune out" from MLP-related stuff until the hiatus ends.
In addition, there are also fans of the show who don't participate in the fandom.
-
No, I reserve MLP-speak ("everypony", "horseapples", etc.) for any MLP-related sites I participate in.

Thanks! Wow, this is really nice!

Hi! If you're still taking requests, is it okay if I can ask for a request of my ponysona?
-
Honestly, this is one of my least visited sites. Usually, I'll just pop in for a few minutes, reply to a few topics, and leave. If I'm writing a really long reply or blog post, I could easily spend ten minutes or more on this site at a time. On rare occasions I'll leave the MLP Forums tab open, so I could be "online" for hours and hours when in reality it's a background activity at best.
It wasn't always this way: back when I was roleplaying, I would easily spend two hours or more on this site at a time.

I found this site while making a query with The All-Powerful Google.TM I'm not about to scamper through my (limited) browser history to see what I was searching for.

Deez Nuts. Sorry, I had to.
As much as I dislike it, there isn't any world building in the Equestria Girls series. We don't even know what the name of the city is (it could be "Canterlot", but I've seen high schools that are named after places in other parts of the world,) or what type of government the world has, so I don't think we'll know who rules the EQG world. I don't think Hasbro is in a rush to let us know either.

It's unintentional. The creator may not even know that there are OCs with the same name out there unless (s)he does some digging (would you spend hours digging through deviantART, Derpibooru, and MLP Forums to see if your OC's name matches another?). I created an original character a few months back, gave her a name, personality, the works. I didn't believe my shock when, just last month, I stumbled upon an OC (a ponysona, no less) with the exact same name as my OC.
I just treat them like Wikipedia disambiguation pages: it is a fact that there will be OCs that share the same name, just ensure that they have unique appearances, unique personalities, and unique backstories!

Usually, I fall back on either a Wikipedia article or another website talking about some random historic event or institution. For instance, right now the United States's CIA World Factbook entry is the "escape tab".

Aside from real life obligations, such as college work:
- Catch up on my months-old anime backlog. There are some series I started watching in 2013 and 2014, namely Gurren Lagann and FMA: Brotherhood (don't hurt me) that I haven't finished. I've got time.
- Make more vectors of my OCs!
- Write my first original fanfic. I've got the setting, general plot, and main characters, now I need to write the dang story.
- Finish the websites I started developing.

I've been asthmatic since I was little. A few years back, I was hospitalized for four days due to complications arising from an asthma attack; the cause was that someone nearby was smoking the day before my hospitalization, and I breathed in some of the secondhand smoke from that. Yeah, I despise smoking for personal reasons and health reasons (namely lung cancer - I have lost extended family members who smoked to lung cancer as recently as 2007).
Of course, I don't hate them quite enough to push to get cigarettes banned.
-
This is all my vector says about me:
"skbl17 has a ponysona."
"skbl17 likes to make vectors."
"skbl17 wears glasses."

Well, we know from the show and the chapter books that at least two of the alicorns (ascended Twilight and Princess Cadance) are "made", as both of them were previously other races: Twilight was a unicorn and Cadance was a pegasus. As far as I'm concerned, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia have always been alicorns - no canon material disputes that - so it is possible that alicorns can be "born" and not just "made".
Now, there hasn't been any piece of information in canon material that explicitly says that alicorns cannot be born. Hey, if it's possible to have a pegasus and a unicorn born to earth pony parents through some strange family tree voodoo, anything is possible.

- The current three-box BBC logo was adopted in 1997.
- Atlanta used to be named after a governor's daughter (Marthasville).
- Even though cars in both countries drive on the right, most trains in France and Argentina move on the left.
- While most of the U.S. drives on the right, vehicles in the U.S. Virgin Islands drive on the left.
- There is a city in Washington (Point Roberts) where you must drive through Canada to reach the rest of the state.
Hey, you wanted random facts.

365,216. Or 365.216, depending on whether you're in a country that uses decimal points to denote multiples of 1,000.

Georgia state law requires that winners of lottery games have their names made available to the media. Considering the media, and considering the fact that I live in a major city, the first thing I'd do is NOT claim my winnings in Atlanta, but at a Georgia Lottery field office somewhere in rural Georgia. The last thing I want is for me to claim my winnings, then get mobbed (figuratively and literally) on my way out by the media or thugs. I know I'll get mugged by the IRS and the Georgia Department of Revenue, who will take 34% or so of my winnings.
After claiming my winnings, I'd lay low for a while; get away from the U.S. for a few months, ask the USPS to suspend mail delivery, unlist my phone number(s), and probably get a lawyer no one in my family knows. After all that dies down, I'll likely set up a trust fund for my family, make some investments in U.S. and/or Swiss government bonds, donate 5%-10% or so to charity, set up an emergency fund with maybe 15% of my winnings in case everything goes to hell...then start spending money on random junk like cars.
In what way do you break brony stereotypes?
