    Call me crazy, but why is ((1 / 4) - (1 / 8)) = 0.125, when just (1 / 8 = 0.125)?

    This is driving me slightly crazy. 0.125 * 8 = 1.

     

    1 / 4 = 0.25

     

    So 0.25 - 0.125 should be? Well, two of my calculators say 0.125

    But 0.25 + 0.125 is 0.375

    0.375 - 0.25 = 0.125

     

    0.125 - 0.25 equals ..... -0.125 :umad: Math

      1/4 is twice 1/8.

      1/4 is a bigger number, made of two 1/8ths, so basically 1/4 = 2/8.

      So .25 - .125 would equal the same. It would be like saying 8 - 4 = 4.

      I think what might be tripping you up is that fractions are smaller the bigger the bottom number is.

    Some are saying we should not worry yet about the Net Neutrality issue because of the hurdles they now face. The simple fact that we have a government that is anti-internet freedom and does not care about the voice of the people is enough for me to hate this entire situation from the start. All this is doing is showing that what the common person says or thinks matters none in this country.

      It's so effing dumb and it's having me worried for what bullsh*t is going to come from it.

      But there's already lawsuits being devised, it isn't over just yet.

      I just have to find a way to stop worrying.
