  1. Anyone is welcome to join at any given time. We have a few players that come on just for fun but right now everything is out of whack with us building. That and we're always looking for people interested in building for the server. If anyone is interested you can find the server at mc.miningismagic.com There are alt plugins for this but we need to make sure they work with each other and don't crash so its hard figuring out what works with what. I will be updating this quite frequently with new pics of build progress for all to enjoy because as I said in my first post I consider this art in it's own right and I want others to enjoy this art as well. Prepare for new pics and builds soon . As a matter of fact I should probably start a Tumblr or something for this now that I think about it.
  2. There are fireplaces inside of wood houses and such but the server has firespread off. Unfortunately we don't plan to ever release the map for download because of the amount of time that has gone into making it. It's a 14,000 x 10,000 block map that took about 5 months to create. I wouldn't want anyone to steal and claim the map as their own.
  3. Thanks for the reaction ! We use the MineLP mod which is client side using LiteLoader for build 1.7.2. The server is on 1.7.5 but thankfully any version between 1.7.2 and 1.7.5 works on all servers in that dev build. We are including the other towns as well in their rightful places according to the map. The only thing I have to go off of is the Wal-Mart poster map and screenshots from the show. Only about 40% of Ponyville is done, Canterlot has a general layout set for future builds, The Crystal Tower was centered perfectly and is 2 blocks above bedrock level because of it's size (246 blocks high), Las Pegasus is laid out with a few builds in place, and we have a foundation set for Manehatten so far. Believe it or not but this map is only about a month or so old and we've accomplished this much with only 4 builders if you don't include me. The server is open for anyone to join and we could always use more builders if anyone is interested because I do intend on this to be an all out RP/survival server after all is said and done. Once Equestria is done we're going to copy the map to a new world and hopefully get a Fallout Equestria theme going complete with factions, PvP, PvE, towny, and a fully functional economy. Same applies to the regular map minus PvP within EQ. If you want to see some of the progress made you can check out the dynmap we have here http://miningismagic.bluefang.net:8123/ I'll update regularly so you all can see more awesome builds! I would find a way to mess it up sadly XD but yeah we just want to knock the harder stuff out first
  4. So me and a few friends are working on a mega project in Minecraft recreating ALL of Equestria. I know there are other pony servers out there doing the same thing like Brohoof and such but we actually made a canon map of EQ for all the builds . So far we only have about 40% of Ponyville completed and some other random canon builds. I consider this art as a lot of time and effort has gone into making this real and I do hope everypony can appreciate the hard work we've been putting towards this masterpiece in the making! Thanks for looking and keep on ponying on!

  6. Exactly man. I started with FL Studio and didn't know what I was doing. After working with that I moved on to Ableton and bombarded youtube and google looking for tutorials trying to soak in every piece of info I could find. There is a youtube channel called Dubspot that goes into in depth breakdowns on different DAWs. I learned a ton from that so I'll link them to you and see if this can solve some of your issues http://www.youtube.com/user/DubSpot Hope this helps dude and good luck.
  7. I started making music (attempting) about 6 months ago when I bought Ableton Intro version, messed around for a bit and found that even though I was no good at it I fell in love with it so I bought the Suite edition because why not. I figured if I was going to be serious about this newfound passion then I might as well take it seriously. I bought a launchpad and a 61 key MIDI piano controller and been working on it every since. When you search up my skype name Trixie-Lulamoon it should show up as Winter Solstice or you can try my other account Anthrodragon1 (shows up as Anthrodragon). Both accounts have the same pic as my current one here so I should be pretty easy to find. I look up the name you provided for me real quick.
  8. Cool. I think I also might start a Skype group for beginners in music as sort of an information swap type deal. Thinking maybe for those who are new can possibly help each other out with ideas, tips, and help in areas others are having problems like my problem with vocals. I'm going to take your advice and do some YouTube and Google research on how to properly slice and mix vocals into a song. If you're interested and anyone else interested in this little idea feel more than welcome to contact me through Skype (Trixie-Lulamoon). I would love to get something productive started.
  9. Thanks! Every little bit of info provided helps me out. There is a built in instrument called Sampler in Ableton that you can load .wav files into and use that file in a piano roll but the issue is that the higher you go or vice/versa the tempo and pitch changes. I want to eliminate the tempo change in the piano roll and only keep the pitch change like what you have in your song. I can load in a sample and directly change the tempo and pitch manually but it can take hours just to pitch and tempo change a 2 minute clip if that. I'm not looking for a shortcut but I'm going to go check out that Ableton Live thread and see if there's a more effective way to change those particular settings in an Acapella. Again thanks a ton for the info dude.
  10. Okay so I can't seem the correct way to slice, mix, and blend any vocals from MLP into my music the correct way. I use Ableton Live 9 Suite and have plenty of ideas but I can't seem to make any of it work when it comes to vocals or remixing. Basically I want to make remixes like Jay B, Aftermath, ect ect but can't quite figure out how. Anyone out there willing to help me or give me a few pointers because that would help a ton. Maybe share some ideas also.
  11. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rarity How did you find MLP Forums?: Google searched new forums to hangout at. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Back in 2011 my little brother told me it was worth the watch so I gave it a go. Well I love making Trance music, drawing, ponies (of course XD), anything car related, and that's about it unless I think of something else. I love interaction with people so I talk on Skype constantly including video. I'm not shy and always looking for somebody new to talk to. Anyways glad to be here and looking forward to hanging out as often as possible.
