    "Ponyville town hall, I'm afraid I don't know about that" she shook her head "There was an accident and we need 10,000 bits to pay off the damage" Dash explained "I see, well let's see we split the employee fund evenly between all the Pegasi for working on the twister and add that all up and multiply......" She continued her mental calculations for a minute, "your total will be 12,000 bits, roughly speaking"

    "Ya, That was so awesome!!" dash did several tricks in the air to make a point. "We don't have to come back to this reservoir for four seasons!" Spitfire gave Sonic a salute, "you have done Equestria a great service and I want to thank you on behalf of our people" Rainbow followed suit at saluted as well

    Rainbow landed on the ground and watched the hedgehog do his work. "Sweet Celestia, that was close" Spitfire took her googles off and rubbed the water out of her eyes. Dash was mesmerized by what Sonic had done, he had single hoo-handily emptied the reservoir.

    "What in Celestia's name!!" Spitfire couldn't beleive her eyes, never before had she seen something move so fast. The water from the lake rose higher and higher until it blasted out the top of the twister and blasted out like it was shot from a canon. The water went high into the sky, even higher than Cloudsdale, but it didn't angle toward the floating city. Instead a whole lakes worth of water was about to come raining down on them

    "That tornado is pretty stable" Spitfire relayed to Dash, "are you really sure this guy can pull this off?" "He seems capable enough to make a tornado but I don't think the water will go to Cloudsdale without pegasus magic" "Makes sense, but I want to see how this turns out"

    Dash looked at the big device, it read 254 miles per hour and rising. "Decent but not close enough to get anywhere near Cloudsdale" she shouted against the wind. She turned to look at the lake, a giant funnel began to take shape over the water. "Such speed," she muttered, it was insane that one creature could go so fast

    "I'm not saying you can't make a tornado but good luck trying to make it go we're you want it to" she took position over by Spitfire. "Ready?" She asked "Ready" the other pony flipped the switch on the device, it shuttered at came to life. "You can go now Sonic" Dash put on her goggles

    "That's Spitfire, I called her down here to record your wing power, or in this case how fast you will be running." She nodded to the pony. "Ready when you are." "Ok, you can go run when your ready but I tell you only Pegasi can control this water to move it to Cloudsdale"

    Dash smirked, "Fine, I'll take you there but you'll soon find out that not everything can be accomplished with speed" gesturing with a hoof she lead Sonic down to the lake outside of town. "Here it is " she joined at a half full reservoir. "Ok so all you need to do is get all that water up there" she gestured to the silhouette of Cloudsdale in the evening sky.

    "Old stories say that when the gods made pegusi the used rain from the clouds, giving them the ability to control the weather and fly. So now we have a weather factory that makes weather for the whole country and we have teams of Pegasi who work to keep it in check, I'm the head of the Ponyville team" she began boasting

    "Oh that, after I preformed to Sonic Rainboom I flew above the town to avoid hitting it. I didn't want to hurt anypony just to win a race" she told him. "I'm just worried on how to pay off the mayor, I'm not so worried about the Wonderbolts anymore, I'm just so awesome they will accept me anyway"

    "Well they all took time off work to find me" she told him, "on any other day we'd all hang out here but if you want to know how Twilight sends letters I'm just going to say it's in the strangest way possible. She uses her dragon Spike to do it, he just burps fire on them and they go straight to the princess"

    "Good," she looked pleased, "now that Dash and the letter is taken care of Ill be heading back to the library" she quickly said her goodbyes and headed off back to town. The other ponies did the same, leaving Rainbow Dash and Sonic still standing together in the field

    "Ya sure" she finished writing her own letter to the princess. 'She has to know about these emeralds' tucking the letter away she came back over and quickly wrote a opening statement to the princess, "here this should be good" she hoofed the letter back to Sonic

    Twilight almost forgot about the letter, "Right, here it is," she gave him a a scroll and a quill, "just address the letter to Princess Celestia and write what you learned about friendship" she walked away from the others for a moment, "as for me I have my own letter to write" "I was only saying you needed to have the master emerald to make super emeralds" Pinkie kept going on about it, "Pinkie....your so random" Dash said jokingly

    "Ya, and I don't see a master emerald around here" Pinkie thought aloud. "The emeralds can do that kind of stuff? That's so awesome!" Dash flew up into the air excitedly. "I think those emeralds should be locked away by Celestia, Nopony should have that power" Twilight interjected

    All of Rainbows friends whispered to eachother. Dash never talked about her love life, in fact she never mentioned stuff like that at all. Everypony in town began assuming things about her.... Rainbow's blue fur nearly turned red, 'Does he have feelings for me? Do I have some or him......maybe a small, little bit but I only met Sonic today! No, I can't tell him, "That's nice.....so what is this chaos emerald thing"

    "Do it a-again...." She looked at her friends around her, they stared on in silence. "Hehe" she laughed a bit, "Your not serious are you? That was just to get back at what you did to me earlier" she glanced around at her friends again. "Fine" she let out a sigh and kissed him again.

    "A letter to the princess" Twilight explained, "We write one to her every time we learn a lesson about friendship" 'Fine,' Dash desided to give up her petty anger at Sonic and come on down. The cloud turned back to white as Dash got up and flew down to the ground, "Hey Sonic" she got his attention. In one swift move she hit him lightly across the face and then gave him a small kiss, "There, we're even" she looked around at her friends and turned bright red.

    Dash wanted to stay mad at Sonic, she really did. However she began thinking, 'maybe the Wonberbolts will still accept me, I don't know until I try. But I need to help rebuild town hall, argh I don't know what to do' She laid in the cloud, still unsure of herself, "Are you seriously apologizing to me?" She shouted down

    "Well ok then but do you really think that's a good idea" she asked, getting up. "You and her didn't exactly get off on good terms last time" "I know what I'm doing" Sonic assured her The two walked up to the cloud again, the other ponies quieted down. "Rainbow Dash I'm back, and I got some pony, err I mean someone who wants to talk to you" the cloud above turned black again but Dash didn't say a word.

    "Well maybe you could try to cheer her up" Pinkie tossed out an idea. "I mean you may have best her in a race, got the mayor on her case about the town hall and made her feel pretty bad but if there is anypony who can really cheer her up now it's you" she trotted over to her friends and brought a platter of cupcakes out of nowhere. Leaving Sonic to figure it out by himself

    "Ya, I know all about you. Absoultly every teeny tiny detail." She looked over at the others who were all stirring on the ground talking I each other, the cloud Dash was sitting on was no longer black but a variant of grey. Pinkie frowned, "oh, I do hope Dashie feels better"

    "Oh no I'm not trying to make fun of it, that would be mean" she gave the emerald a poke, "But I know what happens, you and Dashie go all super when you get all seven emeralds and fight the Doctor in the doomsday zone!" She bounced up and down happily, "ooh that just sounds like a doozy doesn't it?"

    "I'm not coming down Twilight give it up" Dash was not going I face her friends now, not only did she seem like a failure but a self centered jerk. "Why do I have to be this way?" She moaned, flipping herself over. "Well we aren't leaving until you come down" Twilight called back. "Yes indeede, the voices in my head tell me all sorts of cool things, that's how I know about your silly gem"
