    Ronel Blanco showed his excellent pitching performance to throw nine no-hit innings for the Houston Astros to pick up their first win of the season. IT'S A NO-HITTER FOR HIM! The 17th no-hitter in Astros history.
    Do you guys think that a no-hitter is excellent for a single pitcher?
    Another thing is a perfect game, a subcategory of a no-hitter in which no batters of the opposing team reach base at all, is even superior for a single pitcher to achieve than just a no-hitter.

    Hello pony fans aka bronies, this is Allen.
    Yet another loss of a relative for me. My great-aunt by marriage passed away from cancer last week, so can you send your condolences to their family? She was my maternal grandmother's sister-in-law. I will be attending the funeral tomorrow and Saturday to pay her a visit laying in state. It was the Tran family for this loss.

    This Saturday, I have an orchestra concert to play in Pearland for Hauntcert Pops Interactive at the time we have major events happening in Houston.
    BLACKPINK will come to Houston at the Toyota Center for Born Pink World Tour performance. I'm a huge fan of Blackpink ever since, with Selena Gomez in their music video "Ice Cream".
    The Astros made it to the World Series again for the second straight year, the fourth time in six seasons, and the fifth time in franchise history! They swept the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. One thing about Yankees this season, Aaron Judge made history with historic 62 home runs in a single season that broke Roger Maris' record of 61 set in 1961 in American League history. I give him respect for that historic home run record! The Astros will be facing off the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series this year. They have home-field advantage here in Houston at the Minute Maid Park for Games 1, 2, and if necessary, 6 and 7.
    One thing, since the Astros made it to the World Series this year, this will be a good time for Blackpink to arrive in Houston for Game 2 of the World Series after they performed in Dallas at the American Airlines Center. I'm not sure what time will Game 2 of the World Series start, because Blackpink will perform at the Toyota Center at 8:00 in the evening on that day, and I want some Astros and Blackpink fans to visit the Toyota Center that would be probably after the game.

    My granduncle has passed away

    My granduncle has passed away last week, so could some of you send your condolences to my grandmother's family whenever possible? That was my maternal grandmother's older brother and oldest sibling in her family. My relatives came for his funeral yesterday and today. His cremation is today, so that was the last time I've met him.

    The Atlanta Braves have done it to win the World Series title for the first time since 1995 with a Game 6 win with an overwhelming 7 to nothing lead against Astros. That's 26 years already for Atlanta, over 20 years. The Houston Astros unfortunately lost the World Series for the second time, but that's okay, it's been a great and overwhelming baseball season so far. I wish that Carlos Correa (Astros shortstop, #1) is still part of the Astros after this baseball season, which he'd be a free-agent in MLB offseason.

    After Houston Astros lost Game 4 of the World Series against Atlanta Braves with a score of 2 to 3 runs, the Astros are now facing a loss in the World Series trailing 1 to 3. In other words, my home baseball team is facing a loss and elimination in the series. Think that the Atlanta Braves will win their first World Series title since 1995 if they win another game, and it's been 26 years for them. It's up to the Houston Astros now to fight back and overcome a 1-3 deficit and force Game 6 and deciding Game 7 of the series back at their home stadium, the Minute Maid Park. If the Astros made a significant comeback from a 1-3 deficit, then they will be the first team to overcome a 1-3 deficit since Chicago Cubs in 2016 World Series.
    I go with pony's reaction to the baseball game. Think that Fluttershy would cry if the Astros lose another game in the series.  If you're the Braves fan, then cheer for the Braves for that.

    Tropical Storm Nicholas has just been upgraded to a Category 1 hurricane as of the 10pm advisory update from the National Hurricane Center. As I just looked on the forecast cone path, it's making a direct path to my home city of Houston right now. Wish me safe, bronies! There's going to be heavy rainfall that can lead to flooding in my area.

    I'm still very sad to remember why Kobe Bryant and Chadwick Boseman are gone in the same year.  Any-pony miss both of these people? Kobe Bryant was one of our best basketball players and competed in NBA; and Dr. Chadwick Boseman was one of our greatest actors who portrayed the Black Panther in his film. Bryant tragically died from a helicopter crash in late January, and Dr. Boseman unexpectedly died from colon cancer in late August. That was an incredible loss of 2020 that we've seen! 
    Thank god they both were included in MrBeast's YouTube Rewind! Thanks, Jimmy Donaldson for including them for those we've lost last year!  It was my idea that I want Kobe Bryant tributed in Rewind 2020 after noticing his death, as well as Dr. Chadwick Boseman. Rest in peace, Mr. Bryant. They will always remember you as basketball legends. Rest in power, Dr. Boseman. Wakanda forever!

    Hello to everyone (every-pony) on MLP Forums, this is Allen!
    In case I get a power outage from Hurricane Laura, I will make this blog post just before the hurricane hit near Houston. Hurricane Laura is now a major hurricane, and it's anticipated to make landfall near the Texas-Louisiana border as a major hurricane or a Category 4 hurricane at around midnight today. Wow!  It's strengthening quickly starting from today at midnight, and then I just woke up at around 7:30 AM CDT to track Hurricane Laura's wind speed and pressure. Well it may be the possibility for Hurricane Laura to quickly and explosively strengthen into a Category 5, that intensification scenario would make it exceptional for Texas or Louisiana landfall. Send prayers to me and Houston that I will prepare and stay safe from this impending hurricane! I'll get back to you as soon as Hurricane Laura passed by!
    I'm still in Houston by the way, but farther from downtown is I live in the southwest area. I'll consider a plan with my family to evacuation from my home location as I'm going to have power out in my area from dangerous or violent winds.

    Since former vice president Joe Biden became the Democratic nominee for this year's presidential election after Senator Bernie Sanders was the last one to be dropped out, I'll set up a poll here on my blog. I will vote for Joe Biden for this one. I wish Bernie Sanders should have been the nominee when he ran for president for the second time after 2016, which Biden ran for president for the third time and he really wants to lead the nation.
    I know what President Trump has done during his presidency, especially during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. I want Biden to fix everything for what Trump has done, and sure President Biden will fix it to make everyone feel better and pleased. If Biden wins, then a two-term presidential streak since Bill Clinton's presidency will be broken.
    During this COVID-19 pandemic, I want the vaccines be developed as quickly as possible within this year or by the end of this year, and go into distribution to all COVID-infected people for free! Oxford in England are well at the second phase of developing a COVID-19 vaccine right now; the vaccine candidate will be AZD1222.

    Hi bronies, this is Allen sending this blog out,
    Before Harvey could make landfall in Texas as a Category 3 major hurricane, I got here as soon as possible before the electricity went out (including the Wi-Fi/Internet connection) at where I live in path of that storm! Some-brony on MLP Forums who lives in Southern and Southeast Texas must be prepared for Hurricane Harvey and stay safe! My concern is my school district will be closed tomorrow in preparation of Hurricane Harvey but I want to come to school (during regular/normal school days)! I'm prepared for major flooding, as well as isolated tornadoes from Hurricane Harvey at my area!

    My cousin in Chicago will get married in late September, so they invited me and my family to their wedding and I will be out-of-town for at least 5 days (Wednesday, September 27, 2017 late evening - Monday, October 2, 2017 late evening) and will miss 3 school days (Thursday, September 28; Friday, September 29; and Monday, October 2), because my mom did booked a flight to Chicago on that day. But I want to attend all the school days of the school year!
    However, when I go out-of-town (on vacation), I will ask you in this blog entry that going out-of-town should be an excused absence from school. Does that mean that going out-of-town is an excused absence from school? Explain in comments below.

    Why you believe that the 2016 presidential election is terrifying in your opinions that Trump won the election? So I'll make a blog that who you're voting for in the 2020 election with a poll given above. Choose either Trump or Sanders in your opinions for the 2020 election.
    I choose Bernie Sanders in the 2020 election, because I believe that Bernie Sanders (an independent senator from Vermont who used to be a democrat when he ran for President in the 2016 election) is a better candidate, because most of you bronies vote for him in the 2016 election but he lost the Democratic nomination to Hillary Clinton.
    I have good news: Hillary Clinton is not running for President again in the 2020 election! Because in the 2016 election, Clinton lost the election to Trump by losing the Electoral College while she won the popular vote, believing that she is a dictator in your opinions. As well with Elizabeth Warren, she said that she will not for president in 2020.
    I want Bernie Sanders to be the 46th President of the United States, so let Trump stay as president for a single 4-year term. After Bernie Sanders won the 2020 election, he'll be the oldest President in US history and he'll be able to fix this.

    Anypony excited about today's a Leap Day (2/29) in 2016? I'm excited about that too and "Happy Leap Day" to everypony!

    "We add an extra day on the calendar "February 29" by every four years to keep our calendars in-sync of the tropical year, as 2016/4=504. I remember the Earth's orbit is 365.2422 days, and without a leap day we lose 6 hours of Earth's orbit!"
