Some people might hate celestia because she banished luna to the moon for 1000 years and

She always relys on other ponies to stop the villain whilst she sits on her throne probably (im not a hater)

She probably has more important things to worry about.

She did nothing in particular in the show. She has no "problems", no real character development, or backstory...

 

The only good scene involving her was this one:

It's difficult to say. Some say that she isn't developed enough. I think she is...

She's the tallest pony in the show, how much more development do you want?

I don't neccesarily hate Celestia. I just find her surprisingly boring.

I enjoy opera, but many find that boring.

She has too much of that cliche' Princess attitude. She has no substance and not real personality, strength or anything about her that makes her powerful or interesting. She's weak in mind and soul is why I don't like her.

I am not hating Princess Celestia... just I am not liking her. Why? Because she is like a typical mother.  She will do what she thinks she should do, without thinking about another way. And everytime she is right. Only now there were a lot of ways to showing how much Celestia was suffering, because of her decision to sending Luna to the moon - look at season 4 and official comics.

 

That's a little sad that now suddenly she is cleared from all her bad sides...

In my opinion it's only Celestia's guilty of making Luna transforming into Nightmare Moon. In the show we have got only a fragment, where Luna decided to rebel. But we don't know what was earlier. And I think that Celestia was just a bad sister. Luna was coming jealous of gratitude from the citizens and depressed because of being ignored by ponies. If Celestia had notice all of this in time and made her best to help her sister, Princess of the Night would never transform into NM.

 

Also I don't like Celestia, because of the day. There is so hot, so stuffy... CELESTIA GO AWAY, I want the cold night or at least the cold day ;_;

I hate Celestia, she is the worst princess of them all. Luna is bad too, but she never sends the Mane 6 to do things for her and she also doesn't troll her subjects.

 

P.S. She is a Goddess and that seems too..eh..

I dislike that she always seems to send someone else to do her dirty work but i don't hate her. In fact i hate that the fans depict her and Luna as Pony Goddesses of Uber Special Awesome power and then suddenly they get beat by vines and Chrysalis...

I stated this before, she has more important things to do, and that fight with Chrysalis was either a fluke or she threw it on purpose for reasons that only Celestia can comprehend, as her ways are higher than our ways.

I think it's silly to argue over opinions on characters. There's nothing wrong if you like or dislike Princess Celestia. You don't need to be "corrected" by someone who likes her if you don't like her; you don't need to be "corrected" by someone who dislikes her if you like her. You shouldn't really need to have to defend yourself one way or the other. I honestly think people get into heated arguments waaaaay too easily over stuff like this. You don't need a trial with detractors and evidence against your case for not liking a friggin' pony.

Yeah, I had that, and it was especially tumultuous when I was still going to church. As I've gotten older, I've learned to deal with it, just as @Kothen mentioned before, and I'm not as bugged out by them.

These thoughts, they come every once in a while, but it has gotten to the point where I can just shake my head and treat them in as something separate from myself.

At my worst, I've broken down and cried at the bottom of my dormitory stair well back in college, but since then it has never gotten that bad.

I totally support this thread.

So far, there are three new weddings lined up, for whenever I get around to doing them.

1st, is the wedding of and their Rarity tulpa.

2nd, is the wedding of the Questioner (currently known as ) and ...yes this particular wedding is surprisingly not a Pony Waifu wedding, but one between two forum users.

Shocking, yes?

3rd, is the wedding between and Applejack. This wedding will be a little different, as Desert Guardian cannot get skype to work for him, so we will be doing this one via PM.

this is the problem i have with celestia,she has a lot of potential as a character,but i do hope we are gonna see at least one episode centered around her(and maybe luna) in season 5
