  1. Well, I've never herd of him, so... no.

LOOK HIM UP NOW! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Check out this song, it's the first work I've heard of his, and probably one of my favorites!

...You know, if you don't mind...

  2. You Only Live Once- Suicide Silence

    Mocking Bird- Eminem

    Vicer Exciser- WhiteChapel

    Questions:

    1. What your Cutie Mark would be?

    2. Will Discord come back to once again try to break the Pony's friendship?

    3. If they made a drastic change to season 3, what would it be?

  3. I completely agree with this topic. All throughout the episode, I felt as if it was a fan made "Creepy Pasta" story. The ponys all seemed a bit "off", and they displayed Fluttershy's "Dark side" a little too much IMO. However, I do see where the writers were coming from, it shows just how fed up Fluttershy was with being pushed around by everyone she came into contact with. It was a big risk the writers took, and admittedly they did a great job showing how not to be pushed around, but to not go off the deep end with it.

  4. Just wondering if any pony is a fan of Anthony Green's work? I have been a fan since the beginning, and I am absolutely obsessed with his work. Everything from Saosin, to Circa Survive, and even his solo albums, are all absolutely beautiful. For example, Saosin was more of his Hard Rock, or "Screamo" (yes, I hate that word as much as you do) style, Circa was experimental with different feels for each albums, and his solo work is soft rock with an angel singing. Basically, it's no secret all of his albums are very diverse, and I love all of it.

I want to know what your favorite album is by him, it can be any of his work. Although all of his work is amazing, my personal favorite would have to be a direct tie between Circa Survive- Juterna, and On Letting Go. I can't choose a song because I have way too many favorties to tie between these 2 albums (I've tried to narrow it down, but it doesn't work xD).

  5. Admittedly, I wish I was more open about the whole MLP thing. As most people on this forum, I am a very shy person, keep to myself whenever possible, unless for a few select people. I still haven't told any of my best friends yet simply because I am afraid what they will think of me. Although it sounds childish, that's really how it is. All my friends are really into internet memes, image boards, etc., and undoubtedly heard about at least somewhat about what a "Brony" is. However if they are Brony haters, they will NEVER let me live it down. I'm sure one day it will slip out and who knows, maybe they will surprise me. Although I am suspicious of my one friend possibly being a Brony, I know if he Isn't, he will judge it as "gay" right off the bat, and probably like it a few months later.

  6. Considering how Discord is portrayed, this is actually a very legitimate point. In the episode, Discord is obviously seen as someone who doesn't make his "game" fair. He plays by no pony's rules, not even his own, and knew exactly what he was doing. One can argue he knew exactly how strong the elements were because of how far he went to hide them, with the use of the labyrinth, and riddle. The labyrinth scene really shook them up, and essentially started the domino effect, or "Transformation". It ruined their friendship, and it seems they were completely fine with splitting up, even Twilight gave into it after some time, and was ready to move on. Enter Princess Celistia who could have easily been in on Discord's plan the entire time. The show revolves around not what friendship is, but TWILIGHT'S DEFINITION of what friendship is. Princess Celistia gave Twilight back her views on them to essentially "Brain wash" the pony's. Assuming Celistia was in on Discord's plan to only brain wash them, this is a long shot, however, can be considered a valid point.

I understand this could be a considered a shot in the dark, and feel free to call me out on this, I love a little friendly confrontation! :)

  7. I think that most girls grow up with these as a kid so it seems like baby stuff to them now. I think most men like this show because they try to grow up fast because of movies and show making them want to be an alpha male and be on top. And not be a boy anymore. If that makes any sense...

I no doubt see where your coming from. I will admit, some of the reason I personally watch the show is to bring back the carefree child we all once were.

  8. Gender neutral show.

Transgender just sounds like it is for transexual people.

And I think there is a greater amount of men liking the show just for the sheer fact that the original bronies were men, and seeing many other men who enjoy the show will attract more and more guys.

For woman, I think it depends on what type of girl they are to enjoy mlp.

Ahh that's what I meant to type, thanks for the heads up. D:

  9. Honestly, I would like it to stop with the thirteen episodes confirmed for season three, and a finale movie. The longer a series go, the quality usually suffers; I'd rather have three kickass completed seasons than seven more subpar ones. Unless the awesome guys at Studio B can keep the show fresh akin to something like The Simpsons or South Park, I would want them to essentially "quit while their ahead."

For those concerned about the fandom dying off once the show ends, don't be. If anything, we as the brony community would probably grow stronger as more importance would be placed on fan projects and charities than the show itself; the community would have a more solidified sense of self.

And hey, when the show ends, it would call for an increase in the quality of fanfictions since all the facts about the land of Equestria and the characters have been finalized. ;)

Completely agree with your points. I would much rather 3 solid seasons, then have it drag on like most older shows that are still running. If they can still make MLP entertaining with a 4th season, they should by all means try, but I would like to see quality over quantity, especially with a show like this. Also I agree with you that once the show inevitably ends, no matter how many seasons they make, the fan base will no doubt grow stronger. These very forums will go much more into depth once all the cards are on the table and fans are able to talk about the series as a whole.

  10. I completely understand what the episode was about, and I respect the message, however seeing Fluttershy like that just broke my heart. It's probably because Fluttershy is my favorite pony, and I can relate to her a lot, but just to think of the most adorable cartoon character of all time reverting to a stage such as that makes me want to cry :'(

  11. You're right on the money buddy! Any particular pony you have a crush on? Fluttershy is my top with Rarity a hair's length behind.

I no doubt have a huge crush on Fluttershy, her personality is the most adorable thing! :)

In a close second, I would have to say Twilight because she reminds me a lot of myself. She knows she can do things most pony's can't (such as her magic), however she never feels the need to brag about it, and always willing to help any pony through good times, and bad.

  12. I like basically all the episodes equally, but my least favorite has to be "Putting your Hoof Down". I completely understand what the episode was about, and I respect the message, however seeing Fluttershy like that just broke my heart. Its probably because Fluttershy is my favorite pony, and i can actually relate to her a lot, but just to think the most adorable cartoon character of all time, reverting to a stage such as that makes me want to cry. :'(

  13. If they cut Fluttershy out it will leave so many people disappointed, I don't see how they could write off a mane pony just like that. I haven't actually gotten to season 2 yet, mainly because I have been taking my time with the series, so I don't know first hand what she is like in S2. Fluttershy being so shy seems to make the show for me because when she speaks, its just so precious. :')

  14. this is also the only forum where i've seen a religious discussion conducted respectably without degrading into rampant trolling. it's a wonderful thing really

Completely agree with you. Let's be honest here, when teen/adult males can push away the fact their watching cartoon pony's aside and watch the show for what it is, you are dealing with some of the most open minded people on the planet IMO. Basically what it comes down to is people are going to respect anything you have to say on this forum, no matter what it is. Such a nice community. :)

  15. This is one of the main reasons why I respect the show as much as I do. If someone were to start a thread on the same question on another animated show, they would probably get banned for trolling, but this is actually a completely reasonable topic. The character development in this show is simply superb, you truly get the feeling that you are meeting every pony first hand. You get the sence that you not only "like" the way they act in certain situations, but you are along for the ride and they all have such distinct personality's it feels like you could have an actually meaningful conversation with them.

.. and lets be honest here, their all adorable! :D

  16. Fluttershy is my favorite pony IMO. Her shyness and just being plain adorable simply makes the show the show what it is. I will never forget in "Sonic Rainboom" (season 1 episode 16), the end with Fluttershy honestly brought a tear to my eye, and I'm a guy. I believe she brings out a side in all of us that is shy and innocent. Coming in a VERY close tied for second; Pinkiepie, and Twilight. Pinkiepie no doubt adds some needed comic relief to the sometimes serious (but still very good) plot to the episodes. Her random outbursts are always funny, and the writers did a great job with her. Twilight is also tied, mainly because she reminds of what everybody strives to be in modern society. Well rounded, has a need to make every pony happy, and doesn't feel the need to brag about her accomplishments.

  17. In all seriousness, the animators really hit the nail on the head. This is the main reason I watch the show. The expressions on their faces are something I've never seen in animation. What other animated show can you know exactly what the character is feeling by looking at their PUPILS?
