    Thoughts on Windows 10. Only if you've used it!

    I'm going to make this simple for you.  I have 2 computers.  One I kept on Windows 7, one I upgraded to 10.  I also have had experience using friends' computers who were running Windows 8.

     

    I love Windows 7.  I give it a 9.5/10. 

    I hate Windows 8.  I give it a 4/10.

    I like Windows 10.  I give it a 9/10.

     

    So, what is it that makes the 0.5 difference between 7 and 10?

     

    Windows 7 organization and UI is truly a masterpiece.  It's a perfect balance of business-casual.  Everything is nice and tidy, looks great, and is very familiar to anyone who has used any previous generation of Windows.  Yes, even Windows 98.  Though probably more-so for XP and Vista.  The looks have become sleeker and more contemporary, but without the sacrifice of changing the important things we are so familiar with and love from the older OS's.  

     

    Windows 10 is a sidestep.  It became too "business" in some areas, and too "casual" in others.  By that I mean, the style of organization, and trying to find settings and all that stuff.  The Desktop is okay, but I hate the UI style of the taskbar and start button.  Click the start button, and all familiarity is gone, at least for me being used to Windows 7.  It's like it's trying to be more personalize-able while somehow failing and making it hard to find things.  However, that's a very small issue when looking at the big picture.  It shouldn't be hard to become accustomed to Windows 10.  And it is a tiny bit faster than Windows 7.  But honestly, it just seems like a step sideways rather than forwards (and fwiw, Windows 8 was a step into another dimension that was being based from a proxy in hell).  

     

    Is Windows 10 reeeally worth the upgrade?  

     

    If you have Windows 8, then FUCK YES IT IS!  Upgrade NOW!

     

    If you have Windows 7...

     

    Maybe.  I mean, you could always upgrade to 10 and if you don't like it, I believe you have a one month grace period to revert back to Windows 7.  More than likely, you'll end up keeping 10, just for the sake of it.  But personally, I'm glad I kept Windows 7 on my primary laptop.  So take that for what it's worth.

    It has been over a year since the last proper Anthology, and it has been.. Uhh. A very long time. But, the crew have been working very hard lately to bring the latest Anthology to BronyCon. This video was uploaded right after it was aired at BronyCon.

    Howdy there folks! We down here at Treble Sketch Gaming love to do some interesting things in games. From space stations to big pixel art in Minecraft. (Really, that's all I've ever done)  :wacko:

     

    This time, in Prison Architect (Steam, Wikipedia, Game Homepage) is what I'll be doing something in. And with the suggestion of @InfectedPone during a casual game Skype chat a few hours ago, of making a Prison with all of the Poniverse Staff as the prisoners.  :sunbutt:

    So now, I'll be making the map over the next few weeks. I'm going to have to hack the game file at the end to change all the names and stuff. Hope it'll look good and we can all have a good laugh at this then ^_^

     

    Oh, this image sparked the idea. I took a screenshot of my character that I put in the game as a DLC that was in the package when I bought the game.
