    Very weird that this got pushed back to the start of chapter 4 when it takes place between the first two episodes of chapter 5, hence why Sparky's low-energy instead of being a rambunctious child, like he was in the comic Also probably one of the more fleshed-out parts of G5, since it also got a few TYT episodes centered around it, which was nice On its own though, still pretty hollow with no real conflict or antagonist besides the ever-dreaded miscommunication

    Comics > Tell Your Tale > Make Your Mark The slow release schedule makes it hard to get invested in the story and setting, and TYT's too short and disconnected to carry the series, which makes the fact they're focusing on that going forward extremely depressing Funnel more into MYM for sake so we don't have to wait 6-7 months between releases

    G5 Movie characterization > G5 Series characterization Zipp > Dash Unicorn!Twilight > Sunny > Alicorn!Twilight Pipp =/= Rarity Movie/Comic!Izzy > Pinkie Pie > TYT/MYM!Izzy Sheriff!Hitch > Fluttershy > Dad!Hitch Well-written Applejack > all > Badly-written Applejack Well-written Spike > Sparky > Spike the other 90% of his screentime

    Nothing wrong with expanding on Bridlewoodstock Kinda wish Winter Wishday also had more episodes dedicated to it, like getting to see Zipp and Pipp spend time with their mother, and exploring more of Bridlewood's traditions

    Yeah, TYT's already been airing episodes set during chapter five (Ever since "As the Misty Clears") Which hopefully means they'll air Opaline's whole song in MYM

    All my rewatch is confirming is that Twilight peaked early on in S5 (frankly, S4 if we're being honest) and started her decline into Celestia-tier uselessness from there (Princess Spike was a pretty huge red flag and it's a shame they seemed to think that's what Twilight is always like)

    Ah the age-old gag of "aging mother wants her twenty-something daughters to give her grandkids" 'course, when they said no, she started looking for a nice piece of flank for herself, and there's a perfectly good single unicorn right over there... (Honestly, don't blame her; if my grandkids were anything like Sparky I'd start looking for a new progeny maker too)

    ...no? I can go back and watch FiM whenever I want (something I'm literally doing and having just finished S6, am firmly in the camp of 'it should've ended 2 seasons ago because the vast majority of it since has been downhill') I'm watching, and even enjoying, G5 for the G5 characters, and wish it wasn't being dragged out to such an agonizing degree

    I'm in the midst of a rewatch, and the first four seasons were all extremely solid, and what fell flat on a first watch felt a little better the second time around S5 had the first real dud with Tanks for the Memories butchering characters into caricatures of themselves ("I love my pet therefore I am going to commit terrorism and ignore qualified people's advice because this is my episode and I make the rules") S6 has been peaks and valleys and it's only going to get worse as it goes on, so...honestly, just enjoy the episodes you like and skip the ones that drive you into a frothing incoherent rage and odds are you'll be happier as a result~

    The only thing that improved was the animation ...Sorta Thankfully that was the worst it got Feels like they're actively avoiding world-building, what with not elaborating on that one scene in episode 4 with Opaline's backstory, and avoiding having Zipp ever explain her Conspiracy wall by covering it with music and putting it in a filler episode

    Condensing a 45-minute season finale into five minutes is pretty impressive, but it still feels like we're missing an entire season's worth of character growth for Misty

    Because there's only one Twilight and she's currently traveling through time, so she can't be in the new timelines (not worlds) Odds are the tree of harmony's doing something preventing her from paradoxing herself out of existence due to not completing her surge and starting her tutelage under Celestia

    "Don't worry guys TYT gets good about 49 episodes in" is such a weird thing to say - then you realize they're 5 minutes a pop and we're only about ten episodes into what would be considered a normal season of 22-minute episodes Wonder where we'd be now if the previous 48 episodes were also of this quality (maybe less since there are a few good episodes throughout the series, but they're few and far between...)

    Really feels like we skipped some episodes or MYM chapters, given Misty's got a spine now Nice to see Serious Sunny though

    Given how long these have been cooking, they better be movie-quality, 'cause LUNA KNOWS they've had more than enough time to polish them to that level of quality and beyond...

    Why is the title "Eggward" yet the ponies consistently call him "Eggmond" Also Sparky farted in the first 40 seconds, therefore worst episode; abandon thread! ...So, where's the mother of all those rabbits? Also love that Zipp and Hitch are Sparky's parents

    The least they could do is air Tell Your Tale bi-weekly, then put an episode of Make Your Mark every other week - yes, it's only two episodes each per month, but it's still twice as much pony content per month as well What on earth is with the delay with MYM? What kind of contract did they have with Netflix? You'd think with this much of a gap, they'd be able to polish every episode up to movie-quality no problem, but NOPE, Winter Wishday was barely a step up from Make Your Mark and chapter 2

    Issue 9, after months of TYT, is such a breath of fresh air. The writing, the characterization, the faces... 10/10 across the board. Sweet mother of Luna, I wish G5 was being handled better than it currently is, because there's so much good in it, but it's being strangled with its presentation and release schedule.

    Might've been them shuffling things around for the Netflix release of TYT(however that's going to work), or there's episodes coming up that coincide with the release of the next batch of MYM episodes so they paused to keep from overtaking it, or production issues caused a halt, or...any other excuse I guess
