  1. My favorite scene has to be the "Find a Pet" song in "May the Best Pet Win". Best scene ever!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2Ltv9fjVe4
  2. I love the OPs suggestion that Daring Do is half fiction. I don't think it will be canon, but I would love to see fan art/fics about the author of the Daring Do series as described above. Assuming that they don't mention the name of the author in the episode (I'm pretty sure they don't, but someone might double check?) what name should this author have? EDIT: misspelled canon (it's just two n's right?)
  3. Roid Rage/Skyroids wasn't really that appealing to me... He put a smile on my face but he certainly wasn't laugh out loud funny. I mostly liked seeing more Fluttershy.
  4. I'm most curious about A) whether or not they will have a two parter to kick off season three and B ) who the main villain will be and what obstacle will be between the mane six and their magical jewelry power. The only reason A is in debate is because it's only thirteen episodes, so they might not want to spend the relatively larger portion of episodes on a similar plot to the beginnings of seasons one and two. Also if it is a summer season there wouldn't be the same lack of ponies for months to make the ordeal more dramatic. Thoughts on B? I was delightfully surprised with Discord, who I thought was a much more interesting character than Nightmare Moon. The only connections that we can pull from both Discord and NM is that they are ageless/timeless beings with god-like power. (Discord more than NM). Will it be male or female? Neither? EDIT: My second point got turned into an emote.
  5. Why is it such a surprise that Vinyl Scratch is beating Trixie? There is a ton of fan-art for Vinyl and she has awesome glasses. She is a DJ (DJ pon-3 anyone?) and a lot of people like music. Trixie, on the other hand, is about as close to a villain as you get in MLP FIM without being in the first two episodes of either season. Even though Trixie has probably 20-100 times as much screen time, she is equally one-dimensional. This. Trixie has fewer, more devoted fans, but Vinyl scratch is the overall more appealing pony for most of us.
  6. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xev0qEy6Xcw So I guess it's 75, not 72. EDIT: I guess it's still possible that that the creators mistakenly wrote in 75 and didn't double check the numbers, especially seeing that it's so close to indicating the same date (based on the air dates of the episodes), but I think that it's a coincidence that 75 days happened to land a few days off of the air date of 'Party of One'.
  7. So am I doing it right? This seems like a different (better) forum than most, and I feel a little out of place.
  8. Thanks for the tip, but I'm pretty sure that's true when looking up just about anything. If there is one thing I've learned about the internet, it's "Be careful though."
  9. Agreed!! And where did you get your avatar? It's AWESOME!! I guess an introduction of myself starts with knowyourmeme.com. I first heard about mlp fim and it's fandom and bronies and stuff on their page for it about nine months ago. At first I was just intrigued at another weird meme, but then I saw so many comments about how good it was. That and the fact that there was a civil war on /b/ over it made me think there was more to this show than it seemed. I decided to watch every episode. I was slightly unimpressed with the first two episodes, but there was a point when the show changed for me. I would watch an episode and think "oh they could have made the plot of that episode better" or "that was rather predictable" but there was something else there. I would get all warm and fuzzy inside at things (especially Fluttershy). Somehow, even though there isn't all of the elements of the greatest, most moving movie ever, it still got to me. This show has some kind of X factor that makes you love these characters without the normal tools of doing so (just in my opinion, not trying to start a movie debate here). Or maybe they are normal but I just don't see it. So after a summer of waiting, I started watching season 2 episodes as they came out. This has been what really solidified me as a brony, because just about everyone one has been AMAZING! The musical numbers, the subject matter and the ponies have made it a great season to watch. I think the anticipation of needing to wait at least a week between each episode helps too. Sorry if this is too long, I just got started and wrote the whole thing. I haven't really told (or written down) my story before, and it felt kinda good even if everyone else just thinks it's tl;dr.
  10. If not objectively, then certainly subjectively. I thought I'd let my first post show my love and support for Fluttershy, the sweetest, humblest, most caring pony ever. I have loved the recent episodes that show Fluttershy in the spotlight, even though I did notice a lack of certain ponies (where has Applejack been for weeks?). P.S. the squee is my favorite.
