Everytime I see people debating this, I find it amusing that they often forget the strongest evidence it's been longer than 1 year: pinkie pie's birthday. Let me explain. Season 1 episode 25, party of one, and season 2 episode 18, a friend in deed both bring this up. Party of one, pretty self explanatory. Now, in a friend in deed, she clearly says her birthday isn't for another 75 days. You can argue that the episode would have to take place before party of one, but if we're going by that logic, 2 more episodes would have to as well: lesson zero and baby cakes. You can argue that it could still be one year without rearranging, but there is a small problem with that as well. That'd mean the amount of time between the series premiere and party of one, added to the time between a friend in deed and the season 4 premiere is about 75 days. I'd say that makes even LESS sense than the whole thing being 1 year. I'm far from being an expert on the series, but from my analysis, 2 years would make the most sense. Hopefully after reading this, it'll make sense to others too.

usually second place i look. if they start taking it off both, ill really get mad.

its getting harder to find the episodes on youtube. if they really do start imposing that ****ing copyright ban on the new episodes too, ill end up missing out on season 5 altogether. at least til its on netflix, but thatd take months.

i would if given the chance. but only if they were real. who specificly? fluttershy,luna, or celestia if any of them were wiling. one can only dream.

id want to be a pegasus. for 2 reasons. 1: ive always wanted to fly. and 2: i wouldnt want to freak everypony out with there suddenly being a human there.

i swear, im starting to scare myself with how well i know the show these days. used to be i knew little to nothing about it. lol

well, lets look at this in a linear manner.warning, im about to go deep into analysis, so be ready. assuming the seasons work the same for them they do for us, things get complicated. the start of the series is summer, thats a constant. ok, first seasons a lead up to the ggg (grand galloping gala). now, if we look into events in "sweet and elite," twilight says the galas coming up. either a sceond year had begun, the galas more than once a year, or i dont know what the bucks going on. then theres hearths warming eve, obviously comes during winter. safe to assume it comes between fall weather friends and winter wrap up, if were assuming it really has only been one year. then theres pinkies birthday. party of one pretty self explanatory. then in a friend in deed she says her birthdays mot for 70 something days. either its been a year since party of one, or friend in deed takes place before that, or we have some real continuity issues. then theres the recent episode, "tanks for the memories". *spoiler* (but i doubt anyone here hasnt seen it yet) we learn that it was to be their first winter since meeting. now, she first gets tank back in season 2. but then raises a few questions. if this is the case, then the earliest she couldve gotten him was spring, not long before season 4 premiere. meaning, the 2 of them hadnt been together as long we were led to think. which makes her little rampage make even less sense. my overall analysis: the timelines completely bucked, or someone wasnt paying much attention.

if its really only been a year, then my theories on the timeline are out the window. itd take some serious episode rearranging to figure out any kind of order. but thats all speculative, since as simba pointed out, theres no way of knowing how long seasons are, or how long they consider a year.

hmm, hard to decide. there arent really any i flat out hate. ok, gilda.. only appears once. gotta work with something.

i wouldnt put it past either. i think she get at least some form of punishment. it would be completely unrealistic if she didnt. then again it IS a cartoon, we passed unrealistic like 4 seasons ago.

well heres hoping they keep it going at this rate.

theres something jve been noticing of late. this season seems more well thought out. ive seen my share of poorly written, or just plain rushed episodes *cough cough* season 3 *cough cough*. but they seem to have put more thought ito these new ones.
