I think he's alive but he won't come back for quite a while. He's smarter than most animals but if that kind of explosion happened by Fluttershy's cabin you would expect them to run and hide for a bit. You don't exactly hurry back to somewhere you were almost killed!

I think she will keep going until some real adults get involved (aka they bring the sisters in) or until the CMC actually get marks. I have always thought that she's jealous of blank flanks because of their potential, I mean she got her mark and its a crown which basically says 'you are going to be in charge of something really big' and who knows maybe DT wants to do a little of something else before that but now her mark has sealed her fate... sweet Celestia I'm starting to feel bad for her!

For Scoots it should be the wrench that we were teased with earlier in the show, she realizes she will never fly naturally so she makes robot wings but still continues to ride scooter out of habit Applebloom's should be either a glittery apple or an apple and some kind of building related object, apple for her family and the glitter/object for her building and decorating skills. Sweetie Belle's I think would be a bell with a little magic star similar to Twi's on it. Bell for energy, name and musical inclination and the star for her surprisingly strong magic.

I'm pro for the same reasons as you are, as well as these little fight scenes look epic and can be used as ammo when someone says MLP is for babies(which happens a lot at my school)

Here are the steps 1.Show what happens when she's away from her throne (aka Luna making bad decisions :evil face: ) 2. Let her do some actual fighting(!) 3.Give her a new student ( I know she already found Twi to be her heir but maybe just to help young unicorns unlock their potential) 4. Expand on her backstory (like when we saw what banishing Luna was like from her perspective) 5. MORE. SCREEN. TIME.

I think they could write him out temporarily like a Dragon Quest part 2 maybe have a few episodes where Twi sends Owlisious to check on him so we can see him build character and then have him come back eventually!
