Well Cherry Bomb, I feel like there aren't a whole lot active people on this thread anymore sadly. But that being said I know that I am in charge of a group called T.A.P. (The Audio Project) and we're getting ready for a massive project and we can use voice actresses and actors. Plus even if you aren't able to get on as a character for the first 10 chapters we could always use extra people to help do short stories and keep the channel active with new content!

IT'S UPDATE TIME!!!! That's right folks we've got some updates as well as a few announcements.

First up we would like to congratulate Raynell for her wonderful rendition of Xenith/Zecora. Also a huge round of applause for Velvet who will be voicing Velvet Remedy (and yes her real name really is Velvet! Talk about irony!)

We were not able to find anyone for LittlePip or Steel Hooves/Applesnack and you can audition for those roles until March 8th.

@@Shadowking58, Thank you for reminding me. I have had a lot going on. I was looking at releasing a new audition video sometime within the next week. I just have to create the audition scripts as well as the video but once that is complete I will post it up here and you have access to them.

If Dj Pon3 is still available next Friday I'll give it a shot. (Mic broke) But I'll definately give minor characters a shot.

To the rest of the wonderful people following this forum; I do apologize for the lack of updates and information flowing your way. We have been so swamped with auditions, decision making and trying to get ahead of schedule. We were not expecting the huge outpouring of support from all of the wonderful people in the community that our time table has been surpassed. That means so much because we weren't expecting such support in the early days of the project.

We are still looking for Littlepip and Velvet Remedy for the female roles and Steel Hooves/Applesnack for the male role. These aver very important main characters that we would like to have filled soon.

Hello everyone, FOE Audio Project is casting for three female roles all of which are main characters.

Here is the

First we have Littlepip who is small and unnoticed in the stable where she's lived her entire life, that is until she leaves the stable and becomes a symbol to the wastelanders. She makes it her personal mission to end evil or die trying. The entire book is written through her perspective and that means that the actress will have to read the narrated parts as well as the lines for Littlepip. Next is Velvet Remedy who also lived in the same stable as Littlepip, she's a gifted singer as her cutie mark indicates however she doesn't want to sing. Instead she just wants to help and treat sick ponies which drives her to leave the stable one fateful day. Last is Xenith who is a Zebra who has been terribly abused, scared and hated by all. She has lived a very hard life, she was ripped away from her daughter and husband, thrown into slavery and eventually forced to fight in cage matches with other to death. As far as the other characters you mentioned wanting to try out for, I am so backlogged(I am doing all of the staff/admin stuff) that I haven't gotten to those parts just yet. However I will move that up on my priority list and as soon and I get some audition lines created then I will go ahead and send them to you in a PM.

I'm male, and my voice is really weird, but I wouldn't mind trying out for the Wasteland radio position.

My name is Ben (AKA RRBrony) and I am the project director and coordinator for FOE Audio. We are looking for voice actors/actresses and people who can help with other elements of the project. Such as getting the lines for minor characters, editing, basic logistics, and much more. Now for a little about this project.

We want to turn the book Fallout: Equestria into an audio book. The way we will do this is by getting a full cast of voice actors/actresses who will give life to all of the characters in the story. Unlike other projects currently underway we will read the book word for word as if the listener was reading it. We want to stay true to the original written work so that the listener will be able to get the full experience. We are currently opening auditions to find VAs for the main characters of the story.

Right now we are looking for:

Calamity: is a Pegasus that has a bit of a southern accent/tone to him. The lines you will be voicing is a very emotional and difficult topic for him because of what happened. The Pegasi abandoned Equestria once one of their sky cities was destroyed by a mega spell(think nuclear bomb) and the question is why he is the only one below the massive cloud cover which blocks out the sky. He was banned from going above the clouds because he wanted to help the ponies of the wasteland.

Steel Hooves/Applesnack: is a steel ranger and wears an armored suit that covers him from Muzzle to tail and is equipped with enough firepower to layout an entire battalion. He was caught in the radiation of the mega spells and his armor is now a part of him and his skin. Applejack and him were in love, he served with Big Mac during the war until Big Mac was killed saving the Princess. Steel Hooves has a deep gravelly voice that's muffled and a little metallic. When he's not encased in his armor he still has a somewhat deep voice but it's not muffled or metallic sounding.

Red Eye: mastermind villain who is well educated, crafty, cunning, clever and has a plan to wipe out his opposition using the heroine with his sophisticated and smooth talking. He never makes a mistake or miscalculation until the very the end and even then he almost pulls it off. He's has cyber implants and grand vision for the future that he uses slaves to achieve his dream and he recognizes that he is the villain. His end goal is to rebuild Equestria to it's former glory and he feels that the only way to get this accomplished is with an uncompromising iron fist and forced labor for the greater good. He does propaganda radio broadcasts talking about his vision for the ponies of the land.

Hey everyone!! Terribly sorry that I haven't replied or updated you wonderful people as to what's going on with the project. The holidays slammed me and then the project went supernova and I've been struggling to keep up with the sudden and immense explosion. I created a facebook page called Fall Out: Equestria Audio Project and it has gotten so many people interested that they were wanting to get involved. I am amazed at the level and number of people who are willing to help and wanting to be a part of this project. I have been on a mad scramble to gather together audition lines, make videos and try and respond to all of the people who want to try out for a role. Thanks, I am not familiar with who SCS is. Hopefully you could tell me and explain why SCS would make a great narrator, I am always looking for good voice talent as well as staff members.

In case I haven't said it, I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful feedback as well comments and concerns. I try to take everyone's thoughts, concerns and advice to heart.

On a side note, is anyone out there looking for something to be a part of? If so then I think I have the perfect solution. You could join me and be a staff member who will help play a vital part in making FO:E Audio project come to life. You say audio book and then say the opposite of audio book.  

This would be like a podcast or radio show. An audio book is what you are saying you DON'T want it to be, which is someone reading it with no effects or sounds added. I think you're confused. I would know what you want before you start.

 

Oh, also, my answer is no.

1.) Copyright issues with both using Hasbro and Bethesda or whoever the hell makes Fallout material, even if you take not claim that it is yours/you aren't making any cash on it.

2.) You should ask the writers permission, too.

3.) I found FO:E personally dull, overly long, and poorly written. So I also personally would just say no.

Let me see if I can explain what I am talking about. I would like to say I am sorry if I am seeming to confuse the issue of audio book/radio show. I have had the pleasure of listening to many different books on tape/cd, my favorite would be Hank the Cow Dog. The writer actually takes the time to voice each and every character, adds music to the songs that he sings in the book at at times adds in sound. That's the kind of audio book I have in mind. I wouldn't call it a radio series type thing only because the sounds would compliment the words being read along with the sound(s). Hopefully that clears things up a tad bit.

I respect your opinion(s) completely, Fallout: Equestria is not for everyone and it has it's quirks and dull moments I will grant you. As far as copy right issues, I would have a hard time believing that they would waste their energy and efforts on a fictional story that would be really stretching it to make any claims. Of course, I am by no means an expert and I will not even remotely claim to know anything on this subject, me personally, I find it hard to believe that they would target something so small.

I have sent out a message to the writer of the story and I have yet to hear back from them. I actually sent the writer a message a while ago, which was before I even started to do anything on this project. I am moving forward with the hope that the writer would grant me permission to do this project, however if the writer(Kkat) declines then I will simply walk away.

What about the story was dull? I will admit chapters 37 and 38 were extremely long and bogged me down quite a bit, but I felt overall it kept me guessing and wanting more.

You know, I too wish I could have a physical copy. Heck I even looked on ebay, half price books and just about anywhere that might have a physical copy for sale. Nada, nothing, zip zilch. Maybe if the demand increases enough they might do a third round of printing. Audio books are pretty good so long as the production isn't lack luster and subpar, I have listen to many high quality production audio books and sometimes they do a better job of bringing the book to life then reading them yourself. But to each their own likes and enjoyments.
