When I give out my opinion on something.
And when some people think my opinion is wrong and they assume that there is no reason behind it.
And they call me an idiot without even countering my opinion.
Yes, this actually happens.
I'm actually amazed that happened to you, since even the opinion that got me banned from the Unpopular Opinions thread wasn't immediately torched. It was questioned, yes, but I wasn't called an idiot or anything.
As for my own pet peeves, well, I don't really have any. The most annoying thing I can think of is when I want to post something that's been posted already in very nearly the exact wording I would use, or when there are sixty pages of posts and I can't be bothered to read all of them so I pretty much know my reply will have appeared before.

I think it's awesome so many of you do this. I'd like to give it a try sometime but for now I'll simply stick to writing stories. Writing a song and coming up with the music that goes with it seems unbelievably difficult.

You're not the only one. I've felt like a boring, uninteresting person before but really that's just because my interests never overlap with those of the majority of people around me. To me, they were boring and uninteresting too.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, because there will always be a place where you fit in.

I like Rock, Hard Rock, Punk Rock, Power Metal, Uplifting Trance and Euphoric Trance. I do listen to a lot of pony music, but only directly from the show and EQG; brony made music doesn't really do it for me.
Lastly, I have two MLP shirts (well, I'm waiting for the second one to arrive, anyway) and one Applejack figurine someone gave me.

I can go all night if I want to and sometimes I do, but usually 4 or 5 is the limit for me on free days. When I have to get up in the morning somewhere between 1.30 and 2 is the limit (assuming I get up at 7.30). I can do just fine with that little sleep, although any shorter would probably turn me into a raging demon throughout the day.

Why do I keep going? I have no reason to stop. Life isn't always easy, but then what is? Giving up is never the right way, as my mom proved to me. She died four years ago from cancer. It should have killed her two years before that but she refused to give up and always kept fighting even to the very last. There is no way I could do any less.
Sitting around and moping doesn't solve problems; I know this because I've done my fair share of it. I stopped doing that, and now I have a wonderful girlfriend and great friends. I keep going because there frankly isn't an alternative that could be better. As much as I despise the phrase 'yolo' it's true that you only have one life. Wasting it makes no sense to me.

I greet school mornings with any of the following words:
"Christ."
"God...."
"Fuck."
"Why?"
Aside from these eloquent phrases I also have a stunning range of vocalizations in the morning ranging from "Urgh" all the way up to "Heeeennnnnhhhhh".
In addition I curse every deity and demon I know. Then I remind myself how fortunate I am to be able to go to school/college. Then I curse myself and tell myself to shut up.
...This is all before I get out of bed.

"Of course it's all in your head, but why on Earth would that mean it's not real?" - Albus Dumbledore
"Do, or do not. There is no try" - Yoda
"There's no fate but what we make for ourselves." - Either Sarah or John Connor
And lastly for now, a bit of an odd one out but still one that inspired me, personally:
"From all of us together, together we are friends. With the marks of our destinies made one, there is magic without end." - Twilight Sparkle

Just boxers, really. That's the most comfortable for me, anyway.

Or how about Hearth's Warming DAY?
That would be awesome as well, yes

Well we Icelanders also had colonies. We had colonies in Greenland and in Newfoundland (Vinland). It did not end well. http://satwcomic.com/babysitter
We Icelanders are mostly known for our poets and our fair laws (even if you were of high status you could not escape the law). We also have one of the strangest folklore (and a little bit brutal).
I my self am very interested in Dutch accomplishes as they became a wealthy trade nation.
I do find our trade history to be fascinating, not to mention the Dutch influence on pirate lingo (Like "Avast!", which comes from "Hold fast", which comes from "Hou vast"). The problem is that we have a lot of people who feel that we're no longer allowed to be proud of it because of our colonial tendencies. The other day a movie came out about one of our national heroes, Michiel de Ruyter. It received a lot of criticism just because it doesn't mention the colonial atrocities. (This is from a vocal minority, but still)
Anyway, I'm derailing the thread, so I'll stop doing that now

I've watched nearly every episode of the show because I find it hilarious. The main thing I find funny is that whenever they have something that might conceivably have extra-terrestrial origins, they ruin it by introducing more and more stupid variables until eventually every single event in the history of humanity was perpetrated by the aliens.
Even their most intriguing mentions can be disproved by five minutes of Googling, though, which to me makes it all the funnier.

Two things I can easily think of. One is Dragonball Z, which I'd seen for the first time in 1996 on holiday in America. I saw some eps from the Cell saga. I remember telling my friends about it and hoping it would come to the Netherlands one day...which it did about two years later.
Another thing I liked before it was cool was the song 'Everytime We Touch', by Cascada. I'd been listening to Cascada for nearly two years when the radio started playing the song; they even had the nerve to call it 'a new song'. I went full hipster over that.

I wouldn't call yourself an idiot. Just a misunderstanding. I know this because I live in Iceland where Vikings also came from (such as Egill Skallagrímsson that wrestled a Bull since he was so strong).
Well, I could have taken the three minutes it would have taken to Google it, which I neglected to do. But it's awesome that you live there, Iceland is a place I'd love to visit sometime. Plus your history is a lot more awesome by the simple fact of having Vikings in it. We Dutch have this naval past we're no longer allowed to be proud of because 'we had colonies'.

Vikings were up about 790s to the late 1000 (793-1066 to be exact).
Well, just goes to show that I'm both an idiot and lazy. Thanks for correcting me, there.

If I can base it off comparing myself to most of the people who were in my year at school, then yes I would. I at least seemed to value intelligent thought a lot more then the brutish ogres and party loving, trend following sheep that comprised a fair majority of my school year. Outside of that, I dunno. I'm a deep thinker and I have many interests that would usually be seen as something of a higher intelligence, but I still suck at stuff like maths.
This is pretty much my situation as well. I pick things up quickly and I have a lot of interest in subjects that are usually associated with higher intelligence, like theoretical physics. Sadly, I'm too stupid to understand these things. I'm intelligent enough to find it wildly interesting, but not enough to grasp the mathematical concepts behind it all. I am trying to brush up on maths these days though, because I readily acknowledge its uses.

I won't lie; while I'm not afraid of spiders big ones freak me out just the same. I try to catch some of them and release them, but if they're in a position where they might escape and launch themselves at my face I will use excessive violence.

It used to be that I was scared of complete darkness because it made me feel like my eyes didn't work anymore. These days, I'm okay with it although I still feel better if there's at least one stand-by light somewhere.

Frikandellen. And now I watch in amusement as the entirety of non-Dutch people scratch their heads wondering what the hell I'm talking about. It's basically a deep fried kind of...sausage, I suppose, made from this weird-looking meat paste which is in turn made from meat left over on the bones of cattle and contains pork, beef and chicken (and some apparently contain horse.) Most amazing snack ever invented.
-
I'm not entirely sure. I have a lot more friends than I used to have and they usually invite me for stuff, so I'm going to say around 7/10 now? It used to be somewhere around 3 or 4, I think.

If we're talking about just me driving, it will have been around 630 km. Switching drivers my longest trip would be 780 or so km.
In duration that would be six hours for the first, and just under eight for the second.

I'm a grammar nazi both in Dutch and in English. Irony will dictate that I'll screw up in this post, but this particular mistake is one I won't make. Frankly I don't understand how people can make it. Isn't it common knowledge that you're is a contraction of you and are? How, then, could one possibly do it wrong?
Another one that makes steam come out of my ears is 'should of' and variations on it. It's 'should have', people. This is not a difficult concept to grasp. English isn't even my native tongue and I get this right.

Blue-ish, gray-ish, green-ish. It really depends on the light what they look like most.
Equestria Girls 3 Might Be Sports Themed?
in Equestria Girls
As someone who likes sports I think it would be awesome if it was about a sports tournament. However, I wonder how they're going to pull off the magic since it's already known they only transform when they play music. If they start transforming when they play sports too the whole thing will just be a trainwreck. No amount of headcanon can possibly explain that away unless the bonds between the dimensions start to fall apart Reflections style.
