Is Germany favored in any of the events?

Sure, especially the team sports. Hockey, Football/soccer, Handball. We got some very good gymnastics. We have good Equestrian riders. And we are also very good in canoeing.

We will catch some gold in Rio and maybe, we will be under the top 10 nations in this olympics.

I am so hype for the lesser sports!

 

Let's hear it for badminton, field hockey & indoor volleyball!

 

Seriously, all events are amazing, from fencing to gymnastics, to swimming to the track & field.

 

I like the track and field events the least through *shrugs*

 

Also I love me some beach volleyball. 

That's the great stuff about the olympics. You can watch sports, that you usually don't see.

I love following Hockey, because Germany always does good there, considering the man won the tournament 3 times in a row now.

Beach Volleyball is also cool and sometimes Germany also tends to surprise there.

Golf will also be pretty interesting for us germans. Alot of the pros are not going, because of either the zika virus, or the lack of money. Kaymar is going and i think he has a realistic chance at a medal.

Time to revive this thread and to revive the hype.

Unofficially, the olympics start today, with the womens football tournament, as Sweden plays against Iraq at 1:00 PM Brazilian time.

Yup. I can see this film being praised by the public and getting an Oscar nomination, yet the Brony fandom hating it with a passion.

Also, thinking it will get an oscar nomination, is that kinda high expectations that people talk about. Just enjoy it without any statics in your head. Who gives a damn, how much it makes, what prizes it gets, etc. Isn't this about the movie?

Quibble Pants = fandom after Twilicorn. This episode is so meta it's not even funny.

No, that's just not true.

This episode is supposed to teach people, to respect everybodys opinions, be it positive or negative. You base your assumption of "damage control" from nothing.

Quibble Pants is just another mouthpiece for the writers. I knew this would be damage control. Looks like they did a good job defending the mediocre writing.

Mesme Rize, is pretty much the product of my love for hypnosis and snakes, which dates all the way back to my days of watching the jungle book too many times. As an hommage, Mesme Rize also uses the quote "Trust in me" in special situations.

Tommy still occasionally does pony stuff and has expressed some regrets over that video, but I do see the parallels.

 

He could have handled that a lot better, but seeing how we've had some problems around here with fans eating each other up over Season 6, it's understandable that patience runs short with these kinds of people. Most of the important people involved learned their lesson and moved on.

I said enough about it last year and i don't need to bring it up again. If he does, that's cool. But i think i just can't look at him the same way.

Honestly, if anything, Quibble reminds me of the likes of BronyCurious/Tommy Oliver and DigiBrony. I'm not saying that to be negative against them, but Quibbles...well, quibbles reminded me of how they looked at various episodes and how they seemed to me more in line with season 1 & 2.

So much this. They where also both guys that really dropped everything, once Season 4 has arrived.

Tommys "goodbye" vid is something i will never forgive him for.

Very good episode and seriously the best way to start off after the hiatus. It really put me back in the pony mood.

The DD con was a really nice hommage on Bronycon and also cons in general, with cosplayers, merchandise stands and everything a true fan can markout on. I've been to Nipponcon a few times and it's exactly like that there.

Quibble is like the hardcore bronyfan, that is even more into the show, then more of the guys you know. He has to analyse every single bit of it and analyses it so much, that he loses enjoyment in what he is actually into. But it really dosen't mean, that he is an idiot, he is just has a different viewpoint and i think the moral of this episode made that clear. (Also, to my dear friends, who are into analyzing here. Don't take this episode as an offense, because i think that's not what the writers where going for and take it more as a little friendly jab. )

It was also very meta, how Quibble for example made fun of all the cliches. It was fun at some parts, but at others it was a bit over the top. For example, the part where he made a halfhearted attempt to sound like daring do and the henchman ran into the jungle. Sorry, it just was too much at that point.

All in all, very good and entertaining episode.

(Also, Quibble. If you ask Yearling for your fanfic, please, for the love of god, put in some Lamiaponies. XD)

The whole concept of secret identities?

Nothing new on TV in general, if you ask me.

Again, Everything has been done at one point or another. These premieres and finals are not hommages to these other animated cartoons.

Nothing about Canterlot Wedding? I mean the premise is exactly like Invader Zim.

Well, the show is called my little pony, so it's a show about ponies.

And if the show shows alot of Griffons, people will say like "well, why can't more yaks be shown?" "Why can't more buffalos be shown?" etc.

Everything has been done in television, Movies and art in general. You can compare everything that has been done, with something else.

These kinda questions pop up like a few times every season and it really never happend and i think they won't start with it now, because cliffhangers leave someone unfulfilled, especially since we don't know when the new season starts, or if we even get a new season.
