He blinked, and frowned, beginning to float away from her. "...Oh, darn. I suppose that means you'll be waking up soon? And I was really enjoying our talk, too..." "...As for the sentience...I won't lie, it's fun being alive, every day is a new world of possibilities, anything is possible, I can meet and talk with anyone I like! But..." He shrugged, "tell me. What happens to an illusion when it dies out? Does it go to Heaven? Tartarus? Honestly, Tartarus sounds fun. But...No. As an illusion, I don't have a soul. I don't have anything that makes me 'real'. What happens when a being with no soul dies? That's what's scary to me. That's why sentience is frightening." He had managed a smile through his little speech, making a little wave as he floated off. "When Ponykin ends, I poof. When everyone wakes up at the same time, I have nowhere to inhabit, and I go poof. When I tick off Luna more then I should've, poof. But the result is the same: nothingness."

He immediately attempted to duck, once she fired the gun--but it was far, far faster then the flintlock pistols he had originally predicted in his time of living. The bullet didn't hit it's mark--but certainly tore through a chunk of his face, prompting a screech of pain as he stumbled back, clawing at the air in front of him. His claw scratched at something under him, that was previously hidden to Luster; for a moment, hissing filled the room, before a cannonball tore through the deck, hurling straight at her--Firebeak had taken her words into consideration, using something on the ship capable of dealing enough damage to actually damage her. But alas, his plan was ripped short of a poorly-dodged bullet...

The being bumping against the wall fruitlessly stopped for a moment, looking at her with a curious, intrigued expression. Before suddenly hurling towards her at what most would call breakneck speeds, he stopped just short of her; swirling around her body the moment afterwards, a moving ring of a blur, before stopping in front of her once more. "...Eh, I'll believe you. And to be honest, I've seen far, far worse. You wouldn't believe the fantasies of some of those changelings. I don't know if the limitations of reality can provide some of them with what they wanna see..." He grinned, flopping upside down to once again float freely, as if he were in space. But almost immediately after she asked the question, his grin faded. "...No, no I'm not one of those spirits. And honestly, I have no idea how it works--Luna hasn't told me anything if she knows something, and..." He paused. "I just don't understand. And really, I'd prefer if I never achieved sentience in the first place." Another, longer pause. "...It's scary."

"Aw...C'mon. I'm not a bad guy, and I doubt I'd even know where to start." He shrugged, still fruitlessly bumping against a wall as he floated. "And...I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give out info about Luna to random sketchy demonic possibly-Tartarus-bound ponies. Sorry if I'm being assumptious, but you kinda have that bad guy vibe goin' on..." He snickered. "It's all good, though--I just don't wanna tick off someone who has complete control over everything in the dreamscape." "And hey." "That kinda means me, too." He shrugged again, upside down in the dream by now, still bumping the wall as if it would move if he did it enough. "Being made in a dream, and all."

"Oh, uh..." He shrugged, still floating about peacefully. "I wouldn't know where to start about about spreading a nightmare. Nasty little buggers, those are--no, I just wandered into a dream, and that dream happened to be yours. And honestly, even if I wished you ill-harm...I'd be breaking one of Luna's rules." He pat himself resurringly. "And I dunno about you, but I like life." He exhaled, having bumped against a wall lazily from his floating by now. "Nothing to see here, I'm just a spectator in your dream...Dream away. Or we can talk, that's good, too." He beamed. "The stock market is booming, that's a conversation topic."

As she traversed the echo of olden memories, Vivid would feel quite at ease--after all, lucid or not, dreaming was never a threat. Excluding nightmares... But eventually, after walking long enough, she would come across a peculiar pony--one she'd never seen before, dream or reality. Bushy dark blue hair, with a pale blue coat, with bright blue eyes, yes, very blue-themed. He floated about carelessly, in the air, despite neither being a unicorn nor pegasus to grant him flight. Singing a tune, as he went, "now, listen up...Here's a story, about a guy who lives, in a blue world...And all day, and all night, and everything he see's, is just blue, like him, inside and out--" He broke off, once his slow floating turned him to face Vivid, and a cheerful smile stretched over his face--making a wave as he continued floating away. "Hiya! Dreaming about ya childhood?"

@@Blitz Boom, @@Seamore Sandwich, Alrighty, if its okay with Blitz, I think I'll just jump in and implement my own excuse as to why Phantom is there. Or, alternatively, Blitz's character can meet Phantom in a dream, like he initially proposed--either sounds interesting, its up to him. XD

Hmm... Something that I've found, in roleplaying, that greatly annoys me, is when you call out someone's bs in a post that about their character...But they find a loophole around their post, to say 'that's not what he was talking about', or something similar. Or add something additional, to make it seem like your character was the one who was blind to the situation. I mean, when you're caught being wrong...Just accept that, and move on. Probably something small, or even trivial, after all, its still 'just a roleplay', but...It gets under my skin. XD

You could've had the design change--but then again, since the design is good regardless, I'll give this one a half-sin. *ding?* Cutie Mark: Blue Moon has a blue crescent moon as a cutie mark. It signifies his desire to become an astronomer. He earned it when he took a trip to the local Air and Space Museum where his classmates and he were given telescopes for kids. That night, he used his telescope and got so excited learning about all the constellations and planets, and recording them in a notebook. That burst of excitement caused his cutie mark to appear. Now, you can't have Celestia giving him a cutie mark for being the alicorn of--oh? Well, this is a new one. If anything, the only problems I see with this passage is the most half-assed name ever for the museum (I mean, c'mon, 'air'?), and some grammer. Nicely done, and if there hadn't been those few errors, I would've retracted a sin for this. Personality: Blue Moon loves to read and learn about astronomy and the night sky. Loves to read and learn about subjects relating to cutie mark--Applejack likes to buck apples, Twilight likes to practice spells, Fluttershy likes to--yeah, you get what I mean. First sentence is irrelevant. *ding* Also, 'about astronomy and the night sky'--they're one and the same. It's like saying someone was learning how to prepare food and cook food. *ding* This was his main activity he did during his childhood, and as such; he didn't put too much time in learning advanced magic. Nonetheless, he still learned the basic spells most unicorns learned such as telekinesis. He has an extended knowledge of astronomy and related, and is quite smart in general on most subjects. Semicolon doesn't belong. Also, read: previous sins. And I'm not sure if every Unicorn that's not completely engulfed in their cutie mark's talent actually indulges in advanced spells--save for the ones that're like, spell-learning exclusive (I'm looking at you, Moondancer). Who are all in Celestia's School of Best Pony Race. Learned basic spells, like nearly every unicorn in existence, and has extended knowledge over the subject that'll be his destiny, and quite smart in general on most subjects. So he's a NERRRRRRRRRRRD! And generic, truthfully--give him some hobbies. The way he is now, he's pretty much a forgettable guy you meet when you visit the museum. *ding* While he is smart, he can be very stubborn when someone tries to prove him wrong and may argue that he is correct depending on the subject. But most of the time, he is probably one of the nicest ponies you'll meet and is extremely polite. 'Is nice until you're an asshole to him; slap a stubborn flaw on him to be on the safe side', now, I wonder where else I've seen those traits... *ding* When he was a child, he accidentally did something incorrectly in school which caused his schoolmates to laugh at him. From that point, he decided to keep to himself and because of that; he never had much social interaction. Because of this, he became very shy and quiet (this, fortunately, lessened as he aged, but he does act shy every once in a while, depending on the pony). Social anxiety cliche. *ding* He is a quick, but thoughtful, thinker and happens to be very witty whenever he does speak up. He is known to talk to himself too. Socially anxious pony is a deep thinker, talks to himself, and only speaks up when he's got a zinger locked and loaded...Hell, I do those things. *ding* Backstory: Blue Moon had a pretty normal life. He was born and raised in Ponyville, and had loving parents who cared for him. He didn't do a lot of things that were considered "cool" by his schoolmates, but he loved to read. He read quite a lot for a colt his age, and because of all that reading; he was fairly intelligent for his age and that intelligence continued to grow through his life. So, most of everyone irl on this website. *ding* Throughout most of his younger years, he dreamt of becoming Princess Luna's number one assistant. This, however; never came true. ...I'm not sure whether to sin for pointless childhood dream that has no relavance whatsoever, or retract a sin for being one of the few that actually let their OC be reasonable in where they are in life. So I'll do both! *ding* *zzing* Nonetheless, he was blessed with a lovely wife, Autumn, and a beautiful daughter, Clear Skies when he got older, and accepted that he would probably never become Luna's assistant. As of now, he is extremely happy living in a family, and would choose that over being Luna's assistant any day. They currently live in a home in Ponyville. He owns a shop for buying astronomy supplies such as telescopes, and due to his knowledge on astronomy; he usually can help anypony who wants or needs help on the matter. Ah, he runs a store, has a family, and lives a happy life. This guy, while he isn't like those OC's that've 1v1'd Discord to save the omniverse, is still a generic-ass guy. Which can be good. Can be bad. It just depends on how you play him...But I'm sinning for referencing his childhood dream so many times. *ding* Also, if he wanted to be Luna's assistant when he was a foal, and he's old enough to have children and a business shop...Doesn't this mean he's at the very least five years older then Twilight, and if so, when he was a kid Luna was literally nothing more then a fairytale? *ding* Other: Nicknames: Blu, Blue, Bluey, Moon, or Moony. Irreleavence is irrelavent. You can just occasionally have someone call him by a nickname without vocalizing it in his character page--gonna sin this, too. *ding* Sin count: 11.5 Sentence: *drunroll*

see, that's more or less the thing about Phantom. he's not exactly a bad guy, he's just trying to have a bit of fun before fading into nothingness. Luna doesnt think of him as a threat, or anything--she lets him more or less traverse the dreams freely, with one rule: never harm the dreamer. and considering the fact she can pretty much summon him whenever she likes in the dreamscape, he's not exactly inclined to break that rule. but it's not like Luna adores him, either--at best, she just tolerates his existence. because hey, even if he technically isn't real, if he's pleading that he has feelings, and doesn't wanna die...XD but basically, Phantom's problem in this rp is, well, actually making an appearance in the waking world. since he's a phantom of a dream, he technically doesn't exist. an illusion brought on by the brain, that achieved sentience--basically, he cant exist anywhere else but the dreamscape. so im just more or less plopping him down, with little to no explanation. XD

Yeah, sorry for disappearing off the face of the forums save to post in a few rp's from time-to-time, dark souls...kinda consumed me. Like the Abyss did Artorias-- *shot* Anyways, this oc...an abnormal species. A phantom (which happens to be his name), which are basically the 'NPC's' of your dreams. Of course, this means he's completely limited to the dreamworld. Buuuuut...I'd like to presume for some bullsh*t reason (sorry for the language), he's been given some time to hang around the waking world. XD maybe princess Luna cut him some slack or somethin', idk.

Eventually, the pirate came out from the hole, flying onto the deck and looking up at Luster, angled slightly from the hole. He wore a face of apathy, as if he was realizing this fight was for naught. But even through that, he still managed a taunt. "...C'mon then, ye gobshite."
