  1. For me it'll be the third time as I saw Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games in the cinema. Loved the big screen experience both times so definitely looking forward to it again for the movie. And since I'll most definitely be going on opening day, I'm sure I won't be the only brony in the cinema when I go, but if I am, then so be it. I've learned not to care or feel uncomfortable about what others may think because I don't feel there's any reason to. Whether it's MLP, Blade Runner 2049 or Kingsman 2 (all of which I plan to see so that should be quite the fun weekend at the movies), I'm only going to the cinema for the exact same reason as everyone else - to see a movie that I want to see.

  2. Certainly a surprising release from Build-a-Bear, but I guess they thought Minty would be a popular choice for Christmas. The fact that she's in the G4 style does make me wonder if we will maybe see her in Season 7. For whatever reason, she is still well worth a purchase! I got her just under a month ago and she's so adorable. Unfortunately she doesn't come with her own outfit, but there are plenty of festive outfits to choose from the reindeer line, so I got her a red Christmas cape, Santa hat, and I got her stuffed with a lovely smelling peppermint scent. Then I went to a nearby clothes store and got her some socks, because, well it's Minty. She can't be without socks!   :D

  3. Although I do plan to give it another chance sometime, I gotta say Steven Universe as well. I do like the characters and its visual style, but I just think it takes itself too seriously and as a result, I often didn't find it that enjoyable.

Another one for me is Family Guy. I actually used to enjoy it, but whether it's because its style of comedy got tedious, or it became too popular and quoted to oblivion (that Bird is the Word song and episode got grating VERY quickly), I really went off it and I just cannot be compelled enough to watch it at all now.

  4. But... Equestria is real. That said, it is somewhere in South Africa so obviously it's not the colourful, pony-populated land we know it as. But anyway, back on point. If it was real, I would be off to live there and befriend ponies in a second. But I would also hope it was possible for my family and friends to come visit.

  5. Yeah, that's more for like teen drama ala Saved By The Bell, not a kid's show.

It's not like a kid's show can't do this subject as Doug covered it in one episode, but I would have to agree that it doesn't sound like something MLP could handle that well.

    kinda old af but #sunsetisbae

    i still want one ;lol

Seeing this, and your avatar, I was actually reminded of the Star Vs. episode where they queue up for Goblin Dogs. What if the waiting line for a Mini Sunset Shimmer is just a never-ending chain of waiting lines, and people will be waiting in line for years just to get one??

  7. As someone who has Asperger's Syndrome and anxiety disorder, this is an interesting topic that has actually crossed my mind a few times when thinking about Starlight. Since the Season 5 finale, I've always believed that she had some kind of mental disorder. I noticed when watching her childhood flashback in that episode that when Sunburst suddenly left, she didn't understand why and couldn't process it very well. Then there's also the way she wanted revenge on Twilight for taking away her idealised but unethically acquired town and society, and the consequences her actions were having on Equestria just weren't getting through to her. This led me to believe that Starlight doesn't cope well with change, and I know a lot of people don't like change, but in Starlight's case, she clearly really hates it and struggles to adapt to it. Based on both my own experiences and those of others I have known with Asperger's, that is a very common symptom. It's why I'm one of the seemingly few people who didn't have a problem with how the Season 5 finale was resolved in the way it was. It didn't make her actions in that episode excusable, but it made me see her as someone who never intended to become pure evil, but rather someone who went off the rails and never had the guidance she really needed to get back on track. She needed help to rehabiliate herself, not punishment. She also shows symptoms of severe anxiety during her Season 6 appearances, notably with fears of failure and facing ponies and situations that bring back memories of her past.

With all these symptoms, I would say that Starlight does have a mental disorder, but I won't necessarily say it's one on the autistic spectrum. I certainly wouldn't rule it out, but the autistic spectrum is an extremely complex subject and every person's case is a little different, so I wouldn't want to put a conclusive label on it.

  8. "Episode 4 - The Seed of Truth"

Babs Seed abruptly cancels a planned visit to see Apple Bloom, and it's soon discovered that it's because she lied about getting her cutie mark, and couldn't face her cousin as still a blank flank. Now it's up to both the CMCs, and the two ponies Babs mentioned at the Apple Family Reunion (both of whom have also received their cutie marks since then) to help Babs finally get hers.
